Would have preferred an actual comparison, not advertisements. Also I like to know county of origin. I'm desperately trying to locate some of these that are NOT made in China, preferably in the US.

i have one of those radios (1Tac, but from other brand), works great on FM, has decent dynamo and light is good too. Mine has AM too, but for that, built in antenna is just to weak to find any away station (150 miles+). also, the way radio works, its quite easy to turn it on (on/off switch on rotary wheel for volume) and discharge it before you notice its on. not bad at all, but has some flaws.
That will be useful.

That tac1 would be perfect if our also gave you the option to use another input for charging as inbuilt can break. And also needs a headphone jack.
It comes under so many different names but is solid. I've got 2.
I have one with line in aux in, sd card, headphone jack, noaa, 2 usb ports, stereo speakers,, lamp, flashlight, sound, etc Bluetooth for under $40

@@UNPACKed. try This radio is known as Runningsnail 500 (yellow), Top Alert md093wb (red), Wayl Buzz4000 (green), Greecious Hurricane (blue), Pathway North (orange) and many other names ..I have a green one in one of 5 other names it's good...although yours seems to be older 2017 non sd card model, and new 2022 version is Bluetooth and digital but names I said above are perfect 2019 models. It has solar crank AAA battery plus lithium USB charge sd card music USB music aux for line in out it's stereo noaa sw fm am etc it's a beast only $33 but goes by 5 names
I need advice about radios:
In Los Angeles, after an earthquake, how will we get info? We don’t rely on the weather band for that, am I right? PLEASE NEED HELP WITH THAT BECAUSE I DON’T KNOW IF I SHOULD BUY AN EMERGENCY RADIO (NOAA) OR A REGULAR ONE for emergencies in Southern CA
In SoCal we are notified on WB for earthquakes and fires as well. An extra $5 for NOAA is not that big of a deal... skip a Big Mac and get peace of mind.
Better to have something you don't need that in light of emergency do not cost a lot of money. then too need something u don't have.
No mention of an at-home version that will automatically come on no matter what when there's an emergency weather alert. Not looking for a survival, camping radio.

hi all, I have a quick question re: any kind style of these radio's. I have always purchased radio's with an actual dial which I can manually move simply because I think that a digital readout is one more thing to go wrong on a radio....so my question. If the digital readout goes out...will the radio still change channels even if I can't see the channel it's on? to say that another way. If I can't read the digital readout, due to a radio malfunction, will the radio still pick up radio stations and can I change stations? make sense?

Can you put 6 rechargeable battery's and will it recharge those battery's ?
This video is not useful. It's just 5 advertisements. There is no review of the products. Many fall short of what they advertise.
All these are bad choices. These so - called emergency radios are nothing but silly toys. With the
ridiculous cranks, solar cells, sirens and lights all of which are
almost useless . With all the junk they put in them theres no room for a
good size set of batteries like D-cells which gives you hundreds of
hours of operation instead of multiple ineffective options. The cranks
break off and dont give you any real recharge time (your going to crank
while driving or boarding up your house??) The solar cells wont run the
radio and take hours to recharge tiny batteries. The multiple power
options (a selling gimac) are what make these radios almost worthless.
If they didnt do that you could fit 3 D-cells which will power a radio
with no digital displays for 250 hours. You also dont want digital
displays or flashlights draining your small batteries even when the
radio is off. You want a slide rule dial AM,FM, WB , 3 D cells, slide
rule dial, big speaker , detachable ac cord and long telescoping antenna
(the fad junkers have short ones) The Kaito KA-390 , Retekess TR-640
and Prunus J-05 are far better for emergency use than these junky fad
so-called emergency radios. There just a bunch of useless features to
make you think "YOUR PREPARED" It like a swiss army knife with a bunch
of useless blades.
