This is the way we represent DETROIT. Go Detroit.
As a 63 year old Funkateer, I am happy to see the babies keeping the Funk alive.💞
65 in 2020. You Go Girl. Didn't we Dance?! 😆😆😆🎶🎶🎶

Young Lady, all the way from MN I can say the Ancestors are pleased. Go ahead and "fashion what the Elders imagined", yet never forget why they took our drums away. Love, peace, and soul to your crew.
We need positive programs like this all over the world and in every city!
Indeed. But how with lead still in black peoples water in Detroit? Why isn't anyone fighting against Jim crow administration in that area?
This does nothing to help black people. We must change our principles and values
@@chatty2164 Very true.
It is happening 🌱 💚 🌍
And wow it feels good 🚀
Blessings to One and all xo
mrsbrownsugarsweetz I agree !😊
Ok Detroit youngins❤❤❤. Y'all made an entire generation tear up with funkadelic pride and joy.
This is why EVERYONE IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD WANTS TO BE US BUT DON’t WANNA BE US!
It's very very sad! And here we're in 2021 ain't nothing changed
The truth ❤
I truly believe that people of color (African descent) were gifted from ancestries to be great movers to rhythms, great creators of music, and of course wonderfully gifted in singing ALL KINDS OF MUSIC CREATIONS. That is why so many who are not BLACK or do not want to identify as BLACK...take from BLACKS and their NATURAL talents to get them SOME!!!.. And sadly so, many do not want to accept their heritage until it has 'VALUE OF SOME KIND' for them...otherwise, they ride the so-called 'WHITE TRAIN' until they rode enough and the same people who steal, criticize, demoralized BLACK people; then when trouble arises; they remember what people are theirs and they seek their respect, love, and support. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!!
That part.
WORD! 🎯
It’s that MELANIN BABY!!!

That was amazing! You guys stayed true to funkadelic! Lets have a “where are you guys today” five years later. 👍
I love how they’re on the original bus Rosa Parks was on and at the African American museum. They hit some Detroit historical places.

The lead is on top of it 100%!
Yes indeed
The opening was amazing! I was mesmerized ❤ Thank you. Lots of hard dedicated work
We must bring back our old school music so our children may understand that music is the bridge to bring us together
If somebody can figure out how to get Congresspeople off of their self-centered asses, and make funding the arts in American schools mandatory, we just might get our children back.
Cornell Williams I was thinking that too. Everyone in the video was smiling; I was smiling...
It also feeds our Soul, heals us, grows us.
Man I love this vibe. I challenge y’all to introduce an old school song, to your children.

AS AN AVID music lover, and historian on AFRICAN American culture & music genres in particular, THIS whole video IS AMAZING!!!
It brings about a soulful connection between the elder's 70's funk sound & swag mixed in with the new 2020 young generation's swag!
The adorable uniforms, the sweet and adorable, yet sassy voices that were hitting EVERY KEY, their lil dances and indvidual facial expressions and signature moves were spot on
Makes you feel like youre at a black family reunion with your lil cousins performing for the elders /but also at a George clinton concert getting your groove on with the elders lol! The instruments fantastic/ the videography on point
With the recent reports about the bleek outlook concerning Detroit.....yet the Magnificent & HISTORICAL importance that DETROIT (Motown) has played in the birthing and production of a new wave/sound concering African American/Black music in the 50's/60's that brought up many many ground breaking artist & musicians, a good amount of whom became Hall Of Fame-A-list Celeberities and other forms of significant players in this walk of life makes this Video that much more LOVEABLE!
A nostalgical moment mixed in with HOPE & what seems to be a possible BRIGHT future for Detroit!!
The Great George Clinton Im sure is VERY PROUD!
Keep THRIVING Beautiful BABIES, cause Nothing CAN STOP YOU NOW!!

When life was COOL, with the afro, the bell bottoms, the stacked heel shoes, my 75 Cutlass Supreme with the 8 track tape, blasting Earth, Wind and Fire, Bootsy Collins, and my main man George Clinton playing on the tape; blue with the white interior and the t-top and you had to have those white wall tires.
