  • I know that this door is not locked When practicing lock bypasses, it usually makes ZERO difference whether the is locked or not, or wether it even has a lock installed or not. The practice is for manipulating the latch with your tool.
I shot this video to show how a variety of tools being used in the same manner to show some differences in approach and to show the value of trouble-shooting and how to solve problems with what you've got.

Add a black arrow on a clear piece of plastic so its movement can be discerned by a viewer? Gloriously insightful. Like he teaches this sometimes or something.

Great tips! Will you be doing a video on bypassing the latches that have the spring loaded bar behind the latch?

Loiding is always the first attack, and because so many strikes are improperly set will get you in about as fast as a key 1/3 of the time. Don't buy loid sheets from locksmith suppliers; it's free from various plastic items you normally throw away. The 'professional' loid sheets deform quickly as you can see here where it rode across the plunger which is why it's sold only in multiple-sheet packs. Since you're going to ruin it fast, don't waste your money- go DIY. Experience will guide you to what works best. Heavy loid comes from those grocery store discount cards and credit card offers in junk mail as well as used-up gift cards. Lighter loid comes from the large bottles of window cleaner refills; the plastic is harder to resist the ammonia. Also consider the plastic from 'blister pack' products with cardboard backing; my preferred Q-tip brand makes the perfect next-step-down loid. Soda bottles tend to be too thin and too soft but may work (as shown here) if it's all you can get.
