Namdroling Nyingmapa Monastery is the largest teaching center of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in the world 🏯. It is close to the city of Mysore, in the State of Karnataka, in southern India.
It is officially called the Namdroling Nyingmapa Monastery (or Thegchog Namdrol Shedrub Dargye Ling) (བོད་ ཡིག ཐེག་ མཆོག་ རྣམ་ གྲོལ་ བཤད་ སྒྲུབ་ དར་ རྒྱས་ གླིང་ །). And the address is Bylakuppe, Coorg, Karnataka, India.
🔷 The Namdroling Monastery represents the fruit of the great investment of time and energy made by Penor Rinpoché. Today, the Namdroling Monastery in Byalakuppe is a thriving community and home to thousands of lamas, monks, and nuns, making it the largest Nyingmapa teaching center in the world. Those who have studied or are studying in the monastery receive spiritual training directed and guided by Penor Rinpoche himself.
