I agree with you, but if it was like that from the beginning the price could be 100+ dollars, so it's not entirely accurate yes part uses is probably not the best but at least it's at a good price
And now I have the desire to see a Titanfall mech moc. Just imagine a diorama where we have Quaritch’s AMP suit getting the snot beat out of it by BT-7274…
This upgrade clearly shows the level Lego is lacking in making movie accurate mechs. Lego could've done better. Btw excellent upgrades throughout. Big thumbs up sir.
I know that creating parts lists and instructions is a lot of work, but damn, I'd be happy to pay for them to be able to build something like this! New subscriber! Thanks for the inspiration!
Bro you're only saying cause you're looking at the bad sets only, what about the crystal king? The golden ultra dragon? Or the new samurai x mech? Dumb bozo
As someone who also loves building legos, i must commend you on your building style. You have such a unique building style, where i found myself many times throughout the video going "I would never have thought to do that with those pieces", and the final result is genuinely a master piece.
The things lego is capable of doing nowadays concerning accuracy, detail, and functionality compared to even just 10 years ago is really astounding. Definitely a product of their increased small parts catalogue, and also talented builders like you. I was blown away by this moc!
Man I swear no matter what mech it is that you're upgrading, it always comes out looking so much better and more accurate Oh my gosh it's even better minifig scaled than Lego too, better colors, better articulation, better accessories, just all around better. How frickin cool
Not sure if I agree with it being better scaled to the minifigs. Canonically the AMP suits are 4 meters tall while the na'vi are around 3 meters. A na'vi fig might reach the knee of this MOC, but in terms of shaping and colour this is a bit closer to the movie version.
I feel like there should have been an option for it to have a gun, like the other amp suits. The Giant knife is cool, and so is the giant chainsaw weapon, but a gun would have been an ideal mech suit weapon, if not slightly overdone.
1. Damn it's accurate! 2. When was there a flamethrower in the final battle? This dude's AMP suit had a belt fed machine gun. Also, I would have loved to see a clip on the shoulder for the knife, like in the movie. I may add that if I build this myself
You should put a piece list together (if you already haven’t) so people can buy all the parts from bricklink and then provide instructions to do it ourselves. Yours is infinitely better
I think, that lego made this suit so simple is, exactly for this. The entire time legos idea is, creativity. And what boost creativity more, than wanting to upgrade the factory produced stuff. They achieved their goal.
Mechs are my favorite build, specifically iron man variants, but that cockpit looks awesome. Always cool when creators make something better than the set was originally.
I absolutely love this for constructed realism and movie accuracy (This was much closer to scale and detail than the set). However I can understand why Lego doesn't do sets with this much detail very often, the part count alone, not to mention the part specializations would've made this set well over $100. Regardless, very well done, Congratulations and keep up the great work~
@@cass7448 It's not even close. It's about 2x as tall as it should be. In the movie humans are about as tall as the hip joints. You can see it in several scenes. In this moc a minifig wouldn't even come up to the knee of the suit. The Lego version is actually much closer to scale
@@josephkawamura5422 No idea what references you're using. Everything I can find (including images of the movie set prop) has humans being a little taller than its knees when it's in a standing position.
@@cass7448 most people's head come up to the connection between the two legs, which itself hangs a bit low. But that is not reflected in this moc. Minifigures don't even come up to the knees of this thing. You can easily see this if you use the photo of it at the end of the vid, just see how many figs you could stack to reach the top. My estimate is around 4-4.5 which would mean this is about 23+ feet to scale. The film version was just a bit over 13 feet.
Looks great, better than i expected from the thumbnail too. My only real complaint is the shoulders. I like that they’re raised higher than the original, but everything below the waist looks short and stubby in comparisson now. Having the shoulders be just one step lower might’ve looked a bit better, i think.
absolutely amazing! I can't imagine how much time went into this! As someone who is a massive fan of the amp suit, I love this, you truly are a master builder.
I wasn't planning on getting any of the avatar sets, but now im thinking about just ordering the pieces online and doing what you did cause thats amazing, and so much more movie accurate.
I would’ve really loved to see a revamp of the Thanator (the black dog creature that came with the set) because it just doesn’t look right or sit right with me at all.
I love this idea of upgrading these sets to a Master Builder design. Though I do wonder, can you take a set that is already a master build and make it even more accurate?
the thing I find interesting about this particluar figure is with the right configurartion of pieces and the correct color scheme, you could probably turn it into a WH40K Space Marine or something of a similar stature
Hey! Loved the video and just wanted to ask if it were possible for you to come up with an updated version of the Mako Submarine from the Avatar 2 Wave. Love the overall design of it, but those gaps on the front are really annoying. Otherwise have a good day
Looks fantastic. Certainly far more accurate than the official version. Some minor criticism: Comparing it to reference images, the canopy jumps out to me as being a bit small. It should more or less be flush with the silhouette of the mech body. Granted, there's a lot of difficult angles and limited parts that could fit; so it may be quite difficult to remedy that.
Awesome job! I plan on building one because of the new Avatar: The Way of Water. Could you possibly do a more color accurate gun like in the first movie?
This looks like what I would actually expect to see from Lego. At first I was excited when I saw that there was a new Lego Avatar series, but was then quickly disappointed when none of the sets really looked that interesting. None of the sets look very cool, and the colors are weird for some reason. Your version of the AMP suit looks so good! Exactly like the original! If this was an official Lego set, I would buy it ASAP.
First time viewer/ new sub here! I feel like your previous version of the suit is more to scale/ may work better for an actual ideas set (with some ob changes e.g thicker more stable arms (though less thick as this ver), aswell as grey colour,) and with the other build & figures I'd put this as a $60-70 set (though may be VERY Wrong here I ain't that knowlegable of Lego anymore). Now on to your new suit. First things first, great job with the build (and dam that chest/cocpit area)! The only issue I see is with the sholders/ poldrens. Other comments have said that they are to high up/ tall but I would say it's that the poldrens need to be at least a stud longer in length/ sidways, so to push the arms out more from the body as the sheer lengh of the arms (though part of the desight) just looks abit off/ it needs to look more burley. Either that or maybe try to make the poldrens larger. Also know its a good desighn but I feel that with the changes to the arms, the hands are now abit to small in comparison.
So badass. This is how Quaritch's AMP mech suit should've been from the start. Fantastic work!
I agree with you, but if it was like that from the beginning the price could be 100+ dollars, so it's not entirely accurate yes part uses is probably not the best but at least it's at a good price
@@sillyshark9000 I think if they sold a set with just the AMP suit and the Minifigs, it would have been about $50
Moc people are the real deal not the employees who make it small
it’s awesome no doubt and much better, the only benefit i’d give lego is that people care about scale and that the mech they built is to scale.
And now I have the desire to see a Titanfall mech moc. Just imagine a diorama where we have Quaritch’s AMP suit getting the snot beat out of it by BT-7274…
Same here haha
Yoo that would be amazing

Okay we definitely need a parts list now, this is too good to be a simple speed build video.
Hear hear, I agree I would gladly pay for it too
An absolutely DRASTIC improvement. As it should have always been.
