Yes, the problem I see is that the only way they could have fit the prison escape is to do it in the other half of the episode, but if they had done that they would have to cut the aftermath of Angstrom Levy's fight, and How Mark feels about it, even if they included the prison break the thing would have been too fast because they wouldn't have been able to build Allen and Omniman's friendship, I say that the last scene could have been that they showed Battlebeast to hype people up a little, but apart from that I really liked the episode, it is not at the level of the final episode of the first season but is unfair to compare it with that since the first season had a build up to that scene, however the second season is more like starting to build new plots that will pay in the future. plus I like Angstrom as a villain and I liked his characterization in the series (the voice actor did it incredible) and I say this as someone who has already read the comics

One thing I wished they highlighted more was why Angstrom Levy's idea of a masterplan was to fuse the other highly traumatized Angstroms without powers into his mind. His modus operandi was to make a utopia full of knowledge, but when he views how many multiverses have been ruined by Mark & Nolan, why is that his priority? He could've, at any time, used Prime Mark (or Anomaly Mark depending on how you want to put it) as a Noah's Ark to ferry survivors to. He could've asked this world's Mark for help like how Titan did it. In the comics, I believe he had a run-in with alt-world Cecil which made him distrust the government agents of every world - hence, why he resorted to using Maulers to merge every Angstrom. I always thought the initial plan was so flawed no one in their right mind would think about doing this after witnessing what their parallel selves went through. If Kirkman views the show as a chance to edit the graphic novel's canon (Amber's race-swap, more Debbie mom moments, Rex destroying Lizard King, etc.), then why the hell didn't he make sure to show Prime Angstrom's thought process that led to his merger. Show how many times he tried and failed to do every other option. Show how he failed at convincing Cecil or Mark or anyone. Show what led him to have such high-minded, Utopian ideals. Instead the show tells us, through exposition, what final-form Angstrom's mental state was in a short-span of time through heavy-handed flashbacks. I would've loved to have seen this version of Angstrom go through his trials and tribulations, try to find himself through multiple traumatized memories and personas, and ultimately fail. The writer's room could've nixed a lot of unnecessary plot-beats to expand on Angstrom as a sympathetic yet horribly misguided villain. He would've been a great parallel to Mark's character arc as Mark was attempting to not become his father and show restraint. Mark's entire arc was trying reject his Vultrimite heritage by resisting his impulses to kill as he associated violence and killing with the Chicago incident and the multiple innocents Omniman had killed on his conquest. The theme of self-discovery and existential crisis if there was a lot more Angstrom and less Amber. As it stands show Angstrom's a lot like his book counterpart - extremely annoying and serves only as a vehicle for the upcoming Invincible War. An extremely underutilized character.
There was one thing that annoyed me about AL starting The Invincible War. By his own admission, he said that most (if not all) other Invincibles were evil. So he gets a bunch of evil Invincibles to attack the world of a "good" Invincible... and he still thinks he himself is not evil. The very same trauma that so many of Anstrom's counterparts lived thru (Invincible destroying/conquering Earth), he's introducing to a rare Earth that hasn't experienced it. I do agree it didn’t feel like a season finale but I think y’all are overreacting about the prison break scene not being the finale. This is just me but I would prefer it to be a banger season premiere for next season. Episode 1 being the prison break, Allen taking Nolan to the collation, Mark finding out about the white room. Episode 2 and 3 being centered around Mark & Eve’s relationship sparking and beginning while also introducing the Blue & Black suit AND introducing Omni-Kid. Episode 4 Mark goes to the future to stop a dictator Immortal while Omni-Kid fights the mauler twins and when Mark gets back he has a talking to with Oliver about it then we see the drone from Angstrom that’s been spying on Mark as the end of the episode. Episodes 5 and 6 are the Invincible war. Episode 7 is the ending/aftermath of the Invincible war and the end of the episode introduces Conquest. Episode 8 is Invincible vs Conquest through most of the episode then by the end we get a sad finale with if you’ve read the comics a funeral for you know who. Of course, beginning and end of season 4 being the Viltrumite war.

The fact that you didn't see Nolan say he misses Debbie in earlier episodes should have been an indicator to what we could expect in the Finale. That line was crucial in the storyline and wouldn't have worked well if the prison break happened in the same episode. Even though the Finale wasn't as good as the first season, the overall second season was better than the first season. The goal isn't always to simply surpass the past season but to justify and bring the story full circle. Heck even the creators know that the season 1 finale was crazier which is why they showed it again although it did fit the story but they did. I'm not saying that I didn't want the prison break but it is what it is. Hope this is just a step back of a lion before the charge and they surpass all our expectations in season 3. Also the reason why the Season 1 finale created that much hype was because it was unexpected by the masses and most people haven't read the comics.
I think the invincible war should take atleast 2 episodes since the war lasted 3 days. But over all it would be nice to have invincible and conquest clash on the last episode for season 3
dont get me wrong this season had some banger scenes but the finale felt a bit anti climatic i also think the "i thought you were stronger" line couldve been said with more emotion he sounded more annoyed than distraught
I guess we could rely on Amazon. Till now they have adapted the comics only better. They aren't marvel or WB, so ig we can expect them to give us a grand season 3.
How was that disappointing 💀 this was insane dude, I loved it. For one who didn’t read the comics I’m pretty sure angstrom wasn’t supposed to die but idk
exactly. Thinking the espideo was lackluster is fine, (i dont agree tho), I just hate comic readers ruining everyones perception of how the show plays out.
@@OmoshiSage it’s fun to theorize buts it’s also harder since we’ve read the comics already and have expectations. Honestly at this point I’m done trying figure out how they are adapting the show and imma stay away from the comics so that everything comes back up as fresh to me.
Tbh they just gotta make more episodes. If you wanna highlight character trauma and growth, you have a better way to balance it out with the action. The long wait for the second half really didnt help either, they made it seem like there were gonna go all out. Makes you think if we’re even gonna see the conquest fight next season because now we gotta deal with the prison escape, mark and Eve dating, sequid invasion and the invincible war which could drag out for 2-3 episodes.
Trauma isn't what keeps your business running and people invested in merchandising, and example of this is the timeskip in One Piece where Ace died, and Luffy assumed Sabo was dead made people only ever truly excited for Gear 5th Luffy, Sabo declaring on the holy lands, and Egghead Island.
A really good cliffhanger would’ve been when SPOILERS, dinosaurus kills mark showing the whole world. However that means a lot of the aftermath with angstrom and the friendship with Omni man and Allen would’ve been cut down. But I do agree that while the episode was good, it was not season finale good
I think they try to make season 3 as the big war ark like I got it they cannot smack all of the war into merely 8 episodes and still make changes so as far as i care we might actually see another variant of mark story the one that less painful to be watch by kids too
I believe the prison break is going to happen probably either episode one or two in season 3 I believe in the middle towards the end we’re going to get Invincible war and final episode that we get to see Conquest And I see Viltrumites war in the middle of season 4 and they call a truce in season finale And I’m not gonna lie I see Invincible last until either season 6 or 7

I liked the episode but it feels more like a mid season finale. It only really sets up the prison break and Eve and Mark getting together. Season 1 ended with the sequid, Doc Seismic, the Mualers, and the reanimen teases. Plus Angstrom wasn’t in as much of the season as Omni Man was making him not have as much of a connection and buildup as Omni Man did as the main villain. A lot of stuff from the past few episodes got resolved which make those scenes work as a scene from this season, but the Angstrom storyline was barely in the season which makes him being the main villain of this season make less sense. I like the episode and it helps make Angstrom and Mark’s rivalry very good but Angstrom should’ve been built up a lot more before this episode. He didn’t even have to interact with our Mark before this episode but he should’ve been like watching Mark and his family whether it was Mark from our universe or another universe. The finale talks about Mark from other universes and their identities being public, Oliver not existing in other universes but I think we should’ve seen that before this episode. Even just one scene where he breaks into Debby’s house in episode 7 before the call could’ve been cool.
I will say this seeing as they cut or changed a bunch of stuff we could get the invincible war hopefully next season seeing as they cut eve dating William and mark being gone in the dimensions being cut also I’m predicting the Cecil stuff to happen first 3 episodes also they could make the prison break a special to save time and get more interactions
It was a decent finale but really as a comic reader im just glad the show has taken its time to get all its ducks in a row to go WILD next season and the season after.
I agree I was so hype for the last episode I thought they're gonna do the prison break but all we got was Nolan missing his old K-9 he left back home. (sorry if that offend anyone that was a joke)
The series is already as rushed as it is. For the prison Break to happen, Nolan and Allen have to develop the bromance they have in the comics, so I understand why it didn't happen given that Allen was caught like 1 episode before the season finale. Same with Mark and Eve. He had JUST broken up with Amber, so while in the comics time between events can have a different pacing, a TV show with seasons thst only have 8 episodes must play by different rules. It has to be more organic for the viewer.
Most lamest shit ever when they take 2 years to make a season that last only 2 episodes doesn’t even hit double digit episodes, filling in pointless dialogue about “techniques” to speed up filming.
Very anticlimactic, thought we’d see the prison break, they could’ve done a longer episode so we could see it instead of having to wait at least a year and a half excluding mid season breaks.
I felt like the fight with angstrom was pretty boring and paced pretty horribly imo. I still don’t get why mark is only good in THIS universe, either its just angstrom’s jaded worldview we’re being shown or he’s right?? But it seems absolutely bonkers to me that there’s any notion that the takeover of earth is some sort of universal constant. I think everything in the finale was just paced terribly or just didn’t need to be there like the callback to that archaeologist from s1. They literally kill any sort of emotion I should feel for mark’s breakdown by placing this comedic scene right before it. It doesn’t even lead anywhere!! Guess we gotta wait 5 more years to see this plot point resolved as well as the prison break and battle beast.
So freshing to see a honest invincible fan not some of these stans that defend the 4 month wait . If avatar the last air bender can do 20 episodes per year with no 4 month gap then invincible has no excuse to take 2 years and 4 month for 8 50 minute episodes ridiculous especially the fact there is complete source material to copy from
The specials are comics that are separate from the invincible comics. There's specifically spin-off comics, but the prison break was in the actual comic
Let's see how it goes I am pretty much so they can a milk of suck out invincible and after the series connection they gonna launch a new series with invincibles daughter and I am 100% sure just like every other series they gonna run invincible invincible legacy one way or another
@@OmoshiSage to be honest a personal problem for me is that I read the entire comic series and I knew I wasn’t gonna love that episode that much. I enjoyed season 2 but the mid season break and episode 8 kinda brought down the season.
another thing i gotta say is that the episode was absolutely amazing. its a masterpeice. It was only not fitting of a finale because of the comics. The show is saving important key plot points that can be fully solved for ANOTHER time. the season is amazing, and so will the next one. Yall just gotta be patient.
I hate Amber with every cell in my body with an extreme amount rage since the character of Amber that Invincible did in the Amazon series was already done perfectly in Tron Uprising, and despite the longest wait I had to wait my ass off for the newest season of Tron Uprising they did their season 2 perfectly more than Amazon did.

Of course, beginning and end of season 4 being the Viltrumite war.

watching all these collabs was just a chefs kiss
Knew people would feel this way now 😭
Felt like there was a little filler I would of traded the Donald stuff and William stuff for the prison break
Nah
I disagree. That was important in its own right. I’d rather the season just take more time than cutting.
@@theworld6710 i would agree with you if their was not so much to cover and if they take there time so much it will take like 5-7 seasons for the show to finish and if you account for 1-2 release date that’s 5-10 years
I Definitely agree with you on this one with the prison break I really thought it was gonna happened and I was hyped for it also yes I wanna see battle beast again He is one of my favourite characters on the series. Am just saying if they did do it thats a way to go out with a bang plus with all the craziness happening in that aswell but it is what it is guess. Now gonna wait till Next Year soo its going to be awhile man
The whole season was filler, and it's a good story decision. Wait patiently for season 3 and itll get much better.
ye true I sort of Understand why they don't add it in this episode since they don't want to rush that story overall and the same thing with eve and Mark's relationship he has just broken up with Amber now and he doesn't want to jump into another relationship already after the whole break up thing it would feel rush it will eventually happened through out sea 3 but its gonna be slow progress and I can't wait for it to happened man Until Next Year lol @@darktrooper5949
@@darktrooper5949 Are you the same person using all those accounts? Or are they your friends because I honestly can’t see how anybody would actually like the season finale😂
@@DCartoonist
I liked the episode and I don't know the guy, in fact many liked the episode, just look at the reactions on RUclips, I would say that the most impatient people who read the comic would not be satisfied with the ending and even so I I read the comic and I still liked it
The fact that you didn't see Nolan say he misses Debbie in earlier episodes should have been an indicator to what we could expect in the Finale.
I agree with everything you just said. I also hope season 3 meets everyone's expectations
They wasted a lot of time on useless stuff like the whole tomb scene and then just standing around at their home
Season 3 better make up for it by doing invincible war episode 7 and conquest episode 8
Hopefully
I think the invincible war should take atleast 2 episodes since the war lasted 3 days. But over all it would be nice to have invincible and conquest clash on the last episode for season 3
Conquest probably not invincible war too soon dude
dont get me wrong this season had some banger scenes but the finale felt a bit anti climatic i also think the "i thought you were stronger" line couldve been said with more emotion he sounded more annoyed than distraught
It was OK I guess
Nah the prison break can wait i think, i was worried they were squashing too much in to the finale, so Im glad they didnt
He didn't die
@@OmoshiSage oh well then they are definitely changing some things
I just wish the gore was more graphic like in the first season.
invincible is overhyped trash but we'll see if next season is soild
I feel it was lackluster for sure… a disappointment not as much. I think trying to predict the show through comics is gonna ruin the experience tbh.
You have a point
Finale was ok
really wished he told Eve he loved her
Wished we AT LEAST saw battle beast
Wished we just saw more
Same I agree I think invincible needs to get more episodes because the next 2 threats requires more time to flesh out
Tbh they just gotta make more episodes.
I'm completely satisfied with this ending. I just wanted season 2 to end and wait in anticipation for what comes next in later episodes.
Dude you basically took the words right outta my mouth the episode wasnt bad at all but it was not all what i had in mind.
yea, same. very disappointing. cant wait to wait another year until season 3. also wasnt angstrom levy the one to start the invincible war?
to be honest it’s sucks that the cut the whole spider man arc
Yes the prison break!!! I was hoping we'd get to see the prison break
It may have helped to extend the season by a couple episodes or make a movie for the prison break.
A really good cliffhanger would’ve been when SPOILERS, dinosaurus kills mark showing the whole world. However that means a lot of the aftermath with angstrom and the friendship with Omni man and Allen would’ve been cut down. But I do agree that while the episode was good, it was not season finale good
I think they try to make season 3 as the big war ark like I got it they cannot smack all of the war into merely 8 episodes and still make changes so as far as i care we might actually see another variant of mark story the one that less painful to be watch by kids too
I believe the prison break is going to happen probably either episode one or two in season 3
I believe in the middle towards the end we’re going to get Invincible war and final episode that we get to see Conquest
And I see Viltrumites war in the middle of season 4 and they call a truce in season finale
And I’m not gonna lie I see Invincible last until either season 6 or 7
It seems so

I agree
nah
Hopefully season 3 will be better
Why would they rush the prison break? Im glad its not happening til season 3
Hopefully we’ll get those episodes in season 3
I'm hoping for the same
Yeah because it’ll make the show better than it ever did
It was a decent finale but really as a comic reader im just glad the show has taken its time to get all its ducks in a row to go WILD next season and the season after.
I feel that this season was filler especially the part one
It has to be more organic for the viewer.
read my books mark
Most lamest shit ever when they take 2 years to make a season that last only 2 episodes doesn’t even hit double digit episodes, filling in pointless dialogue about “techniques” to speed up filming.
Very anticlimactic, thought we’d see the prison break, they could’ve done a longer episode so we could see it instead of having to wait at least a year and a half excluding mid season breaks.
I don’t know about you but u think I’m gonna need a 3 year break to “process” what happened in this episode.
Exactly
If avatar the last air bender can do 20 episodes per year with no 4 month gap then invincible has no excuse to take 2 years and 4 month for 8 50 minute episodes ridiculous especially the fact there is complete source material to copy from
no Kirkman said that they didn't even try to get the rights
Kirkman is a fraud whenever it comes to The Walking Dead and Invincible, so I'm glad you and I despise him as a writer.

No? I know you've read the comics, but it's completely irrelevant to bring up comics especially when it comes to how much the show has changed comapred to the comics.
