The Lyriq V will definitely make more horsepower than the Blazer ev double s . And it can't be close or Cadillac will be stuck with a bunch of em . GM is customary slow in production , which gives the competition a chance to make a lot of money before GM shows their hand . But I think that it's an intentional tardiness , to make sure that they reign undisputed . I am an owner of a 2024 Lyriq awd and while it doesn't accelerate as aggressively as my friends Teslas , we finish the quarter mile around the same time . And after the drag racing arguments , there's no argument on who looks better , inside and out . But back to the Lyriq V series , all this vehicle has to do is be faster than the competition , which is other evs like the Teslas and the Lucids and they silent killers as well , so the Lyriq will be good . Now if you like a lot of noise , buy a gas fueled vehicle and see if all that noise gets you to the finish line quicker . "Laissez les bon temps rouler" Cadillac , that's all I got , y'all have a good evening and I'm out 🎭
Yes. And despite of all the fake (?) outrage at performance EVs adding noise to add to the driving experience, I support the practice: all a driver has to do is turn it off if he or she doesn't like it. Period.
The Cadillac Lyriq-V is not just a car; it's a statement. With its sleek design, cutting-edge technology, and powerful performance, it embodies sophistication and ambition. It's the perfect choice for those who demand excellence in every aspect of their lives. Whether you're cruising through the city or embarking on a long journey, the Lyriq-V offers unparalleled luxury and a dynamic driving experience. Truly a vehicle for individuals who dare to be extraordinary.
If they're going to do the fake-exhaust note thing, I want mine programmed to sound like it's a Cadillac V-series.R leaving the pits. It would make stop-and-go traffic so much more fun.
Don’t forget that the ZDX which is very much like the Lyriq has “airbags” in the suspension already for the Type S I believe. So that seems like a no brainer to me.
Hopefully, there's a reason it took Cadillac so long to offer a V-Series version of the Lyriq, and like all other V-Series models, I'm assuming GM MagneRide suspension will be offered, ok, guessing time off max power output, I’m assuming at least 650 to 700 HP / 700 to 750 TQ, now, will the Lyriq V-Series get a Blackwing version as well is the question, also please improve the charging speed, it kind of reminds me of the 2nd gen CTS V-Series wagon
I can’t imagine they wouldn’t at least match the 595HP/645TQ of the Blazer EV SS. My guess is they want to hit that 600+ HP number. 🤞 Blazer EV SS was published at 294 miles est. range for a short period, then removed. My guess is they’re also trying to tweak both EV SS and LYRIQ-V to hit 300 miles minimum.
My guess that the Lyriq will have (at least) the horsepower and torque of the Vistiq (615/650), which allows the latter to go from 0-60 in 3.7 seconds. Since the V will likely be hundreds of pounds lighter, the acceleration is sure to be much greater!
STOP. New EV motors coming from China that are compact in size are over 500hp on on 800 volt architecture. Same spec vehicles in the coming years will cost LESS than 30k in China. Banning these cars from coming to the U.S is just prolonging the inevitable.

What's range with one charge 🤔

It'll be interesting if Cadillac decides to add Mag-Ride or an Air Ride suspension.
They just might add both, as well as rear-wheel steering!

I think you're on to something here! - Alex
i totally agree ........bring it! I own a 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Sport 3

Great point, but never forget the 6th gen Camaro ZL1 was more powerful than the CTS-V for its entire production run.

Would be cool if cadillac built a performance EV to compete with tesla
What is a Tesla ?😊
Any EV that doesn't look like an egg is already better than any Tesla...
I don't think they have Tesla in mind, since that company's larger vehicles are much less popular than they once were!
Now I know it isn’t a Cadillac, but can you do video on your thoughts on the updated 2025 Buick Lacrosse?
I t should have had an onboard generator or APU.
Could add a system like the Ionic 5N uses to add sound. They have a speaker under the hood
Well, the Hummer EVs already sound pretty cool when in Watts To Freedom mode... it's no ICE engine, but it's still a sound of its own.
How is the Lyric V being announced before the SS Blazer has even started production!?!?!
How dumb to say there is no exhaust note. Electric car duh - it's a new world, having trouble adapting ? Bwahahaha Get with the program guys :)

I heard 900 horse power
announcing a high performance car without ANY specs or details is such typical GM bs...
I don't know about that... they have us on the edge of our seats, waiting for specs and power figures... so is it BS, or is it good marketing? - Alex
