    When i made these for a friend I cut the pieces that go next to the body from regular fabric. I then cut a lining for these two pieces instead of using bias tape.
    Sew around the hole with the lining. Clip curves. Turn right side out and top stitch. Sew lining to bottom section. Turn right side out.
    Stitch together and turn right side out.
    Makes a nice neat finished item

      thank you so much. My daughter just had surgery and still in hosp. thought this will be a nice way to help her feel better. how thick is the fold over elastic?. that’s the only thing I don’t have yet

      @@lisadesmond2624 I hope your daughter has a quick recovery! You can use any width of fold over elastic. I've used a narrow 20mm & medium width 30mm (10mm & 15mm when folded) one for all the covers I've made. If this is your first time applying fold over elastic, go with a medium width one, and choose one with a plush side that you can use against the skin.
