Its not erasing history. It's illegal in several countries like GERMANY. Why? Because GERNANY started a war that killed up 100 million people. If you think not putting it on a model on RUclips is erasing history then you are pretty over dramatic.lol. It's a model, not a documentary. It's been illegal since pretty much the war ending in 1945. Maybe LEARN something before reading like a fool. Maybe look up WHY it is illegal in certain countries. You won't. Historical accuracy is essential.
I'm glad you added the Swastika.
Otherwise the kit is a waste of money.

I believe modelers like us also have a responsibility to accurately display our models in their historical representation in colors, camouflage, weathering, national markings, etc. including political party images like the swastika regardless of who it offends. Don’t worry about offending losers.

Man I love your humor. I just finished watching your P-51 build where you lost the landing light, now the seatbelts, laughing it off. In my case when I lose something it takes so much self control not to bin the entire build lol.

Great job, as pointed out, the rudder pedals are upside down, but seeing them in that cramped cockpit will be difficult.
Those Mr Color lacquers are awesome to use. I also love the AK Real Colors range.

Great job on that mottling. It's not an easy thing to pull off. I've built a number of Eduard's 109's and I have one tip for you or anyone else. You can leave that disc that plugs up the nose that the spinner plugs into off until the very end of your build. It may need a little sanding.
This way you can paint the exhausts seperately and with a little care you should be able to plug them in from the opening in the nose then seal it up with the disc.

Awesome, very well done model. You should try eduard 1/48 FW 190F-8 next, the ground attack version. You can muck it up with all kinds of weathering. The eduard FW 190 kits are my all time favorites, cheers.

Great job. I'm working on one of these as well. Pity about the transparency of the yellow number decals, but that's a quibble about the kit, not the build. A tip about the exhaust paint--Tamiya Smoke works great and you can build it up in layers to get the effect you want.

You can be happy to add the swastika! For me as a german, it’s not allowed to own or use something with this symbol except you show it with a cross through it.
I have one BF109 to build too. I have to think about what to do for my own channel. Build it with correct markings or not?! I like to use a thumbnail with the whole model on it. But maybe I have to “copy” the angle like tours. It’s a shame! And I say sorry maybe I have to do it!
The other here say it right. It is part of the history. We model builders want to show this history in its correct way. History isn’t erasable!

You can’t go copying my style😉 I’m joking of course have a play around but what I would recommend is finding a style that is yours, then when people see that style of thumbnail they will know that it is you. It’s something that I have tried to make a staple of my channel for the past year or so, when you see that bold title and close up shot you know it’s a Mach Model video! Why don’t you try find something like that?🤙🏻😁

Great build and paint job. Flory models does a dark dirt clay wash that is easy to use and highlights rivet details etc very well I'd you fancy giving it a go

Nice video, I like the final presenttion. Luckily the cockpit is small and busy, so the rudder pedals mounted upside-down, are not visible in the finished model.

The slats on Bf109,s were not spring loaded, they slid in and out freely on tracks. Air pressure kept them in and also caused them to pop out when the angle of attack was great enough.

I just started my 5th and 6th Eduard 109 builds. First 4 were total disasters. Nice paint job. Rudder pedals looked upside down but I could be wrong.

Very nice build! Love the sheen. This is how they really looked not just flat everywhere. Also not a fan of dark panel lines, makes the model look to over done, just my opinion. You have a great eye! Well done!

I had photo etch seat belts fly off when I was touching up a cockpit with my air brush.
I got to play the "find the missing piece" on the floor game, I lost.

So the rudder pedals are inverted. Whoopi! So what? Seems a lot on here appear to take great delight in telling you this very minor error.
If you were to enter this in a competition, I bet no judge would notice.
The only matter that I can see, and this might be a fault with Eduard, is I always thought the F Series had round openings in the main wheel bays (like a Spitfire). The more familiar angled openings were for wheel covers that didn't materialise till the K-4.
I might be wrong.

It looks really good and i love the paint job but i feel like it needs more weathering as it woukd be in quite harsh wintery conditions and not cleaned a lot

you did a splendid job here I've built 8 of these beautiful kits and I can say that they are a treat to build and paint ,just some kind advice on mottling I use the pro con boy airbrush myself the mottling effect is trial and error but over time I found that having your paint thin as a wash and low psi i use 10 to 12 psi for mottled effects you have to build it up slowly its tedious but well worth it,..I enjoy your channel last weeks F16 Aggressor was awesome kutgw 🍻

Remember these old fighter groups and pilots would recieve these aircraft new.
The crew used what paints were avalible to help.

Amazing build! Absolutely love it, curious to know what airbrush you use for the bulk of your painting, I picked up a cheap one from Amazon and it is very hit and miss. I don’t know whether this is entirely on me or if it is in fact the airbrush but would love to hear your input.
I would also just like to say that I too love going to Hannants and it is the highlight of my week when I do go to pick up another kit for the week.

That kit is the next one up for my bench. It won’t look nearly that nice, that paint job is a bit scary!

Aren't Eduard models harder to make ( assemble) generally?
Well this depends, in my personal opinion I think their kits are superb but definitely require a little more thought compared to something of Tamiya which magically falls together.🤙🏻

Very sharp and clean ,how about using an oil wash on the panel line ,to just pull the 109 out more.
