Not the first time this method has been done. It's real footage digitized to match how you drive. Unfortunately if your speed doesn't match their recording, it lags the video till matched.
I saw that Square Enix is going to be releasing a new version of Densha De Go by December. Unfortunately, I think it’s only going to be released in Japan. Still going to have to pick it up one way or another as I love the series!
@@scottianson384 I did! I ended up buying it through the Playstation Store (had to create a separate account). I played it all over the holiday break I had and enjoyed it thoroughly. There's a discord channel out there (gotta find the link) and they made an incredible translation guide. I hear the Switch version is coming out in March and honestly, I really enjoyed the Vita version so I may get a Switch just to play DDG on the go.
I looooove these Japanese train sims. The developer must have moved from the PS to Nintendo. Noob question. Can’t you play these on the Switch Lite? It’s impossible to find a Switch these days
Hmm yea its weird. It's not 'lag' as such, just the FPS of the background is tied to your trains speed. I think you can kind of ignore it and appreciate its just the style of the game?
@@SwitchedOn yes you're right, but Im a real train nerd lol but I just can't get passed that fps dip... Even more so when I play Densha de go on my phone which plays flawlessly, the switch is slacking somewhat.
Still dont think its out worldwide yet. Best bet is Play-Asia - details are in the description of the vid. Either get the physical from there, or setup a Japanese account and buy the credit from Play Asia, but... its not cheap :(
Great news that this quirky train simulator will be coming to a wider audience in the West in April 2020. Is this one you will be picking up?...
OMG! I can’t wait! I loved playing this on my 3DSXL! I really enjoy these kinds of games!
Thanks Paul, looking forward to this.
It's a steal at only 120$ definitely gonna buy it
Never watched one of these but it's surprisingly relaxing.. I would watch a similar video again if you wanted to put one up!
Thank you! I may well do over Xmas
Damn those realistic graphic
Still can't find it in the E Shop. Is the western release delayed?
It must be, I've looked all over the place and it's not been released yet. :(
I can’t even find it in the Japanese eshop
@@Hookie995 It's in the Japanese eShop under the Japanese name. Not sure if it includes the English text though.
is it just me or did they layer over gameplay over the driver cab view video only? thats charming no need for insane graphics

Thank you so much this video!!
Loved these games on 3ds. Cant wait till they come west. I will pick up a couple of them.
Is this Ever coming in the west?
So It got released in the uk?
Is it worth buying all the train sims on jp switch physical or do you think they will get to eshop in uk?

Did you get it? It's alot of fun.

One of my favourite games of the year. So much fun.
Nice video! I would love to see one also showing your controllers - I'm having a hard time learning how to play this lol
Wow! Can i play this on the Oled? I am getting my Oled soon!
Yup
I have this on 3DS and I would love this on the switch. I don’t know where to buy it
In the Nintendo eShop and it's also on PS4 now.
That is so coolll looks very interesting, talk about only in Japan 😊
I'm loving this game. Wish there was some tips and tricks vids out there for English speakers though.
Oh woops wrong game. I'm playing A Train the tourism game.
How did you get this, I can't find it
How do I unlock the free line mode
Are the stations and lines and scenery based on real commuter rail lines?
Yup, absolutely are! The game is actually playing real life video footage from the journey as you go along!
if I buy this on my Japanese account but my switch has English will it be translated like yours?
Yes, the game supports English language.
@@SwitchedOn thankyou

Yup you can. Any game can be played on the switch lite apart from motion centred (usually family / party) games.
Is this going to be released for the US market?
islandsnow yes, in March.
Unfortunately this game is not out in the western market and probably won't be coming out
It has a physical release I'm sure - had listings. Whether the current world situation has delayed that, but was due in ... March I think...
The lag in this game is a deal breaker for me ☹️
