Somebody had to say it… Grommet Curtains and Matching Furniture Set This video could only be better if you had photo clips of some of the Opinions Little surprised that Ceiling Fans didn’t make the list If I ever hit the lottery I will definitely gave you a call Happy Holidays from NC
Hi Kristen 😊 I'm not mad at you in the least! You're a professional designer and I have good taste. So there you have it. It's a win win! I've never been nor will I ever be a 😏 pillow chopper. It's a pet peeve of mine. Thanks 🖤
I dislike everything that the influencers are pushing. I design a space based on the style of the house and location. Everything has to be cohesive. Shuler may work in some modern spaces. I hate white subway tiles, because they are everywhere and look cheap.
Hey gorgeous talented Kristen, If we’re tuning into your channel, that means we like your taste ( of course I mean your whole team). So, keep up the good job of informing us. 🙌🥰
I love everything Lifestyled Co. And agree with all of these opinions except for disliking chrome. I think it looks cool on dark wood furniture. Fun video . Happy holidays!
I agree with pretty much everything. That said, can I add a few: vinyl plank flooring, vinyl siding, outdoor floodlights, randomly placed exterior stone veneer-this last gripe has a big exception, and that is when it’s used to cover a cement foundation. Most of the time, however, it’s used as some sort of weird decorative exterior trim. Not attractive.
As a designer I don't feel like many of these were very unpopular (to me). But, I didn't realize that paint finishes are more durable, that's so helpful moving forward!!
My biggest design hate is brown on brown on brown on brown on brown. There is nothing more depressing. Especially in Arizona where everything outside is brown on brown.
Not a designer but watching your channel for inspiration as I’m building a home currently. I made a big deal about adding schluder and stuck to my guns when my builder tried to talk me out of it 🙈 We’re talking production home here so the alternative was exposed edges.
As I sit here watching your video, our guest bathroom tub/shower surround is being remodeled. Thank goodness I am going with Bedrosian Cloe White tile (stacked vertically) and white marble pencil liner instead of Schluter!! It is turning out gorgeous and I thank you for introducing me to Bedrosian Cloe White and I am taking it to the ceiling (10 ft)!! Love all of your videos!!!
The last one is my favourite. I stopped watching a lot of shows because the template was always the same - 4 weeks and 100k and you have a new house! I wish they took their time and showed us the process.
Hallelujah! I was over the pillow chop the first time I saw it and I never understood why it took off as a design standard! Sing it from the mountaintops… stop the chop!!!
Like most other listeners I totally agree with much of what you say nothing wrong with any of it. Keep these videos coming, but perhaps bring some photos or pictorial examples of properties that you’ve Designed which are the positives or opposite to the let’s just say, bad taste examples, which you described and with which I agree. Great vid great content!❤
Accent walls are a product of television design influence in the early 2000s. There was an Avant guard TV design show, Trading Spaces, that became so popular it rivaled HGTV. The premise was a show with extreme time and budget constraints using the homeowners as DIY labor. This in turn created a LOT of accent walls. HGTV, in the early 2000s, made a huge pivot from high end designers to trendy shows. Flip shows and budget decor shows use an accent walls to give a space SOME personality without the cost and time of a full makeover. It being a time and money saving style makes it a bit cheesy in this bracket of the design world.
I concur with all of your points. And I never understood how or why the karate chop thing on the centre of throw pillows became so popular. It looks so unnatural. Thanks for your great content!💯👌👍

Random - what is the project you did that has a corner bar that wraps around to both kitchen and living room area - had neat rail bar for bottles? I’m trying to show my family but can’t remember which video!

I thought I was the only one who was so particular with the taste of my water 😅 I’ll have to try out Aquasana and see if it helps me ditch the water bottles!
Oh my gosh I should of watched the whole thing before I finished. I have a new neighbor. We were talking about curtains and she invited me in to see her new curtains. They were grommet curtains, think I made a face, caught myself and said normally I'm not a fan but thought hers looked nice. She hasn't talked to me since 😅. I'm ok with that, lol. Made a mistake, tried to recover, but......
Love how apologetic you are about all your ‘dislikes’ 😂 Spot on though on all counts! I agree most clients have TOTALLY unreal expectations about time AND budget! Have been guilty of the ‘accent’ wall in the past but I’ve been over that for a decade or more! 😅 Keep up the great work girls. 🩶🤎🤍🖤
I have white cabinets with a blue island, the color is called amalfi, named after the Italian amalfi river. Quartzite counter tops. I agree with you as far as the accent walls I don't like them. The rooms look unfinished to me.
Thanks to Aquasana for sponsoring this video! Head to bit.ly/4f69i78 for 55% off all systems $49 and up, plus free shipping!
I agree with almost everything. I wish you would have shown sample pictures of each design.
Thank you so much for watching and for the feedback! 🖤

Kristen I haven’t even finished the video and agree with everything thus far. The accent wall has always been a weird concept.

Thank you so much for watching! Yes they are the same! We recommend polished nickel if you are looking for a more silver finish 🖤

I can guarantee that most cringe design styles have all come from HGTV. Specifically the property bros. They are horrible.
Yes Schluter is nasty but ???
Thanks for watching!
I never liked the chopped pillow trend 🫢 I never did mine like that lol
