That is high quality finish on the hand made lure ❤️ after watching so many American made hand made lure videos I never stumbled on your channel... and now it was suggested after Indonesian popper making video 😅 Anyhow subscribed straight away 👍 keep the good work coming 😉
Nice work! Can you give me a tip on the easiest/fastest way to transition between different color paint using the same gun? Like how much cleaning goes in before next paint color can be sprayed. I’m new and trying to learn some tricks from experienced folks like you.
Another magnificent piece. Could you share what procedure you use to draw the lines to do the tappered corners ans achieve the round shape? How can we do it us mortals without experience? Should we measure from a center line...really confused about how to do this. Thanks
Thank you very much! I like to make popper mouths slightly triangular in shape. But you can make them a lot less complicated by drawing your chamfer lines gradually farther away from the corners as you go from back to front. Finish the lines 1/3 of the way in from the corners of the mouth. After you remove the corners, blend it all together with a sanding belt as done in the video. Hope that helps.
@@LogjamLures Thanks a lot for your answer. It's useful to know that I am not ready to get even a tiny bit close to your design. After a frustrating afternoon, I'll keep improving my rounded designs. I believe that a video explaining how to draw the chamfer lines depending on what you want to achieve could have many views. At least I'd watch it many times myself. lol
You are an inspiration sir. Im very interested in getting into lure making. Mostly because I want to make a lymans lure clone. The original balsa wood lymans go for crazy money here in Ontario. People collect them. I'm sure you know all about it lol. I would love to see you make one. Cheers.
Nice one aswell! Got some of the tools and going to get the rest in time and switch from fly tying to making these Kind of baits since the fly rod is being used Less nowadays.. kan use some of the fly tying stuff though.. just wondering, with big fish on topwater the takes can be severe.. do the eyelets ever come out?
Have you ever thought about doing a collaboration with Marling Baits? You could do a 3 day lure challenge where u guys both make lures and fish them in a competitive 1vs1 tourney.
Phenomenal work! My jaw dropped at the final product. I tie flies and panfish poppers, but this looks like a lot of fun too! Very nice video also!
Thank you so much Jared! Keep on tying!
Beautiful. Amazing work.
Thanks very much.
Good looking bait!
Nice Popper build!
Perfect video thank you ... gonna give it a try making and then catching... have not caught a bass on top water yet...
Thank you! Hope you catch a lunker!

Good lure, do you happen to have the plans?
Would suck if it gets snagged haha I would just mount it somewhere. Awesome skills!!
Thanks, appreciate it!
Excelente señuelo muy buen acabado. Felicitaciones, saludos desde Antofagasta Chile.
Enjoying your videos, keep on and good luck!
Thank you, I really appreciate it!
Amazing product! Can you share what kind of glue did you use before painting?
Thanks very much! It's a thin super glue from Starbond.
Works really well as a sealer.
Isn't that what marling uses
What kind of UV clear do you use? That is awesome
Like lookin popper👍👍
Can I ask what were you spraying through the netting after the coat of yellow Thank You
What did you use to seal the popper and that powder stuff to close off the rattles? Thanks looks awesome!
Baking soda and superglue
What's is the white powder you used to cover the weights ?
Nice one aswell! Got some of the tools and going to get the rest in time and switch from fly tying to making these
Kind of baits since the fly rod is being used
Less nowadays.. kan use some of the fly tying stuff though.. just wondering, with big fish on topwater the takes can be severe.. do the eyelets ever come out?
Thank you! And have fun with it!
I haven’t had any eyelets come out yet. You can use two-part epoxy if you want to be really sure for big fish.
Marling baits 2.0 right here
Have you ever thought about doing a collaboration with Marling Baits? You could do a 3 day lure challenge where u guys both make lures and fish them in a competitive 1vs1 tourney.
Not a bad idea, maybe one day.
Donde pone los balines que material es. Se ve como un envase transparente. Gracias
Very nice looking popper.
Having trouble with the eyes. My paint ran. What type of paint do you use for eyes ? Thanks
Thank you!
I just use undiluted airbrushing paint.
What is that little rattle you're putting inside the lure? Hope this isn't a stupid question. Love your work.
It's called a tube rattle which helps to attract fish with the noise and vibration it makes.
And Thank you ;)
What kind of wood please?
Wooow sir what kind of screw did u put on his tail with hole
Stainless steel screw eye.
Where can you find the rattle? And also great video! I love the outcome

Красивый поппер получился 👍🔥
Awesome product, and thank you for the video. Do you use different types of woods for different lures? What wood do you prefer to make lures with?

Thank you very much, and thanks for the sub!
Can you make a tutorial for making rattle inside of the lure?
I buy the rattles pre-made from Amazon.
How do you make it even? My lure attempts always lead to one side being different than the other
Just make equal measurements.
Where do you get those screw eyes in that size
I got mine from Moore's Lures
@@LogjamLures thanks man
I can see the hook guide right next to the lure but no, it's hooked into the reel..
