I have also made English subtitles for the documentary about her husband Frederik, and for fans of Mary, she is also in that documentary.

Thank you for everything, you made an amazing job. Thank you.
Thank you so so much, really appreciate you that. Tak.
Happy birthday to our crown princess of Denmark Mary many many birthdays to come god bless and god be with you where ever you are with your family also we love you
Thank you
She reminds me of Carrie Fisher a little, especially when she was younger.
Crown Princess Mary is every thing a Crown Princess should be, beautiful humble talented, easy to talk with. Denmark is very, very lucky to have Mary.
as is Fred to have her as his wife
indeed @Patricia This extremely well-educated, career woman was warmly welcomed and appreciated too. She and the wonderfully kind and generous Royal Family she married into are a perfect fit.
Yes we are, and vice versa. Much of her becoming a princess is, apart from her own wonderful traits, the amazing people working with the Royal Family and the wonderful country that Denmark is. A serious amount of invested resources and experts are made available to develop a civil individual into a royal. For ex. being humble is one of the main segments she would have been instructed in (very much part of our culture). We owe the people behind it all recognition for that as well, not least of all our Royal Family. Mary had the right attitude and discipline to carry this role, and yes, we were really lucky that she was a great match in that regard. She too was incredibly lucky to become the Crown Princess of Denmark and receive all that has been bestowed upon her, in particular much love and support. She is grateful and we are enternally grateful for her as well.
Who made the law that everything a princess should be is beautiful, humble and talented? You need to turn off the Disney Chanel and let people, royal or not, be who they are.
Is that Danish?
To Australiens: the journalist speaks to Mary in a form of Old danish were you adress royalties in a very respectful way, and Mary does the same to the journalist. . Its amazing how she not only mastered our language but also have a vocabulary larger than 70% of the country.
Det kunne mange, især danske skuespillere ( feks Mads Mikkelsen) lære rigtig meget af 👍
As an Australian who doesn’t know the Danish 🇩🇰 language, it’s great to know. Thanks for the note.
is old danish the same as the old Japanese that hirohito used during their world war ii surrender that commoners had a hard time understanding?
That´s right and as foreign (Polish-Danish), who lived in Dk years - that takes some decades and a lot of speaking danish, which she of course is guaranteed to, but anyhow very good skills, she understands the language
@@DigitalMangoShake No, short answer. You can say it sounds much more polite/official, can compare it to american english from the 1920 and now, where you say sir and madam, have other "nicer" swear words, so on. You can understand it all, there are maybe some words that are dying out from the "back then" vocabulary but mostly same
This woman is now the Queen of Denmark. So absolutely worthy. No high drama. So grounded. Denmark is a light to the world. And Mary is Queen.
She is just your common old tart, she owned a pornographic shop before her duty, nothing special about Mary.
this is how a royal should be. She acknowledges a privileged life but she worked hard to fulfull her responsibilities. While we all praise future queen Mary excelling at her new country, we must remember all this was possible because her husband is also a genuine 'prince charming' :) I keep tearing up when I watched how he almost cried at his wedding, and also when Mary gave that speech after many years together. What a lucky couple to have found each other
The difference and it is so obvious, she was a hard working busy career woman for years before marrying. This births a confidence in oneself that helped so much in stepping into such an important role marrying Frederick. She has such a youthfulness about her and it helps that the RF she married into very warm and loving.
Crown Princess Mary of Denmark is a prime example of how you properly join a royal family. She left her homeland and moved to Denmark. Then she learned the Danish language. She even went to the Crown Prince and he showed her how to curtsy. I enjoyed watching this interview and learning about their love story. Princess Mary is so humble and an asset to Denmark.
There is no other Princess that can touch her, and lots of Brits adore her!
She was literally forced to give up her Australian passport - which as a practicality you can’t have a Crown Princess giving birth to the next in line to the throne, only for her to run off back to Australia with him and refuse to com back- but it also shows a massive commitment in saying this is where my future is now and forever even if this marriage goes south
Absolutely an asset, best immigrant ever
I love how she said that they "started a conversation and it never stopped".
And that is how it is done!! A very respectful journalist - it was calming to watch this documentary - and quite moving at times. Watching Mary’s face as she tried to keep her emotions in check, while watching the choir at the end, showed just what a gift it was for her and how loved she is in her adopted country. I had tears running down my face. As an Australian, I sat proudly watching the transition from an Aussie girl to a Danish princess done with grace and dignity. Thank you for sharing this with us. 😘💕🤴👸🏻🇦🇺
As a Dane, I can tell you that Mary is not just a very well loved Crown Princess, but that she will be a most loved Queen! I remember being 9 years old, and having a 'Princess Sleepover' with my choir, watching the wedding live on TV, and seeing the absolute adoration on the Crown Prince's face, as he had to take several very deep breaths to keep the tears of happiness in check, and Mary's seemingly effortless ease in the moment as she became our Crown Princess, it was an absolute fairytale! Rewatching it now, I still see the fairytale, even as I see that she was nervous and probably a little overwhelmed. She just always had that elegance and dignity of a Princess, and along with her grounded and genuine personality, she's brought a down-to-earth humanity into our Royal Family. It is my sincere opinion that she is proof that you don't have to be born royalty to be such an extraordinary person, and that born royalty are also people like the rest of us. Her natural Princess talent, has allowed our Crown Prince to shed some of the official façade in favour of just being a person, and they balance each other so beautifully. She and her family are brilliant role models and representatives for our country. Denmark is very, very proud of our Crown Prince and Princess and their family 😊👑🦘🦢
Indeed! Thank you for sharing. What a great and galant journalist. You can see the Danish spirit oozing through his mannerisms. No doubt the Danes come out as happiest people!
i go to her highschool!
She is not only appreciative, but also humble, but also has a kind countenance, which one doesn't see in many royals. And I say this as an ardent anti monarchist who deplores monarchs as parasites and without real jobs living off the taxpayer.
What do these world leaders stand for? What do they do to contribute to society? We have more plagues today than ever before.
I JUST WANT TO THANK everyone who provides English subtitles for the rest of us.
I APPRECIATE you all so very much! 😁
Sui, Just one lovely person did that for us.
This interviewer was just the right person for the job. He brought out the person, allowing her to answer in her own time, with her deep feelings, rather than pushing her for a quick and memorized response so often seen in celebrity interviews. It is like a conversation between equals, an honest and heart-warming conversation we are allowed to eavesdrop on. So glad this documentary exists. Thank you to both participants!
Our Mary is NOT a celebrity in any way or form. She is our future Queen and treated with kindness and respect, because she treats her people, her country, her husband and her family with kindness and respect! You get in return, what you yourself give!
The journalist is one of the finest we have at the moment. He was at tv2 for many years as a news anchor and is now working at DR1
How precious is this interview. A man of the media who understands perfectly his profession and in so doing is able to give honour and respect to a woman who has graciously accepted the hand in marriage of a man she loves and who inadvertently will be KING OF DENMARK one day.
What a beautiful lady to have as your future QUEEN, DENMARK.
THIS IS A MARRIAGE MADE IN HEAVEN AND THESE 2 HAVE HUMBLY ACCEPTED THE ROLES PRESENTED TO THEM.
I see a great deal of likeness between Crown Princess MARY OF DENMARK & CROWN PRINCESS CATHERINE OF ENGLAND, IRELAND, SCOTLAND,WALES, and the C'WEALTH COUNTRIES.
MARY is a shining example for any young lady to emulate , if ever invited to join a Royal Family , whether in the land of her birth or an even greater challenge, in a country of foreign language even in another part of the world !!!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏
To think a similar , yet far less demanding, offer was made to an even older woman, and yet she was unable to uphold her promises , or her commitments for 2years or less.
The beautiful duo of MARY with Frederick and CATHERINE with William are such beacons of what hope and love can accomplish for women of today.
EMULATE MARY & CATHERINE and let the other one be dismissed into the decline of the infamous annals of history.
BRAVO 👏🇦🇺🤗💞🙏MARY 👏🇩🇰

The Danish language is not the easiest to learn but CP Mary has made it look easy. Her persona is one of graceful peace. She was very moved by the girls singing so beautifully. It is my wish that she and her family grow together as a strong
unit, blessed with peace, love, and joy.
Is the Danish language Latin based like Italian, Spanish or French??
@@lindagusch2671 danish is from the north Germanic / Nordic language family (English, German & Dutch are from the west Germanic language family)- while French / Italian / Spanish (and Portuguese and Romanian) are from the Romance languages family - Germanic languages came from proto Germanic while Romance languages came from Vulgar Latin
@@lindagusch2671 Having studied Latin and French I would say no.
👍🙂
So did her sister in law, the French princess Marie
Crown Princess Mary stands at the pinnacle of how to assimilate oneself into a Royal Family. She embraced her new position, new country, new language and works hard to become a beautiful Danish ambassador in every job she does. What a fine example of how to do it right. God bless her, CP Frederik and all the Danish people. Australia should be proud of their native daughter. Thank you so much for the English subtitles!
We sure are! 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
MM should take a lesson...
But what is it about Danish journalists who treat her or the whole family with respect, or is it just more strictly regimented compared to the British press who act like a bunch of rude seagulls after a chip!!!!
@@kathybutterfield2760 MM was not treated with dignity and respect by the British press as how the Danish press and the people of Denmark behaved towards Mary. That’s the difference. Mary is a hard worker just like MM but petty jealousies in the House of Windsor and the invisible contract with the British press destroyed what could have been a happy and productive time for all concerned.
@@jennyc5132 It really is very simple: The royals have our back and we have their back, and as long as that is the case, Denmark is a kingdom. Actually, during the German occupation, we - and the Norwegians - saw how important a king/queen can be. I mean: The King did not have to order anyone to risk his own neck, to save the jews or save underground fighters with Gestapo at their heels. People just knew, that this was what he wanted. And got on with it. So the respect also comes from the fact, that the family has not really effed up. The most recent scandal I can think of, is that one of the princes drank alcohol at his boarding school, when he was 17. The horror. The horror.
As an Australian, I am sooo proud of Crowned Princess Mary and future Queen of Denmark. What an amazing fairytale with her husband 😍😍
Thank you Australia for giving us this beautiful soul as our Queen.
As a person of Scandinavian decent I could cry he married an Australian. A national embarrassment. 😮 At least her parents are Scottish. Might help.
As a dane, i can say that we are very proud of Queen Mary and she is deeply loved here ☺️❤️
@@lucylovic Such an embarrassing comment, I could cry.

I respect this man! He was in tears at his wedding day! God bless him, all his loved ones and his country!
We call him "Tudeprinsen" - Prince Weeping.
But we do it with lots of love and tons of respect: He is so fåking macho: he can weep from emotions 😎
He is a really tough cookie: he's a Frogman (specialized navy) and he crossed the Inland Ice on a dog sledge with The Sirius Patrol. It doesn't get cooler 😆
I admire his achievements. No wimp! It is clear he loves Mary deeply.
Handsome too! ❤
Such an incredible interview. Denmark is lucky with such a beautiful, caring, down-to-earth and intelligent Crown Princess /Ambassador. A huge thank you to the journalist who interviewed her. Thoughtful professionalism. The gift, an uplifting tearjerker. Such a difference when a choir takes the time to dress uniformly and beautifully. My best to Princess Mary in her 50th year and to her family.
People don't get lucky, they get blessed 😊
That was absolutely beautiful. As an Australian, that was wonderful to watch. Her honest emotion, dedication, hard work and love is there for all to see. What an extraordinary life of heart, discipline and fulfilled intention. Thank you so much for the subtitles.
So now mary and her twins are in australia hòw sad it hurts
As a dane, i totally agree, we are SO happy she is here
If only Prince Harry,Duke of Sussex had found someone of the calibre of Crown Priness Mary of Denmark.
She’s incredible popular, she’s doing an immense work and not a single scandal. Also Danish with an Australian accent is really charming 😁
- But yea, I’m really satisfied with our Royal family.
yeah, when the cameras role, the acting begins. Great P.R.
I wasn’t going to watch but decided to, this is a beautifully put together interview, the interviewer was consistently polite, gave time for Mary to reflect on events by looking at footage, nor did he ask awkward questions. It must have been very emotional for her and I thought reflected in the tears in her eyes as the choir sang. I am happy I decided to watch.
Thank you, we are very proud of our journalists as well and try hard not to follow the ensuing global trends of attack journalism and sensationalism.
Our Queen said it best at the wedding - May we always be worthy of her trust.
Now I really liked Australia even before I saw Priscilla (which of cause made me like AU more ;-), but it has grown immensely in the time Mary have been here
What a gracious woman. She is born to be a queen. Denmark is safe with this humble Crown Princess.
This humble woman also very strong and intelligent. Courageous and obviously a very confident man is Frederick to have chosen such a confident woman too. He did not want a mannequin
Thank you very much for the English subtitles! This was a really lovely program, very intimate but respectful. CP Mary has grown into her role beautifully. She comes across as humble and grateful for her life in Denmark. And how wonderful to see a woman publicly celebrated at age 50!
Well her Mother in law is even older and celebrated =D
PRINCESS MARY is indeed an extraordinary person.
We'll celebrate her when she 90.... as long as she keeps up her good work.
And we'll settle for good, as we can't expect her to keep up such excellency to the end.
For now we celebrate her just a little bit less than the queen 😉
I'll tell you something about the respect we have for our queen:
When Covid hit us and lock downs becam neccessay, the queen gave a televised speach to the people. That ONLY happens at New Years Eve. Perhaps she would in case of war? I'm happily ignorant of that.
So jounalists goes out and ask or reaktions to the queen going on tv like that.
A young tough looking lad was asked: Does it matter to YOU the queen spoke to us? Will it have any affect on how you'll go about the rules?
His answer? "OF COUSE it does! Man, she's like The Force from Star Wars. She transcends age, gender, politics - EVERY THING!"
As a 58 years old convinced socialist I couldn't have said it better my self! She's like The Force 🤣🤣🤣
That's what awaits Mary 🥰🥰🥰
She is a great person! She is a great mother, a great wife, a great princess! Congratulations! The interview was a very good one. The journalist made a great job and she was wonderful!
Such a remarkable lady. How she moves from Australia to Denmark and starts everything new including learning the language is beyond me.
I'd say as somebody who moved to Denmark at the age of 23, it's not so much the move or the language (both are challenges in their own right), but the challenge of becoming part of a Royal family that I take my hat off to. The Danes didn't accept her unconditionally (it seems like that, because Mary took on her role with an air of effortlessness), but she lives up to the expectations of the people. Not all new (or even old) members of the Danish RF have been accepted so easily! Crown Prince Frederik was so lucky to fall in love with a woman who is perfect for the job, and one who reciprocated his feelings.
@@danishpastry6137 Yes. Queen Louise, wife of King Frederick VIII, was treated badly by much of her husband's family, especially by her nasty mother in law, the previous Queen Louise. Louise was not pretty and was awkward because of her height, towering over everyone, including many of the men. She had also been allowed to run wild as a child without much structure and discipline, which she had to learn as a young married woman and mother. Her husband's family never let her forget that she was "different" and an "ugly duckling." Many even called her Swan/Aunt Swan. I have always felt bad for her.
I believe that when Mary first moved from Australia, that she had no job, so was able to have Danish lessons every day for a couple of hours. It obviously assisted a great deal. I’ve heard her laugh and say her children gently make fun of her Australian accent speaking Danish.
Very decent people
Thank you Mary for representing Australia with the greatest of honours. Thank you Denmark (including the Monarchy) for warmly embracing our Ambassador. Thank you to the interviewer for one of the most professional interviews I have ever watched, Thank you for the subtitles allowing us to enjoy the interview, and finally … Thank you Frederik for gracing our shores at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
Well said Katerina! I agree and am grateful too. Great journalism.
Exceptional interviewer. Thank you
I live in the USA and I love HRH Crown Princess Mary. You can tell she’s a very loving person and she will make an amazing Queen consort. Denmark is very lucky to have her in their royal family.
not Queen Consort
The Crown Princess will be Queen, within 10 days, now
Many royals around the world (especially in England) could take a masterclass from how to behave as a proper princess or even queen from Mary. She is both completely regal and yet completely natural at the same time. This is a true and innate gift. An act of grace which can’t really be taught. One can be born royal but not necessarily carry the qualities of majesty. Yet Mary possesses the key qualities of true majesty which are humility, courage, wisdom, grace and compassion.
We have Catherine, Princess of Wales, thank you. 😊
@@kathleenmcevoy-eb7qp Catherine is also not born royal.; the same as Mary. 😊❤Glad to note both William and Fredrick of Denmark married women with brains as well as beauty.
The ending was a moment of such exquisite grace and emotion. What a lovely, decent, kind and very beautiful person. She will be a wonderful Queen
I like the way her husband listen to her speech. You can really see his love for her.
I watched this for a number of times. From the beginning, Princess Mary is adorable and Prince Frederick is an extraordinary monarch solicitous with his wife. This is why their teamwork is impressive to the advantage of the Danish people. I have also a great admiration for Queen Margrete and the late Prince Henrik, illustrious monarchs of Europe.
Such a respectful journalist, the way it should be done. She is everything a princess should be!! Happy belated birthdday Princess Mary.
I love princess Mary and Catherine Dutchess of Cambridge, they’re my favorite princesses. They give off similar vibes and remind me of each other … both very regal, elegant, beautiful and charming💝
I agree! I read that they are friends and Catherine learned how to dress from Mary's style. They both always look impeccable.
so true about Cathrine and Mary. and they got along extremely well. both gracious, kind royals
I like Kate but she and Mary are nothing alike. Mary was a career woman and very adventurous. Her best women friends are some of the Nordic Royal women and she has many close friends back in AUS as well. I am glad Mary and Kate get along - Mary is of much support I am sure!! My son has a Danish girlfriend whose father works with Prince Frederik.
@@MTknitter22 I think Catherine can learn a lot from Mary, they have similar rolls and challenges but Mary is almost a decade ahead. It's always a comfort to talk to someone who knows what you're going through. Prince Henrik could have leant a lot from the Duke of Edinburgh but doesn't seemed to have done so.
As a dane myself I am very touched by all the lovely comments about our royal family, country and Crown Princess Mary in particular. She is very special indeed:)
It's a testament to the Danes how wonderful and accepting you all were ❤ as an Australian I got a bit teary seeing the mix of Danish and Australian flags
A certain other commoner who married into a royal family needed to take notes from CP Mary. Such poise, class and humility. So proud to be a fellow Australian.
She was very much like Mary, the RF was indifferent towards her and the brother acted even worse. The Danish RF is is far more loving and less stuffy

@@ameliesayshola8854 The British Royal Family were very welcoming to Meghan Markle. They broke long held traditions to make her feel welcome - as did the media and the people . . . at first. But Mary is a totally different person to the Cable TV actress from America. Mary had grown up knowing what a Royal Family was whereas Meghan thought it was a Brit version of Hollywood where she would be 'the star' and could choose what she wanted to do. I'm sure Frederick spent a long time explaining the reality of being part of a Royal Family and Mary moved to her adopted country and worked there before anything became public. Harry it seems didn't brief his future wife on the reality that by marrying him she would have to give up her career and become a servant of a nation that wasn't her own. Mary knew those things and entered into her new life with love in her heart for both her new family and new role.
@@jillosler9353 Mary was from Australia and while Australia officially has the Queen as the head of state, I bet you most Australians know very little about the British royal family. They have their own things to worry about being on the other side of the world than pay attention to an old lady in her 90s who sits on a throne on some faraway island. Plus Mary married into the Danish royal family. Sure, they’re popular in Denmark and maybe Europe but before Mary married Frederick, the average Australian had probably never heard of Frederick or knew he existed.
We all know the British royal family is not welcoming to outsiders and people that question its stupid hierarchy. Diana was beloved by the public but the royal family made her miserable and in the end she died because she was trying to sneak away from the press. She was very vocal about how unwelcoming they were. The same happened to Meghan, all these awful stories about her came out after the very successful Pacific tour she and Harry did. Sure, the family was welcoming at first but when they saw how popular Harry and Meghan were in comparison to boring Will and Kate they stopped being welcoming. Why? Because the royal family wanted to sideline them, they didn’t want them to become so popular and have another beloved Diana on their hands. Harry and Meghan didn’t play ball and were not going to sit there and let negative stories bully them and their kids so they left that toxic system. The British royal family has always been one of the most dysfunctional families and it has a documented history. I can think of so many examples, you do not want to get me started.
@@ameliesayshola8854 Not True.
@@debrasade6751 it is true!!.. the British royal family probably seemed welcoming to Meghan at the beginning but that was on the surface ... you could see they didn't really like her and she obviously could see that, she's very intelligent. I'm not big fan of Meghan as i don't like how she conducts herself at times. But truth must be said... it's really not an easy thing to deal with what she dealt with..her reputation was tarnished on daily basis everywhere on the news especially at the time where she was pregnant and then had her baby...a time where a woman is most vulnerable. She wasn't protected. If they cared for her they would have protected her. It was obvious things were leaked out by British royal family on purpose to make people hate her. Even William allowed for stories to go the news because he was jealous...She was being bullied along her husband. I think it was the best thing they did is leave. Though their departure made the royal family lose its sparkle.... but also people have had enough hearing about the dysfunctionality of the British royal family since there are so much happening in the world they are irrelevant with their staged behaviour.
Awww I love her ❤ Crown Princess Mary is just the most lovely person inside and out. Her relationship with the Crown Princess, and how they are as a family with their children is adorable. So humble and down to earth. I adore this woman! Happy 50th birthday your royal highness.
SUCH A BEAUTIFUL AND KIND-HEARTED LADY, PRINCESS Mary.
This is truly a heart warming documentary.
Just read all the comments here, just about everyone here has such beautiful things to describe how wonderful Mary is and how she embodiment how a Princess should be. Her marriage to Prince Frederik is such a blessing to both Denmark and Australia.
Only Prince William's marriage to Kate Middleton probably comes close in terms of how extraordinary and beautiful a relationship between a man and a woman should be like.
They are a wonderful role model to any couple looking for inspiration in a relationship.
May God bless both Mary and Frederik in that they stay healthy and in love for the rest of their lives together.
I don't think they truly reflect the Modern Monarch as Princess Mary is more down to earth without that very pretentious snobby accent Kate Middleton has adopted since she became married. Not a fan of the British at all sadly..they lost me years ago with their ugly racism.
She may be fluent in Danish but you can still hear the Australian inflection
The eucalyptus in the wedding bouquet was what l always remember both flags were a nice touch too 🇦🇺🇩🇰
You can hear in her english danish inflection.
She is a gem!!! Happy birthday Princess Mary!!
I was scrolling RUclips and not planning to watch this till the end but couldn't stop watching!
What a beautiful human being and great calming journalist with respect.
Thank you so much for the subtitles.
Denmark is lucky to have Mary as crown Princess .
Wow! How much love, admiration, respect, she has known how to earn that! Congratulations! Such a beautiful lady and princess!
Such a warm personality, so lovable. And a great interview by an sympathic person
Absolutely lovely, so enjoyed the documentary !thank you for the subtitles ,as I am from Perth Western Australia ,and so very proud of Princess Mary truly a fairy tale come true ! They are so in love , and are meant to be together, Beautiful!
Crown Princess Mary is so lovely! Graceful, intelligent, charming and beautiful. I was really impressed with her Danish. She stated that her Danish wasn't that great . She was spot on with her diction, pronunciation , and profound expression. She was made for this role. She went right to work with her charities. Never taking the easy way out. Hard working and always with compassion. The love, concern, and compassion she has for her people is truly amazing.
Now here is a natural born princess being given the opportunity to rise by an amazing support from the Royal family in Denmark and has strived to make every effort to ensure that she assimilates into the role of Princess of Denmark and honour the amazing family who have embraced and supported her transition into the family. I am truly proud to say that I am an Australian and take great pride for everything that Princess Mary has put in so much effort to embrace her new life and remember where she has come from.
We have full trust and confidence in HRH Crown princess Mary, soon to be Queen. You have every right to be proud. We are more than happy to have her...but have to say sorry as well, because she is a keeper.😄 However other nations have asked us for a Royal monarch to form their own Kingdom in modern times and we have delivered (Greece and Norway). Now you maybe even could get one with half an Australian bloodline. The soon to be King and Queen have 4 children. The eldest will be King of Denmark one day but that leaves 3 he he... I am not sure the Brits would appreciate that though. And the Danes would probably think twice about sending anyone to a nation where Murdoch media and their paps in the bushes and serial lies are accepted. We have and give respect and want our royals to be able to also enjoy their privileges and be able to have private life that allows them to be well rounded humans.
Thank you so very much Mafiapanda for gifting us with this glorious documentary w/ subtitles. HRH Crown Princess Mary is truly a gem. She possesses every noble quality and gentleness of spirit that makes her so unique. The Danish interviewer was wonderful. And the ending with the girls' choir dedicating that beautiful song to her brought me tears. How befitting. Happy Birthday to a real princess and one gracious lady. Denmark is truly blessed.
That was beautiful. Cannot imagine our Queen talking like this.
She is so elegant! And didn't know Danes are so romantic and sentimental (according to the speeches at the wedding)
Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, you are a credit to your parents, your Australian roots, and yourself. The grace and dignity in which you show in all you do is an example to the world. May God almighty hold you in the palm of His hand forever, bless Prince Frederick and your dear children with honour and faithful care for each other and your country....Amen....
Denmark is so lucky to have her ❤
And we love having her as a princess
This American just loves this couple! Thank you for supplying English subtitles ... I'm sure the words of the closing song are very touching.
@KibgsDaughter1958, I thought my American friends were unique in how much they adore Mary! I am British and we talk about Mary a lot!!
@@MTknitter22 :) PS: Mary's wedding dress was more classy and beautiful than Diana's and Kate's combined ... of course, that's just my humble opinion.
this is what the sing too her:

I see that you’re a real red rose
@@theco1987 No wonder it moved her so much. Thank you for the translation. I think it's great that they have so fully accepted her rather than seeing her as an outsider. It also speaks volumes about her genuineness and sincerity.

She’s lovely, articulate and kind. The British Royals could take lessons from this entire family.
Why? We have the equivalent in Catherine with William by her side.
@@jillosler9353 Ni you do not Catherine us touted fo fashion and mothering skills. Catherine has yet to show the inteligence, tbe grace and commitent to difficult causes. Princess Catherine of Wales and Crown Princess Mary are equally beautiful, stylish, humble, intelligent, and Regal. They are both educated, come from solid middle class families, and they look enough alike to be sisters. Mary's family immigrated from Scotland to Australia where she was born. I loved it when her father wore a kilt to her wedding to Prince Frederich.
What a beautiful tribute. She is so graceful and the Danish people can be very proud to have her. God bless them.
Sensible interviewer. Very intelligent, warm hearted responder. Lucky Denmark!
WOW, thank you so much for the translation. The choir in the end is so moving. I adore Mary, what a wonderful human. TACK
How lovely to hear her compliments and love for her Husband the Crown Prince! She is a lovely Royal Lady!
From South Africa 🌍
Thank you for sharing Crown Princess Mary in a different light. I have been following Mary throughout the years. Love this Royal family. Again, grateful to you for allowing us to enjoy Mary.
MANY PEOPLE ARE AGAINST THE ROYALS, WHETHER IN DENMARK, UK, ETC. BUT, WHEN ROYALS VISIT A COUNTRY, IT HELPS CHILDREN TO DREAM AND HOPE FOR A BEAUTIFUL AND BETTER WORLD AND FOR THEM TO REACH THEIR DREAMS THROUGH OTHERS.
She is absolutely amazing! such a noble and great soul. Denmark is so so incredibly lucky to have such an amazing Crown Princess and future Queen. She is so beautiful in every possible way outside and inside and she truly radiates beauty and kindness I don't believe to have ever seen a public person or royals fighting to combat loneliness which is like a growing disease in our days. I think she will be an amazing Queen.
She worked hard to hold it together at the end, such a warm and humble lady, she was born to be a royal 💖
This is your life Mary.
What a beautiful documentary, we are very proud of you.

Thank you so much for supplying the subtitles ! What a treat to hear and know what CP Mary was saying ! Such a lovely interview. Really enjoyed it ! x
Glad you enjoyed it, I've also translated the documentary about Frederik, where Mary has a lot to say as well 🙂
It was a great interview... very sensitively done and professionally delivered. The journalist obviously thinks a lot of the CP
Thank you SO MUCH for the English subtitles, it means a lot to be able to watch and truly understand this interview. I admire the Crown Prince and Crown Princess, in the way they choose to raise their children, and how they seek to make Denmark and the world a better place. I always especially enjoy seeing documentaries on the royal houses of Denmark, Sweden, and Norway because they seem to seek to live in a less-formal way and they seem to succeed in enjoying life while representing their respective countries with integrity, and with great joy plus enthusiasm for life.
It is simple: History has shown us, that a monarchy can be very, very, VERY useful. Think the Norwegian King heading the resistance against the nazis or the Danish King defending the jews openly. I guess it is very simple: They have our back and we have theirs. As long as that continues, things will stay as they are.
@@mochtegerndane7097 Those monarchies made a difference when it really counted and they stood up for what was right, that is always important.
@@905lovest They do continuously - At least once a year, the Queen adresses us as people in a speech - but you are right, they also leads the way when it really counts
The royal houses of Scandinavia, Sweden, Norway and Denmark have a fair share of common born "first row"members in their families: Norways Queen Sonja and Crown Princess Mette-Marit. Swedens Queen Silvia and Crown Princess Victorias husband Daniel (now Prince Daniel of Sweden). Denmark Queen Margrethes husband the late Prince Henrik of Denmark and Crown Princess Mary. New blood is always good and all 3 Kingdoms have been fairly lucky with it, so far.
It is no wonder that Kate and Mary are such good friends. They are both humble, generous and compassionate women who happen to be royal- role models indeed. I hope they live long and happy lives
@Sean Bayley Crown Princess Mary cant stand waity katy.

Thank you so much for this. Love Mary. I watched this without subtitles when it came out, and really the emotion spoke beyond any language. She is a gem. Denmark is lucky to have her.
Such a reassuring wonderful interview about the beautiful Crown Princess Mary. As an Australian I’ve followed her life with much pleasure. She’s intelligent & caring, what a great asset she is to Denmark’s Royal family. I’ve also been captivated by the fabulous Queen Margrethe 11 she’s just amazing.
@@helenlovegrove7746 Our queen truly is - she knows just how to let the press in, but also have a distance to be able to be a private family, which Frederik has learned from and Marry too. She also arrived in a country where privacy is (somewhat) cherished.
@@TainDK The danish press has shared respect for the RF and tbeir RF return this. The British press does not have this.
@@juanitamayers7885 Its a bit of a dance - if some of the danish press goes to far, they might make an announcement of privacy, like the one the priest at Marys and Frederiks wedding gave us, the public, to let them have their honeymoon in peace. In the 80s and 90s there where good communication and mutual respect - i feel today the royals have learned how to reign the press, not excluding anyone, but tentative to the questions appropriate regardless of who asks them but also disregard questions. Like being on travels to Japan to further trade and asking trade questions, they wouldn't throw the focus away from that to announce a pregnancy but wait for a moment that was better, nor answer (many) likeminded questions not suited for the work at hand, to make sure the focus is where it should be at that moment...
Crown Princess Mary could be a professor on how to do it right. She is utterly charming!
I’m so proud of princess Mary our Aussie princess 👑. She’s intelligent and a beautiful soul. She obviously connects very well with people she meets all over the world. Having been brought up in Australia have had a strong impact in who she is today. Happy belated 50th birthday 🎂 🥂💐♥️♥️
