Is there no risk of causing a cardiac spasm?

This is an important question. But nobody seems to want to answer it.

For this work out, other than "highest bare able intensity"...are there recommended Pulse Width and frequency Hz settings?

I would assume the thing is safe for anyone without a pacemaker. Great Job Compex Marketing for not getting this guy an answer. -_-

This is not placed on the heart only on chest mussels

I think that they should explicitly talk about this topic and explain it in detail.

Heart is behind rib cage and lower down from pad placement, chest mussels are in front last time I checked anyway .
EMS Device is not connected to the mains electricity you should be safe enough.

@@declanmccormack3263 You are right of course. But there are some things to consider. Such as maximum tolerable intensity and at what point to much electricity goes to deep.
There are settings such as Russian stim with a 2500hz carrier frequency which reduces resistance allowing the stimulation to go both deeper in to the body and increasing contraction intensity while being more comfortable at the same time allowing for a higher tolerable max level on top of that.
My stim device instruction manual says to stay clear of the Pectoral region.
Admittedly they don't want the responsibility if something where to go wrong even if it probably wont.
Than there is pad placement perhaps placing the pad on a motor point further from the sternum will allow for greater more efficient contractions further from the heart with less electricity.
I just think that these points are worth addressing. What are the risks, under which conditions are they true or false, How to approach the Pectoral muscle for maximal Pec stimulation while minimising cardiac stimulation.
A lot of people in this comment section have questions or are unsure about approaching this safely. While Compex obviously have no interest in providing any answers.

If you have a heart condition don't use it.
If you set up your compex for EMS work out rather than teins setting use it at a 7 out of 10 tolerance don't go beyond the threshold if your body is not capable .teins would be running at a higher level of intensity than EMS warm up or work out
When you set it up for your traps it is closer to your heart than on your chest.
There is a safety features called MI Intelligence (mi range mi scan) where compex test motor points for work out and backs off intensity if area not capable of withstanding stimulation.
This is at it best on S.P8 on S.P6 but not as good doesn't test each motor point only two
I've used device for more than two years for warm up and if needed recovery it Hasn't altered my heart beat yet and really helps if useing for warm up to stop imbalances in mussel group . Suppose you have to use to find out.
I'd say most company's say not to place on chest if you have an underlying heart condition and didn't know about. Might be cause for concern and they don't want to take the blame for someone not knowing there own body tollarance.
Commen sense if it doesn't fell right or its hurting you causing mussel lock after use or during. Then stop using it.
It would mean there is a problem in nervessystem.

Never place near the heart! This is a TENs unit demonstration. Do NOT attempt this with an EMS unit! Professionals might use an EMS on the pectorals but the usually have a medic in site.
