Hey Xander! I would say that your review was presented well and fairly. I know what you mean about not having a front and rear facing lcd screen. You would think by now they would have that as a standard but for me personally, as a one r owner, it's not a deal breaker but a bit of an inconvenience. I mostly use the 360 mod so it's not a big deal in that scenario but if I'm using the 4k mod, I do have to switch the screen around prior to shooting. I do like how often insta360 have firmware updates throughout the year to add features to their cameras, bug fixes and they also ask users to give feedback to future features they would like to see made for the cameras and from what I've seen so far, insta360 is good for listening and delivering! There are things they can improve on(higher frames per second at 4k for slowmo wouldbe nice), like many other camera manufacturers but overall, I think they have good products.
Hey man! Glad you enjoyed the review! I definitely would like to get a hands on test run on this camera especially with the 360 camera mod to compare with my GoPro Max. I'll most likely eventually buy one of their cameras (the Insta Go 2 and Leica 1 inch are my favorites from their lineup). I do love hearing that they do take their customer feedback very seriously. Excited to see what their next cameras are going to be!
@@ActionXander yes, they are good for asking for feedback and making changes. One firmware update they added the loop recording mode, which I don't know why it wasn't already there to use but was glad the added it. I plan on utilizing that feature for fishing so I don't miss the hookset which I've done a lot in the past. I also had my original camera core malfunction. The screen went black and so I couldn't go through settings or anything but could still record. I contacted insta360, explained the problem, took a short video powering on camera to show screen doesn't work. I had to ship it back to them. Long story short, they sent me a new core to replace the other. So they are a pretty decent company in my opinion.
That's an awesome testimonial! GoPro has some customer service but they do charge fees and sometimes they'll even deny a product replacement at their own discretion 🤣 I do love that insta360 is committed to improving their products via firmwares and they do listen to their audience. I have played with their app before and it's super fun and user-friendly, which is another huge plus.
