Jeremy Irons was, undoubtely, the perfect actor to give life to Scar. His british accent mixed with his acting skill putting sarcasm, mockery, arrogance and the right amount of poison into Scar's lines were amazing.

Yeah. His voice is almost similar to Grant Goodeve, the voice actor for Wolf O’Donnell, who is also an antagonist who plots overthrow power from Fox McCloud in the Star Fox franchise. 📺📺🦁🦁🦊🦊🐺🐺🔍🔍🚀🚀🪐🪐 Both Scar and Wolf O’Donnell almost have the same plot to gain power from that protagonist. 😨😨🙁🙁☹️☹️

Jeremy Irons will always be the legendary Disney icon as Scar, his character. ⭐️⭐️🏆🏆👑👑🦁🦁🌳🌳⛰️⛰️🌅🌅📺📺📼📼 The way he read his line , “I quiver with fear”, that was bone-chilling, but he definitely nailed it as his character well. Jeremy Irons 💯% matches Scar’s character perfectly. Well done, Jeremy Irons. James Earl Jones did fantastically marvelous with his role as the caring, fun-loving and wise Mufasa. James Earl Jones did an amazing job. 2 things, 1st scar is my favorite villian in an animated cartoon and I full heartedly believe he wouldn't have been if he wasn't voiced by Irons. 2nd it's crazy that longer haired Jeremy Irons somehow looks 10 maybe 15 years younger than short haired Jeremy Irons.

He does narrate a lot of Joubert documentaries, he did one too for lions - his voice is just amazing, documentary or animated movie, doesn't matter, I can listen him for hours :D Also the Joubert documentaries are sooooo amazing, giving a proper story for the animals they are documenting, pairing that with Irons classical acting and voice is just perfection.

Jeremy irons a true legend He voiced one of the most iconic villains of all time. His voice is just so amazing. I can literally listen to Jeremy talk for hours and I don't get bored at all literally he can teach me that deep English accent That's for sure.

As someone who loves Tim Curry, dropping out of this role (and the Joker from “Batman: TAS” for that matter) is one of the best decisions he has made in his career. We got the right voices out of the bargain.

Did he have laryngitis that day and couldn’t finish the song? I keep hearing this story over and over again. Maybe there was a deadline and they couldn’t give him a month to recover so he could do the whole song over again.
Jeremy Irons sang the first two-thirds of the song but was having trouble with his throat and couldn't sing the rest. So Jim Cummings did it. That's the story.

Honestly, I love Wagner Moura as Death in Puss and Boots, but when he says “I love the smell of fear” I always think to Jeremy Irons voice performance as Scar when he says “I quiver with fear” since the guttural growl he adds to the line is so perfect. If Moura did that play Death I think Jeremy Irons would have been a great candidate.
