idk if im looking into this too much but I'm starting to think he's not that good of a pogo player given that he doesn't remember ANY ultra beasts despite them being a massive deal when they came to the game. like did he just not do any raids for them? was he not playing? he also said he doubts kartana is a better attacker than roserade which is....insane, if you know shit about pokemon go
watching NL instantly think to put Buzzwole for Bug/FIghting, seeing and reacting to Guzzlord in the same menu, and not knowing either of them are ultrabeasts is just peak NL Pokedoku. Also, for someone so Gen 1/2 pilled, he goes for Buzzwole instantly instead of Heracross. Its too good.
NL's memory should be studied. I can't remember the month I saw literally any non-holiday movie. My memory of seeing 99% of movies is, "oh yeah I saw that." No idea when. Probably no idea who with. There's a chance I forget even seeing it at all.
1:01:10 NL (about "Us") : this shit probably made around 63 mln $ opening weeekend Actual opening weekend: 71 mln in US. NL shows yet again he knows his box office.
There's a fun way to softlock the pokedoku on this day, thanks to the two bug/fighting ultra beasts from Alola. Put buzzwole and pheremosa on row two in either order and it's *impossible* to get 9 filled, since you can't use the same guy twice and those two are the only fighting type ultra beasts.
I agree with NL on sugar and alcohol but Caffeine is genuinely in too much shit for zero purpose and it's a genuine concern because like, it is a stimulant so it is pumping your heart. As someone who can't have it anymore bc I'm already tachycardic let me say this: caffeine is honestly probably the most slept on contributing factor to the rise of heart disease outside of leaded gasoline.
I really don't want to sound like a 50yo suburban mom, but doesn't anything that produces dopamine can become an addiction? Doesn't that make videogames the most normalized addiction? I would know, because videogame addiction nearly ruined my life because I kept ignoring my body sending me alert signals because I wanted to keep playing.
sleep quality, suppresses appetite (bad for people who want to gain weight), irritability in the absence of caffeine. I mean its not bad, idc, I partake in a lot of bad addictions - but i'm sure society would at least look different without caffeine
Trying to divert attention from his phenylalanine addiction I see, I heard the can scramble. If you can't sleep without sound you need to fix your GABA production and make sure monoamine oxidase is working.
I think me too technically cuz i havent played hogwarts legacy and I remember playing that game for 15 minutes on a cd rom during free time in 3rd grade
The way he described the title it didn’t talk about harm, though. Just “normalized” and “addiction”. I feel like alcohol addiction isn’t really normalized. Alcohol *consumption* is normalized, sure. But you best believe that “I don’t function until I’ve had my coffee” would get a different response to “I don’t funtion until I’ve had a drink”
@@matthewdebeer8453so true. There's so much in place to help with alcohol addiction. Also when you hear "alcohol is a normalised addiction" sounds a little bit believable. But if you say "alcoholics are normalised" you can immediately say no they aren't. I'd say that supports what you're saying a little, because people are falling to a bias with the wording.
@kenpatchiramasama1076 bro wtf back end of the world do you live in? my surroundings are like, if someone says they're an alcoholic, you'd be like: hand over mouth "omg" "are you functional still? do you want to talk about it?"
Love how Buzzwole left such an impression on him after discovering it on Pokedoku that he remembers it by name

It's because he saw buzzwole in one of the previous pokedokus. And I mean, you don't really forget buzzwole
Buzzwole might be one of the top five greatest Pokémon(esque) to have been created
NL's reaction to guzzlord is pretty good
NL's memory should be studied. I can't remember the month I saw literally any non-holiday movie. My memory of seeing 99% of movies is, "oh yeah I saw that."

sounds like your memory should be studied
Librarian doesn't need to watch other movies. NL needs to watch Sky High. Shit is life changing
thank you for this information, Josef profile picture, very cool

NLs parenting skills 10/10

You're right, that is fun :)

there is no link between moderate caffeine consumption and heart disease
@@trussmedaddy3522 Elevated resting heart rate is known to have long-term risks. Constant caffeine exposure simulates the same thing.
luna rulez
Sky High is to Librarian as The Last Duel is to Egg
That geography barstool question is the first one that has ever stumped me. Portnoy must have been writing them that day
9:11 "Oh no, it's too beautifully shot." right after guessing _Michael Bay_ and _The Fast and the Furious._ The innuendo here is crazy LMAO I can't
I really don't want to sound like a 50yo suburban mom,

Doesn't that make videogames the most normalized addiction?

How has nobody said social media. It’s obviously the most normalized addiction
“Fake fan” “nah I’m an authentic hater”
They're anything but
My gf told me this comment gave her the ick
@@JD-wu5pf +2 but now she says that too
when he couldnt think of marshadow it reminded me of that one scene in sky high
luna is so cute, when she came on screen and just laughed for 3 minutes that was adorable

Muppet Christams Carol goes hard in the paint.
NL of course a 14 year old boy is not going to like 'Interview with the vampire'
Watch it again now and you'll understand why it's so good.
As a Thunder fan the way he pronounced Daigneault made me shiver
I just realized I’ve been smiling the whole pokedoku session, that was so cute
But what about southern lion?
addiction doesn't mean bad for you, caffeine is addictive, that doesn't mean it's harmful necessarily. the whole logic here is flawed
Harry Potter was definitely a platformer with no fantasy or RPG elements
i haven't seen an NL video in so long so i didn't realize how much luna has grown BUT OMG SHE'S SO CUTE
Owned by the lightning, and not the Tampa Bay Lightning
caffeine take was a rare northernLion ngl

this arcane knowledge in the YT comments is mind blowing wut
Did the bio major on the screen just get schooled by the bio major in the comments?
Bro that harry potter game from 2002 is actually really good. Spent more time playing that than the new Hogwarts game
I think me too technically cuz i havent played hogwarts legacy and I remember playing that game for 15 minutes on a cd rom during free time in 3rd grade
in my opinion, northernlion is kind of an ironic name.

"seton" is NOT an English word. "to set on" does mean "to attack" though

Caffeine actually helped civilizations, and trade, with spices. Spices used to cost around the same as gold.
