Sometimes I don’t understand why some videos get dislikes. This is perfect DIY. He showed everything step by step. I did it, it was my first time and it come out perfect. Thanks for the video, bro.
as a guy who does this for a living, i can say, no, its not prefect DIY and this is kinda hard to watch because he makes some decisions that make his wrap harder to accomplish, but hey, he got the job done in the end so no dislike here, but no like either.
Because this is not Carbon Fiber wrapping. This is vinyl wrapping. It's not AT ALL the same. He even wrote CARBON FIBER in uppercase XD. The process has nothing to do with actual CF wrapping, the results looks half as good, and it doesn't add any strength. In the case of dash parts strength doesn't matter, but actual CARBON FIBER wrapping is used a lot to strengthen a part... This video doesn't help whatsoever with that. This is why he gets dislikes.
When I first started watching your channel I only watched the BMW videos because I own a BMW. Now I watch every single video you upload simply because your content is very educational and entertaining. Even the background music is somewhat soothing. Lol. Great job with the vinyl wrap. Looks stellar! Keep it up the amazing videos Justin!
I used ordinary eBay matte blue vinyl on my 2009 crv. This little square piece you cannlift off that's on the top. Anyway l wrapped it without proper preparation like wiping it with alcohol etc. Just normal wiping it clear of dust. Then wrapping it. First time as experiment and that piece gets full sun exposure everyday. 2years later it's holding on pretty nice and clean. My point is. Imagine if it was top quality adhesive vinyl or had proper preparation. I'd imagine it'd hold on good for at least double the time. The colour was same as first day as well. So anyone can do it and with practice you could get professional looks even on the more complicated parts you're doing. Hope that gave you abit of an idea.
I came here to see you Skate! Haha. Lot of fun Bro!. Been planning to do a vinyl wrap too but still finding the confidence to do it. Thanks for showing this video
I'm kind of surprised that I don't see more people use some windex to help position the carbon fiber rap. It helps a lot and as you're using the hair dryer it will dry it as you're forming it around the radiused edges and corners and it gives you a little bit of 'slip&wiggle' to work with also.
At first I thought no way this will look good and by the end well just WOW 🤩 Maybe it’s a big side hustle for the people that don’t have your skills. Cool skateboard ending I bet you end up with more concrete Parker’s for you and your friends! I’m too old but it would be fun to watch! Thanks for the video
Was hoping to see how you dealt with the window on the 2nd piece. When you make relief cut at each corner how do you keep the cuts from being visible? Obviously you want to keep your cuts on back side so they're not seen, but wondering if the material wraps well enough to do this?.
Been watching for a while, I work at a wrap shop an the only thing I have to say about your wrap other than it was pretty good is the fact that you use a bare squeegee lol. Usually you’d wanna use some sort of felt or soft surface when rubbing the squeegee on the vinyl. No big deal but just something I wanted to point out cuz you risk scratching the vinyl also using a heat gun can be a lot easier I wrapped for the first time with a hair dryer and it sucked especially things like mirror caps that are more complex not too hard to use just have ti be more careful and use it sparingly so you dont overheat it. Anyways keep posting cool stuff!
Thanks for the tips! Usually when experts watch my videos they just rip me apart without actually giving useful advice. In the sharp corners I can defiantly see where a heat gun would have made stretching a lot easier. I'll use one for my next project for sure!
Matt carbon vinyl isn't my thing, just looks like the book covers we had when I was young. I would've wraped it in 4D gloss carbon, but to each their thing. Also are you guys going to change the rear F1 fog light style light to an LED one?
Great instructional video....very inspiring for me to have a go myself....well done and thanks for taking the time, you make the job look very easy! Cheers from Australia..👍🏻
Looks great! I think I'm going to try to wrap the hood of my truck cuz it looks the clear coat is about to start failing. It's 15 years old and I really don't want to repaint it. Thanks for the great video.
Perfect fit. You make it look so easy. I try to wrap my chest freezer. the idea is great but it's full of creases. I'll try it again again and add heat. Thanks for the tips.
I’m looking to do this with the bezel along my grill. Do you think the 3M would hold up well with some clear coat on it? My idea is to apply a few coats, then wet sand and buff it. Trying to have it look as close to the real thing as possible.
This is really helpful video .. no black loud music in the back ground no posing no high fives and no B/S just a good information and good video on how to do this step by step 100% brilliant 👏 👌 Hope that's not your wife's hair dryer 😊
Yes sir! Don’t listen to what others say I promise you it leaves residue and ruin your piece So you’ll have to Re wrap if u ever take off your 1st film
I clicked on the video to see how well you wrap those pieces and was very impressed with how it turned out, and then you throw some skating content on there as well. Good stuff man!
dude this is great! my interior is starting to look a bit dated on my civic, even though the dashboard itself looks pretty modern. Going to try this soon :D
Idk if it’s just me but there’s something so soothing and satisfying when you wrap something and it comes out perfect. Almost therapeutic lol
Speedy Gonz F22 I agree! It’s so frustrating to work with but the end result is worth it 😅
@@justinbuice I wraped the whole Interior trim of my BMW E91 Man it took so long to get it perfect! But the endresult looks amazing
@@jonask.864 This video was almost an hour long before I cut it. And that was just for those two pieces!
@@justinbuice The E90 took like 2 days with 6 hours each day and a lot of swearing! After that i told myself to never do something like that again 😂
Just carbon wrapped my trim pieces and I feel that! The feeling I got after it all went back in and looked good was therapeutic af lol
Sometimes I don’t understand why some videos get dislikes. This is perfect DIY. He showed everything step by step. I did it, it was my first time and it come out perfect. Thanks for the video, bro.
Cuz he showed how to do the easy part and not the more complicated dash piece...
Peanut butter and jealous!!!
Haters

*alright now we just start wrapping*
can we get a year update video? i would love to see how it held up thru the last year!!
:))
it's 3M heat gunned on. it'll probably take something thermal nuclear to get it to start peeling. haaa jk

Sir you performed a flawless job on that wrap. True love for your hobby.
Really awesome video, please consider showing in detail how you handle the inside radii on the radio trim.
Damn...you nailed that line up with the pattern!
Nice job. My 128 got the same carbon wrap and the wife went with a blue brushed metal on her E93. Totally worth the time and frustration.
Thanks! Just got my Carbon sheets and had no idea how to apply it. LOVE the video!
Those patterns matched up perfectly... 👌🏽
I was relieved when I saw how they looked in the car lol
I came here to see you Skate! Haha. Lot of fun Bro!. Been planning to do a vinyl wrap too but still finding the confidence to do it. Thanks for showing this video
Great job Justin! It has given me a few ideas to try out. Stay safe and healthy. Cheers from Ohio.
Martyn H it’s a fun project for sure. We got a roll of the brushed steel for my dad’s car for after lockdown
Serious question.. This would be my first time doing something like this should I buy the kit and do it myself or is it that difficult? Thanks!
I very much enjoyed your video and learned something too. Can't ask for more than that. Have fun with your parking block. Kowabunga, bro!
I know this is a year old but ima say this, you motivate me to to make changes to my car and your content is great!
Thanks!
Still one of the cleanest 86s around dude. That video was satisfying to watch!
Bilal Ehsan thank you!

Good job matching the pattern between the two pieces.
Great video and a tremendous help for my project. It would be great to see close up how you are doing those relief cuts for the corners.
You are the most chillest dude ever! Great video my guy! Insane results too! Nicely done.
Good call on keeping the wrap going the same direction
great! you need to CF the diffuser, will look SICK!
I went with actual carbon on my interior. Had wrap prior. 10x better for sure. Olm makes some good options for skin overs
At first I thought no way this will look good and by the end well just WOW 🤩
Maybe it’s a big side hustle for the people that don’t have your skills. Cool skateboard ending I bet you end up with more concrete Parker’s for you and your friends! I’m too old but it would be fun to watch! Thanks for the video

And is it okay to put 5d on the dashboard?
Excellent job J-Boogie 👏🏾🔥💯
Buying that parking block was a great idea!
I love it. even just going to the street to get my mail i'll hit a little boardslide on the way down lol
Nice job with the video. Try getting better camera shots as your hand is in the way sometimes. Also, looooose the funky music!

Nice!
whats the name of the 3m adhesive and where to buy it??
I can use the same method on the dash to my bike?
Nice work bro, I see a very good wrap, I don't know why almost all videos use vivid instead of 3m, 3m is easier to wrap than vivid?
Thank you for doing that for me! ♥️ It came out perfect!
illestprincess no problem! Much better than before :)
What do you drive?
Kool video Justin, wrap your bmw interior in vinyl. It’ll look kool
