I only recently started using kittl, and being used to photoshop it was something huge not having this function. I always had to export, edit in photoshop and upload again, or using masks in weird and creative ways. Lucky me, I didn't have to wait long. Even though i can use photoshop, i still like to do everything on the same platform if possible. Two things i'd like to add, one suggestion and one trick. 1. The accuracy issue with the eraser tool cold be improved with a simple function. When in a rush in photoshop, instead of creating a proper path, I often use mask and brush and having the function that creates a straight line between 2 point when pressing shift allows me to be pretty accurate, even with curves after some training. 2. Not a real trick, but could be useful to mention. I often use the vectorizer tool, so this works for me...sometimes when generating with ai there are things or elements you don't want, could even be some simple shape adjustment and the eraser tool comes in help adjusting the generated image, and i only vectorize right after. I noticed that also not being super accurate in the erasing process, the vectorizing tool handle it well straightening the "shaking" erased lines, and making less noticeable some section i may have simply erased off. Always great videos anyway!
Video idea: A campfire discussion about the differing opinions about using AI. AI is so cool, but my artist friends have a strong stance on that it’s stealing from artists, both figuratively and how Adobe takes people’s art. I’d love to hear your guy’s take on it because, as a believer, I don’t like to operate in “gray”, but black and white. And I don’t have friends who are pro-AI, so to hear your guy’s view and data-driven convictions, would be so helpful. I feel like many people would enjoy the discussion as well. Thanks!

They may have fixed this now but when I first started using. If I erased then upscaled the erased part would move to another part of design lol So I have been just upscaling an image then erase. I love love this new tool.

Is it possible to use the eraser to create an illusion of merging? For example, merging text with a shape so the shape appears to have transparent text within the shape. I'm not sure if I made myself clear.

Hey there! Yes, with the free plan you need to provide attribution, which will prompt you when you download your design. The simplest method is to put "Made In Kittl" in your descriptions. :)

@kittldesign I’m a pro acct member, here two things that y’all may have lost your ever loving minds on. 1. Now I can’t easily find borders effects, I think it’s hard to find, and 2. I just attempted to add border to a font and it’s asking me to upgrade because of your new branding kit thing Like seriously? Yall are charging us to add effects to fonts? I’m a pro acct member and I can’t even get access to brand kits and border which is basic stuff that should be available. Lol. Have yall lost your minds? For real. I swear that just when I start to warm up to you guys, then you turn around and mess it up. Why though? It’s petty and yall look desperate for money charging pro acct holders to use basic effects. lol.
Hey there! There may be some confusion here. There is no pay wall for text border or effects (or anything specific to shading or effects). If you have a Pro account, you can certainly use them, and we just did a quick internal test ourselves to double make sure that this is correct. What you cannot do on a Pro plan is save your effect, or border, or shadow as a preset, which is a feature exclusive to Brand Kits (a brand new feature just released last week) for the Expert plan. But we did not take away the ability to add a border, or add effects! If there is an error happening, please immediately reach out to our chat support and we can take a look at that asap. That way we can visually see what you see. (Again, you can always add the border/effect, it's "saving" the effect that is in the next subscription tier). For searching borders, we're sorry about any frustration there! We are assuming you mean in our element search function, which is currently being worked on to try and tag elements more effectively, and it has slightly caused some objects and elements to be de-synced from a search term (but it's almost back to normal!) If you meant something else, please do let us know. 🙏
@@Kittldesign I’m working on a design using a text that was from one of your premade templates. So when I went to change the font color, and add border all I could do is click the little four dots. But if I tried to add a border and window pops up and tells me to upgrade. Honestly, no disrespect but y’all are making things more complicated unnecessarily in the midst of adding more function. Like don’t fix what isn’t broken. Side note: Yall may want to learn more about adding benefits without adding features that literally take away “the value from the benefits” all members should have. And in all honestly, your focus on features in an attempt to add “value” is misdirected, imho. Yall keep pissing off pro members forcing ppl to upgrade when 1. We can’t or don’t want to. More benefits= more value And more features=won’t result in more subs. Yall need to rethink your pricing point and just give value, value, value over taking it away cuz you think adding features is king and it’s not working out so far. lol. I really want to like Kittl, but yall keep fudging it up!!!

I’m not even trying to save presets for branding but the border effects disappeared for the font I was using and all I could do is click on those dots and then when i attempted it populated the upgrade popup. Seriously wish these little guys would stop messing around like this. Is super frustrating and only adds to taking away value. They may have good intentions (extending grace here 🤦🏻♀️) but I’m to my last straw and my renewal is coming up and I’m now considering other options. I just can’t with taking away AI credits and just silly oettty things trying to force ppl into higher upgrades. Like leave what it is and stop trying to fix what didn’t need fixing. Like why not add freaking rulers to clip on for each Canva which is highly needed or add more value not take away to get us to upgrade. 🤦🏻♀️ 😂 I swear I’m ready to get on a call with their CEO and see if I can ask what they heck is he thinking. 😂

I left there and joined the Genesis framework community which was light years better and I’ve even become friends with the cofounder. Which sadly he sold a few years back and Genesis framework hasn’t been the same since. But the point is, greediness never gets you anywhere good in life. The Kittl board is running a 🤡 show right now with these take away benefits and lock you into upgrading feature by feature that no one even came to this software for in the first place. Like y’all taking away what you originally sold on. 🤦🏻♀️

It is possible, but you would need to export your text, and re import it back into Kittl so that it becomes a static image, which you can then erase.
