Engraving Resingrave with a Spitsticker Tool

A short video showing how I use an Elliptical Tint Tool, or "Spitsticker", on a Resingrave block. Resingrave is a synthetic alternative to the end-grain boxwood used in traditional wood engraving. These tools are kept extremely sharp, and they have the ability to engrave a line that swells and tapers, bringing out highlights and showing dimension in an image. This video shows my engraving of an Alaskan caribou after having engraved for about 5 hours. There are about 5 to go before it is ready to print.
