My headcanon is that the Doctor's lived too long to keep track of his own memories; he mostly remembers highlights (usually the TV show, hence why that's called back to more than any EU stuff) and everything else is much more distant and confused.
I always wanted to see the extended Eight regeneration with all companions mentioned, it's as funny as I imagined it.

Also you could say regenerations often short term breaking in memory of the doctor sometimes permanently wipes there memory of less important people.

My favourite example of the Doctor straight forgetting a companion: in the legendarily amazing Eighth Doctor book Mad Dogs and Englishmen, Fitz remembers an early experience of his while travelling with the Doctor, that being finding a hundreds-of-years-old woman in the TARDIS library. When he understandably asked the Doctor to elaborate, he just exclaimed, "Emily?!" And that's all we hear of it. What the fuck Paul Magrs

The events of Breaking Bad take place between September 7th 2008 and September 7th 2010.
Since it is connected to Doctor Who through canonical crossovers, this implies there is an alternate timeline version of Breaking Bad that takes place in The Year that Never Was (2008-2009).
It could be assumed that Walter White began his meth empire earlier than in the main timeline, due to his dire financial situation in the aftermath of the Toclafane attack.
Season 4 of Breaking Bad would have originally been affected by the events of The Stolen Earth and Journey’s End. This version of Breaking Bad being retconned by the cracks in time.
The End of Time also takes place at some point during the events of Gliding Over All. So everyone turned into The Master at some point while planning to kill off Gus’ henchmen. As far as I know, this part is still canon to our version of Breaking Bad.
Edit: Thankfully, nothing in Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, or El Camino is affected by Miracle Day. Those guys got off lucky.
Edit 2: Expanding on The Year That Never Was Timeline, the DEA likely shut down in response to The Master taking control of the Earth. I also believe Gus Fring would start operating in the open, leveraging his criminal empire to keep Albuquerque as Toclafane-free as possible.

So where can I find the crossovers?
And are they really considered 'canon' (so to speak) by the likes of the BBC and fandom at large?
Or is it simply a little joke such as the time in 'Red Dwarf' where the TARDIS was found in the Hanger Bay?
I'm curious, just like the Doctor's last Incarnation always was, as for me 13 was never simply the 'V-Doctor' but rather the 'Curious Doctor' as I always saw her.
      Happy Times and Places

    • @swootgrommet5921
      @swootgrommet5921 Год назад +1

@@christopherlockery9629 I was talking about hypothetical crossover events. The idea being that there isn’t anything in Doctor Who that would contradict the events of Breaking Bad. Any world-changing events were either retconned Doctor Who itself, or could have happened off-screen as far as Breaking Bad is concerned.
The main canon of Breaking Bad could exist within the current Doctor Who canon. The alternate timelines introduced by the later would carry over to the former. There’s not much you can point to within Doctor Who, that’s glaringly absent in Breaking Bad.

Its not broke, it is simply stuff happening in different timelines/whoniversis.
Think of it as 10th said in Waters of Mars; events for each new whoniverse remains the same , the details may change but never its final outcome. (The final outcome (for each whoniverse) is always the Doctors birth inside the previous whobiverse.
Just like Ace birth in Curse of the Fenric.
      Caused by futurepast events
Same goes for our Doctor as his mother (the most ordinary woman on Earth) got taken over into the previous whoniverse just before the classic whoniverse ended in episode Doomsday where she the got pregnant with a child that had a father from that whoniverse Earth (a multiversal hybrid child)
That Earth was later stolen away from that previous whoniverse and taken into the classic whoniverse where that Earth became Mondas; that mankind as it fell to the Cybermen was saved by the then nevly completed first TARDIS and a female Rassilon whom by then already was that mankinds leader.
Rassilon and the very first TARDIS took that mankind to Gallifrey where they became the ppl on Gallifrey.
(The dark times of the Timelords)
We know the above because we have during newwho been seeing its eqvialavent(same) happen to our Earth get stolen and taken into a new whoniverse where our Earth falls to the Daleks and a new replacement timemachine have been built by our (now former) Doctor as he trained his replacement to take over being the new whoniverse Doctor.
Same events, different details same outcome (birth of the new doctor in the previous whoniverse. while our Doctor becomes what Rassilon used to be for his mankind (the Timelords/Mondasians)
      CAL/Clara are the new Doctor.
      Tony Tyler our Doctor
same event (with the cars) made both thier births happen....

13:29 I mean Let's Kill Hitler fucks River's timeline anyway.
Before Mels regenerated, she says _"Last time I did this, I ended up a toddler. In the middle of New York."_ in reference to the end of Day of the Moon. Which is such a stupid inclusion. This was 1969, remember. Mels took 20 years to find Amy and Rory when they were born (1989), yet didn't age at all. If Steven didn't include the line, we could just assume that the Little Girl regenerated into someone, aged 20 years, then regenerated again around the time she found Amy snd Rory, becoming young again. We know the twist means the Little Girl is Mels, Steven didn't have to crowbar in a canon-breaking line to make that apparent.
Impressively, this is only one of two plot holes in River's timeline (in terms of River as a character - not necessarily the stories she's in). The second being her wearing a Vortex Manipulator in The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon, when she only got it a few adventures along in The Pandorica Opens.

Well we know they use a perception filter to set themselves up as surrogate children in host families, we know they have powerful reality warping abilities and we know for a fact that they can specifically create bigger on the inside spaces out of regular objects and put people inside them so what if Tommy Westfall is in fact a Tenza and he didn't imagine St Elsewhere but instead his parents decided to give him a pretty snow globe they thought he might like for Christmas but he accidentally used his powers to put the people in the hospital the globe was modelled after inside his snow globe and he then became obsessed with 'the people in the globe' which his parents naturally assumed were imaginary but were in fact real people who had naturally interacted with other real people hence the connections?

The crossovers have to be crossing some dimensional barrier so that many of these shows can take place in their own realities. Like for example Walking Dead contradicts the reality of Breaking Bad by ending the world at that same time, or how in Doctor Who we had a President Snow before Obama instead of Bush.

    • @plantainsame2049

Bush probably still exists. Snow was the president in one of those nexus times like wherever kate stewart and The Brigadier live at any given time

I repeat. We have been seeing more then one whoniverse timeline this entire run of NuWho. (3 main ones)
The classic Whoniverse & the ones before & after (the "lost"/previous one (where Rose & Jackie ended up in Doomsday) & (the new one (Big Bang) to where Gallifrey 50th/Twice upon a time) AND!!! our (classic whoniverse) Earth (Journeys End) was taken over to.
This above is correct and is 100 % demonstratable with sources in the show.
Heck even the intros since the 9th is linning up with the above (Easiest seen in the Peter Capaldi/Jenna Coleman intros.
We have had 3 different doctors for 1 each for each Whoniverse.
    Rassilon (Female) the lost/previous Whoniverse.
Toni Tyler (our Doctor) the Classic Whoniverse.
    &
Clara Oswald the new Whoniverse Doctor that unknowingly accepted to become the Doctor on Akhaten (it all is in the song; during the deamonstar speech hidden in plain sight.) (They sing to Clara; live, wake up let the cloak of life (the role of being the Doctor) cling to your bones...
There is so much more that obvious ones one know what to look for (even the crazy ramblings make sense)
Example just before spoon fight listen to what PC says about (neither in this or the next whoniverse)
Same with serial Battlefield where we might have seen the real end of Tim Shaw , where we where told the future for our Doctor living in an another Dimension...
or Ghostlight last episode last few scenes where we basicly where told our half human on his mothers side was not born in our (classic whoniverse) aka the hybrid child with parents from two different Whoniversis Toni Tyler....(same with the Master having DNA from more then 1 Whoniverse thru Rose Marion/Romanalunda Tyler and Metacrysis Donna/Doctor child (the Master)
Yes that Earth in the lost Whoniverse had the same fate the classic Whoniversr had.
It was also taken over into the next whoniverse where it withtime becamd (Mondas) & our classic Earth inside the new Whoniverse will become New Skaro as it will fall to the Dalek/Weeping Angel coordinated attack (Daleks being unknowing puppets to the Weeping Angels (former Timelords outside the Gallifreyan high counsil; not to be confused with the Weeping angels of old (Ragnarookians; Rassilons original ppl) that mabipulated all the Timelords enemies to take down them down.
(the real enemies in the Timelord-Dalek timewar)
    So much more.
All because Amy had 2 different lived in her head at same time (Series 6 Goodnight)
That made it posdible to figure out Doctor Who...
Think Clara in Journey into the TARDIS rememering a day that wasnt due to high short exposure to the timevortex.
Same with Madame Pompadore but slow for a lifetime due to the timewindows/timevortex
Same with the widow in The widow/wardrobe sode
Same with Lady Penforte in Silver Nemesis (Short/high)
    AND!
    Amelia Pond (Classic Whoniverse)
Amy Pond later Williams (New Whoniverse)
    Because!
of the timevortex behind/in the crack in her wall
Thats why the 11th left her twice in Eleventh hour (jumped between whoniversis)
=Both Amy/Amelia remebered both thier lives
Including Rory that never existed in the classic whoniverse untill the Doctors enemies kidnapped Amelia (classic) and got both lives memories bringing him into the classic Whoniverse.
= in end of Eleventh hour came to save Amelia from realising the man she was about to marry the next day never existed.
BECAUSE and this is the real biggie
    The child of the TARDIS
that became the new working 1st timemachine for the new Whoniverse rulers over time (us (from after our Earth falls to the Daleks and it becomes New Skaro) just as Rassilon (female) saved the mankind on Mondas as it fell to the Cybermen with the then new first TARDIS (later "heaven" (where all our souls/minds where saved 2) and known to us as "The Matrix" (the place the regens/saves comes from) (Downloaded into the basestations that became the Timelords (those that had Rassilons DNA in them at the fall of Mondas) (there was a 2nd save of everyone from 100.000BCE to 100.000AD.

@@brendandowse Well its not that hard.
Every time something wedding related have been in the show 2-5 the TARDIS jumped between the new and classic Whoniverse.
Donna Noble as a bride = the classic Whoniverse had its doomsday outside the TARDIS and the new Whoniverse formed around the TARDIS = Donna was drawn to the TARDSI like ironfillings to amgnet...
      Same with the other times
like 10 times until and with the Willams wedding in total (most from Donna Nobles wedding in end of time pt 2 and series 5)
Its right there in the show to spot.
Wedding, Wedding, Wedding dress, Engagement ring like 6 times, Wedding...
10th to Rose: last crack in the whoniverse is about to close (aka the Big Bang that is about to replace the classic whoniverse)
Had to go see Rose one last time (bk in the classic Whoniverse)
Sync the 2 diffrent Amelia/Amys memories and saving Amelia from marrying a man that never existed (2 jumps Eleventh hour)
etc etc thru out series 5 with the engagement ring..
      And lastly the wedding...
All summed up in series 6 minisode Goodnight...

Honestly, a wwe doctor who crossover could work, especially with the weird and unexplained supernatural and sci fi parts of WWE and expanded wrestling canon,
I mean if I had a nickel for every wrestler cannon to wwe who was an extra terrestrial warrior who came to earth to fight wrestlers and test there strength, I'd have at least 3 nickels, and the thing is, one of them straight up has conquered solar systems and another is a fifth dimensional being, and there Both jobbers and weak compared to people like John Cena in lore
I swear you could do a broken canon on wrestling and it be just as off the wall and insane

This is faulty logic. If a character appears in a Doctor Who story, that only means that character (and I guess anything else they mention) is canon in Doctor Who, not the entire universe of that character's show.
