I visited the Howard home in July 2015. I don't remember the Picket fence. I donated a copy of Weird Tales to the Museum that had a Conan story. The story didn't make the cover, "The Vampire Master" had that honor.
I have been following your page for years but must have missed this when it was published. Great vid! Macabre question.... is his suicide note and gun in the museum?
No to both. The actual note hasn’t been found. Some believe that the family of the friend who loaned him the gun still have the gun somewhere. But no one knows for sure.
@@warriorphotog36 When I toured the house, my tour guide told me that they'd had someone come in who wanted to lay down on the very spot where REH died, so they could photograph him there. Well, whatever floats your boat, I guess, but I was content to sit in REH's room to pose for a photo at the typewriter. Enjoyed your video, which is a fairly comprehensive summary of the tour for those who can't make it.
Imagine what could have been. Thank you from a long time Howard fan.
Excellent and informative video. Thank you.
Visited the house a few days ago. It was awesome
Thanks for that mate
Thanks for this tour. Nice to see a picture of his mother too.
This is excellent!
Thank you for the hard work you put in for these videos. Subbed.

Thank you for sharing this. Its an experience I've wanted but Texas is far for me
I know that Dr.Howards letters to H.P.Lovercraft still survive and have been reprinted. Do Lovecraft`s letters to Dr.Howard still exist?
I am not sure. If so, they would be in one of the Lovecraft letter collections
@@warriorphotog36 I agree. Do you know what happened to Dr.Howards papers?
Not quite as good as being there but makes up a little for not being able to get over again this year

@@warriorphotog36 The gun exists and is owned by Project Pride and the REH Museum.
@@billcavalier1243 When did this happen?!
This is where Conan the berserker grew up at.
this is creepy it is none of our business as to the nature of his home
How is it creepy?
Are you afraid of museums or of history?
