Yes, they went on location in Korea to shoot this MV, it's not green screen. It was a 2 day shoot if I'm not mistaken. You can watch The Making of 'Not Today' MV.
Awww, Yes! I remember they were soooo cold! But they did an amazing job and it was worth it.
You want hip-hop? They can do that. You want RnB, soft ballads or EDM/pop? They can do that while their lyrics touch on mental health, suicide, female empowerment, government criticism, art/literature references/social issues and symbolism. Always assume there is a deeper meaning behind their music videos, cause 95 percent of the time there is. They are known for that and being humble and very hard working. Sometimes practicing up to 12 or more hours a day.

Siti Fajarani I know when I first got into bts I thought it was a bunch of green screen but look at the behind the scenes they really can do this live on tour all last year it was their opening song and their footwork live is ridiculously in sync

7:30 wow, that comment about the ‘sky’ and their formation, i just now understood why they were dancing on glass. That formation they made portrayed a flock of birds flying together, and with your comment about the sky thing, that made sense because they actually look like they’re flying in the sky! My mind is blown right now, even though i’ve watched this music video so many times😅

In korea u have 3 big Company whid a lot off artist, Bts is from a small Company whid no budget when the started, and the was told the never gonna make it, is hard that artist from small Company make it big. But today are the the biggest boygroup in the World....
They deserve it. I’ve read that they rehearse and practice for 12 hours or more a day. Their dedication is admirable!

I've honestly never seen anyone else do MV better than BTS. Currently they're at the top. The boys practice 10-15 hrs a day and they produce and compose most of their own work. Considering how high quality their MV's are, it's crazy that they came from a poor/small company - a lot of people were hating on them for being a 'dirt' group - so the song NOT TODAY is personal to them - it's a middle finger to all the haters. They're proper underdogs.
Also the reason why 7 guys can work so well together is because they're actually all friends irl and to this day all of them still live together.
This might be an unusual request but I highly suggest you watch how they filmed this MV - there were drones involved, wires, on location epicness and is was bloody cold when they were shooting.

Thander Lin lol there are plenty actually. They have the hype around them but they are certainly not ‘the best’ for the MV’s i mean they’re good but as much as plenty other groups/artists
I mean more in terms of symbolism running parallel with their lyrics and the consistency in which they execute it. But if we're talking just 'visuals' you're absolutely right, there are extraordinary music videos by other artists. We live in amazing times.
S I understand you with special effects and even dancing, but the concept and continuous storyline they have might beat a lot of idols.
Luscious Angel a lot of groups are doing these type of continuity too. They are good, the visuals are dope so does the song but y’all need to stop praising things that aren’t new or revolutionary. The video that stands out the most is BS&T, on this one I agree that it was really good and better than a lot of videos but the rest of their MV Is pretty basic with good imagery.
S LOL I'm not saying other groups don't, I'm talking about the storyline THEY have. That doesn't mean other groups don't have it, but stuff like this has happened from the beginning and more stories in the middle, they all tie together. That's what I mean. That's why they beat them because of their storyline compared to other storylines.

I really like that you not only listen to the music but also point out the choreography and cinematography! Thank you! I wish you lowered the volume of the MV though so that we can hear what you are saying AND make sure you sync the music with the video after pausing.
You also should watch the behind the sense/making of video of this MV to see how this was all done. It was all filmed on location and was done all live. None of it was green screen. Look for the making of video of "Not Today" with English Subs so you can understand what they are talking about. They weren't running away from the Ninjas they were running with them. The Ninjas were to represent their fandom the ARMY The ARMY was running along side them, fighting with them and protecting them. It was an homage to the love, dedication and respect BTS and their fans have for each other.
I feel like their reactions honestly represent ARMY when BTS MVS get dropped, just pumped as hell. It’s amazing 👏

There's a quote in this that says (it's in Korean obvs, but it translates to):"If you can't fly, run. If you can't run, walk. If you can't walk, crawl. Even if you have to crawl, gear up!" This is a quote they got from Dr. MLK Jr. I love BTS music, the songs are so inspiring in addition to being bangers.
I understand why you cut the video, but the reason everyone in the comments is crying about it is because with Big Hit music videos, you don't have to. They don't do copyright, they see reactions as promotion and like you to do them. You still have to be careful with live stage content though because that's usually owned by networks and not Big Hit.
They have a behind the scenes version of this mv, you can see how they filmed it!
Finally, I have some recommendations for you: a lot of BTS's old school content is very hip-hop, check out *Danger* , *Boy in Luv* and *We Are Bulletproof* , especially the dance practices!

I enjoy how you all appreciate the creative cam work and insane production values! Kpop groups train in dancing, singing and rapping for years and incredible choreography is normal for them. I'm not impressed by Western artists anymore, they just cannot compare to Kpop bands like BTS who are so far ahead of the curve in terms of producing, music, live performances etc.

🤔 Idk if y'all only gonna do energetic/ hyped BTS, but all their music is AMAZING (They get deep sometimes, on all levels). Probably would like "Boy Meets Evil". "Dope" & "GO GO" also... OH! Turn on the CC!! You'll definitely like them more. Rap Monster/ Rapmon/ RM & Suga/ Agust D have mixtapes that would interest you.
The music was so loud you couldn't hear what you were saying in your reaction. You might want to turn the music down next time and sit closer to your microphone so we can hear you better. Also if you think 7 people who dance in sync are impressive, you need to see the Kpop boy group called Seventeen. Seventeen has 13 members and they are considered a self-produced group because they have one member that writes and composes their songs and another member that comes up with all their choreography. I recommend their MV and dance practice to "Don't wanna Cry" You should do a reaction to their MV and their dance practice for the song back to back in the same video. Seven members is only average in Kpop. Seventeen has 13 members, Super Junior used to have 15 members and now has 13, EXO used to have 12 members and now has 9, Tiwice has 9 members, etc. BTS is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Kpop. There are so many groups, solo artists and duos you should check out.
