// 2023 CHANNEL UPDATE //
I’ve moved on from Mobility Mastery (self fascia release) in order to focus on teaching Kinetix, my method of root cause discovery for pain and dis-ease that involves partner fascia release as a “diagnostics” (and regeneration) tool. Kinetix is a complete scientific methodology that I teach to friends, partners and professionals alike inside The Kinetix Academy.
My other primary focus will be the launch and growth of a new podcast and Substack community called The Human Freedom Project.
// NEW CONTENT ON RUclips //
Sometime in 2023 I will return to RUclips with HFP podcast episodes and content created to help you know and understand yourself as a whole organism made of body, soul and spirit. This content will feature the Kinetix methodology, pain science, fascia secrets I’ve learned from 15+ years in private practice, neuroscience and evolving beyond the brain, trauma and the body, and more! I’m excited to go on this new adventure with you.
********** // VIDEO DESCRIPTION // *********
In this video I’m walking you through a simple fascia self-assessment so you can make sense of what you feel when you use fascia release. This is important information to have in your back pocket, because your fascia is ALWAYS changing. Depending on your age, activity levels, stress levels, nervous system health, how often you use fascia release, how toxic you are...it will change.
Fascia is the BEST place to investigate the following systems of your body:
Nervous system
Lymph system
Musculoskeletal system
The nervous system includes everything that lives in your subconscious terrain, where your automated behaviors or “programs” are created and running in the background. Your nervous system is where your safety switches live, aka the triggers that send you into fight/flight/freeze or whatever patterns you’ve created to find as much safety as possible in various situations.
Your nervous system ALSO houses your pain tolerance/avoidance tactics, and determines how often and to what degree you FEEL not only pain, but all sensations and emotions.
Your lymph system is housed INSIDE your superficial fascia and relies on fascial HEALTH in order to facilitate daily detox strategies that keep you healthy and free of toxins.
And of course your musculoskeletal system comprises of your muscles and bones. Fascia wraps every muscle fibril and fiber, every muscle bundle and group, wraps your organs and bones...so there’s a close relationship between your fascia and your muscles, bones and organs.
Lastly, there’s your fascia itself - which by its nature includes your nerve impulses or communication signals between your brain and body (like proprioception, interoception, exteroception, nociception etc), which travel largely through the fascial system; there’s your ECM or extracellular matrix, critical for communication between cells and cellular nutrition, and which largely determines your level of collagen, hyaluronic acid and cellular hydration.
I teach all of this in depth in my programs and trainings, this is just meant to be a snapshot (and we barely scratched the surface).
I want to give you some concrete info you can use to interpret what you FEEL in your fascia, to know whether you should be paying attention to your nervous system, lymph system, musculoskeletal or fascial system primarily.
You’ll have to watch the video for the rest, because I’m walking you through a self assessment demo you can do RIGHT NOW (follow along with me!) But essentially, you can use what you learn in this video as a starting point to interpret what your fascia has to say anywhere in your body. Keep in mind that in order to do this with accuracy you need to PRACTICE and consistently engage with these systems to determine what works for you in terms of assessing and assigning meaning to what you notice.
Did you do the self assessment? Share your results below in the comments section, so we can learn together and inspire others to become badass self-healers!
