- In this video I team up with my boy Jake to remove the stock hood on my MK5 Supra and replace it with a Carbon Fiber Hood from Seibon Carbon. This hood is special to me as it was my Christmas gift from my wife. She teamed up with a90 shop without my knowledge and surprised me with the most aggressive upgrade I have done so far! Looks awesome! How does leaving it out in the rain work with the vents on the hood?
I wouldn’t recommend leaving it out in the rain. The vents aren’t exposing anything concerning but still I’d recommend just getting a car cover for rainy nights of your park in a driveway.

Don’t roast me but 2 questions
1. is there any issues with rain/water getting into the engine bay
2. I’ve always wondered about prop 65 concerns and carbon fiber parts getting hot due to being close to the engine and possibly having fumes get

Valid question lol, vents are real and properly placed so heat actually escapes very nicely and at some points can be visually seen breathing through the hood. Vents aren’t open over anything to where rain damage would be an issue. Actually 2 good questions lol no roast necessary.

How much weight saving over the aluminum hood?
Great question but I don’t know the exact weight difference however there is definitely a noticeable difference when lifting them.
