    I got this Transformer EBS in the other day along with the 606 air cleaner. I went with the 90 degree and routed the line up under the tank to the front of the frame attaching the catch can to the oil cooler hard line. I painted the spacers to match the heads. Having the raw aluminum Transformer in between the gloss black back plate and the spacers I painted gloss black. It just makes the whole system pop when you want to show it off to your friends. The 606 air cleaner system is awesome. The endless customizations with intake covers. Keep up the great work.

    Having the Transformer EBS and the 606 on my 2009 triglide for a few months now has gotten the attention of my older coworker with his 2016 "wet head" triglide he bought from copart salvage, we threw DKCustom parts all over it as I did mine he done the works on cooling mods , fast forward to the point I'm making about the EBS, we purchased a tune license for the mods installed from fuel moto and finally started the bike for the first time in 3 years , and did a cold start to water pump fan kick on tune session and I would bet over that 12 minutes of idle with love jug cooling fans on and watching the engine temp which never exceeded 240° around 2 Oz of something came out the hose which was just lying on the floor at this point and my Ole coworker looked at me and said " Damn that shit would have went right into my Throttle body and into my motor and I shook my head in silence as he sat smiling at the hose on the floor, thanks guys for another bike that will last a little longer while looking great with this setup 😀

    I got the transformer on my 2018 Ultra Limited the other day. I installed a 606 air cleaner on the transformer. It works fine. I checked the 6 screws on the back of the transformer before I installed it. 3 of the screws were loose. I took all the screws out and checked out the inside of the transformer. After checking it out, I used a little blue loctite and attached all 6 screws hand tight. One issue I did run into after installing the transformer was the engine warning light came on. I checked the codes and they were for the EMC front and back O2 sensors. I cleared the error codes and went for a ride. After about 30 minutes the engine light came on again. This time only for the rear O2 sensor. I cleared the code again. Road another hour and didn't have any issues. I'm guessing the EMC adjusted itself for the 606 high flow air cleaner. With the 606 air cleaner comes an attachment to use the original air cleaner cover. It makes the cover stick out an extra inch. It's noticeable and makes the ride a little uncomfortable. Not that I can't get use to it but I'm looking into getting another cover that would get rid of the attachment. Will the smooth chrome bobber cover fit over the 606? Does the smooth chrome bobber cover attached to the center hole in the air cleaner or do I have to use the attachment?

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  2 года назад

      Thank you for your comment. 👍
      I am very sorry three of the screws were loose. We will be changing our assembly process to include a double check on those 6 screws.
      Yes, the ECM was making adjustments for more air flow. Here are a couple of videos on the subject where we talk about how this works.
      ruclips.net/video/0vbTkRvFa80/видео.html
      ruclips.net/video/aWW-nt7-fzA/видео.html
      Regarding the cover. The only cover that needs that special HD attachment is the stock cover. You can use any of the other covers, including the smooth chrome bobber cover without that attachment, so it will not stick out nearly as far.

    I think people are asking if they can bolt the big sucker air filter and cover to this instead of using AN backplate. That’s what I was thinking I could do instead of buying your 606 backplate and EXB system but it looks like it’s smaller diameter than the base of my air filter for AN big sucker.

    • @DKCustomProducts

      You can use the 606 backplate with your filter element and cover, and the Transformer™ goes between the 606 backplate and the Carb or Throttle body.
      The Transformer™ is an EBS, it is not designed to have any filter go directly against it.

      The purpose & benefits of any External Breather System are outlined in this video- ruclips.net/video/EfDeFZblMck/видео.html
      The Transformer™ External Breather System gives all those benefits, plus the following:
      1. It is a much cleaner looking set up than the traditional EBS's
      2. It can be "transformed" to be EPA compliant, should a person want to do that, or should a person be compelled to do that by some local authority.

    Just changing the subject, in Australia we have about 65% of all our roads are dirt, gravel, when you get into the outback areas just about all roads are dirt, Is it possible to fit a Diff Locker to my Trike to help with steep inclines on dirt roads. All of our 4WD vehicles come with Diff Lockers as standard equipment.

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  2 года назад

      Interesting question. That would definitely be interesting to have a diff lock on the HD Trikes.
      Unfortunately we do not know if there is a way to do that. Never thought of it, nor heard of it. Does not mean it could not be done.
      If you do figure it out, please let us know.
      Also, if you figure it out, unlike on a 4WD vehicle where the downside to leaving it locked on a hard surface is a broken axle (bad) on the Trike it would greatly increase the possibility of tipping over (worse).

    • @motoring8407
      @motoring8407 2 года назад

      @@DKCustomProducts Yes, it can be done and I will do it. I will be doing lots of dirt roads on my trip around this huge island continent starting in about six weeks. Diff locks are common place here and are pretty easy to fit, just need the diff specs and a locker to match, should be easy. On our outback roads we have what we call bull dust, you cannot see it till its to late and it can be 6 inches deep or more and it is easy to roll your car, and that would be bad, i figure with a diff lock and a set of max trax I will be fine. I will let you know how I get on.

    The design is great for the purpose. Wouldn't those tiny passages restrict the ventilation of the crankcase causing loss of power?

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  2 года назад

      Thanks! 👍
      No, the passageways are larger than some of the passageways in the engine as the crankcase ventilation heads toward the outside. No restriction in the Transformer™ at all.

    • @andrewbecker3700
      @andrewbecker3700 2 года назад +1

      Was just wondering if not evacuating the crankcase causes any power loss? If the pistons have to push all that trapped air through those tiny galleys it might
      cause ring flutter at high rpms.

    • @andrewbecker3700
      @andrewbecker3700 2 года назад +1

      @@DKCustomProducts if the engine is sucking on the crankcase through a metered orifice it's understandable. Take away the PCV effect it creates, and now it's trying to vent through that same orifice without assistance. Personally I'd want some PCV action on a big inch Twin seeing high R's.

    • @DKCustomProducts

      @@andrewbecker3700 No, the circulating theory of needing vacuum from the intake for better ring seal is just that, a theory. No tests or evidence as been posted showing that to be true.
      The holes in the tubes in the intake (and subsequent passageways back to the crank case) are so small that the vacuum created in the intake takes the path of least resistance, pulling in thru the filter element.
      btw, I've seen a couple of videos of folks trying to measure that phantom vacuum thru the venting system. They were both honest in disclosing that they could not get any measurable reading.

      @@DKCustomProducts I decided to give the Transformer EBS a test fit on my 2019 Triglide with an HPI 62mm throttle body and intake with the Outlaw 587. Luckily for me it fits perfectly with zero issues in @1500 miles of riding! I don't see a way to post a picture here, but if you would like one let me know.

    I want to use the transformer but keep my classic S&S air cleaner cover, do I have any options? I have no problem changing my a/c and backing plate but I just want to continue to use my S&S cover!

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  Год назад

      Yes, you can use the 587 air cleaner with the Transformer, and your S&S Teardrop cover, will fit onto the 587 cover with you drilling and tapping that 587 cover to affix the S&S cover over it. We have quite a few Customers that have done that.
      You don't say what year and model bike you have, but here is a link to the Twin Cam 587.

    Is this available for different size throttle bodies or is it only for the standard size throttle body for the M8?

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  2 года назад

      It fits the standard size throttle body on the M8.
      Every test we have done, all the way up to a 131, shows that more torque is produced with the standard size rather than a larger.
      We have even dyno'd a couple of bikes with the larger throttle body, then put a standard size air cleaner on that larger throttle body, and it produced more power.

    Will this work on a 103 with a Kuryakin Hypercharger Pro air cleaner?

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  2 года назад

      Yes, the back is flat with no ears, so it will mount up to the Transformer™. You will Not need to use the support bracket that comes with the Hypercharger.

    I installed a Check m8 trans vent after a stage 2 upgrade (Cam, new oil pump) last year. I just installed your discrete EBS system with a filter....will this setup cause issues with loss of needed vacuum having both Check m8 and EBS? Thanks!

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  2 года назад +1

      Many of our Customers have the trans vent installed and are still getting oily, hot, oxygen depleted air venting into their intake, which is a power robber AND makes the engine run hotter. So they have installed an EBS also. The EBS eliminates all of the oil and oxygen depleted air with only good results.
      The recently circulating theory of needing vacuum from the intake for better ring seal is just that, a theory.
They were both honest in disclosing that they could not get any measurable reading.

    will a screaming eagle heavy breather work with your backplate?

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  2 года назад

      If you have a Heavy Breather like the one pictured in the link below, the Transformer™ takes the place of the piece in the lower left of the photo and then it will work.

      If you do not have a Heavy Breather yet, I would suggest looking at the 636v, it out performs the HB and has a similar look. Here is a link to where you can see them- www.dkcustomproducts.com/outlaw-hiflow-636v-air-cleaner-complete-systems-c125.htm

      @@gerrybubenzer5677 I am not seeing that Harley has any Heavy Breathers that fit a 2007 Dyna Twin Cam. I may be missing it.
      The 636v will work. www.dkcustomproducts.com/outlaw-hiflow-636v-air-cleaner-twin-cam-complete-system-dk-ac-636v-tc-cs.htm
      Or if you already have a Heavy Breather on your 07 Dyna, send a photo of it, or the part number to Support@DKCustomProducts.com and we'll let you know.

      The Transformer is not compatible with any OEM air cleaner on a M8.
