What a great bunch of makes! And thank you for being the first personn to say what I've always thought about pajamas! I wear them to sleep in, I don't want to make something complicated!
How handy to have a fabric store directly across the road. You don't even need to have a stash. You can just go across and pick up what you need whenever you need it. You have made a lot of lovely things! I love the green and lavender colour scheme.
Thank you, I do seem to have leaned towards that colour scheme havent I?! Haha, far too dangerous to have the fabric shop across the street….. but it’s a good exercise in self discipline 😂
Inga from Knitting Traditions made an oversize 'dickey' with ties a couple episodes ago if you look on her channel to get the name of the pattern. She wears it for cross country skiing.
New to your channel, hello ! Thanks for sharing really lovely makes. The Vali top and your blanket jacket are super!. The knitted vests are so lovely ( am not a good knitter!) . I sewed a lot in 2022 but just made a vlog of 5 heroes and 5 wanabees !
Hi Sian, happy new year 🎉. Canberra is also finally getting some summer weather with a week of mid 30s. Makes it much harder to keep up the knitting - but I have a test knit on the go so have to just keep washing my sticky hands. It’s years since I’ve sewn but got myself new machines for Christmas so I’m looking forward to some dressmaking - thanks for the pattern recommendations and analysis it’s very helpful.
Why do patterns have so many plunging necklines - they give a rather "common" look (or cheap as we say in America). Wondering who designs them, women or men? My husband doesn't like them on me, and that makes me feel very special and respected. Yeah!

😂 You are so welcome! Yep PJs must be comfy & are to be slept in.
Thank you, I appreciate the way you comment your projects!
You are so welcome!
Suddenly feeling the need to move across the street from a great fabric store!
😂 I both highly recommend & advise against it!
Now I know about your MKAL shawl. It was beautiful yarn. Glad to hear it’s stashed away for a something else.
Haha! Yes it all became too much for me 😂

Yes, that’s the Amy Slipover 😃 I love her version 💕 so cozy!
Your bomber jacket is amazing. I wouldn’t line the sleeves either when you have a cashmere blend fabric. Your sewing is lovely!
The slipover is lovely and I love the colour! 💙
Thanks Jennifer 😂 shortcuts are a good thing sometimes
What is an Op Shop?
@@jenniferbarrett3272 it’s a charity shop/ thrift shop. They call them Op (opportunity) shops here in Australia.
@@theobsessivemaker what a cool name. We generally call them thrift shops here. I like op shop better.
Oh you should so add little Pom poms to the bottom of the strings on your blue flap hat - perfection!! ❤ Love the round up - thanks for the episode 😊
Great idea!!
