I had YSL Bath-towels 45 years ago: Raised Navy stripe-pattern over a low-nap Lime background; with the distinctive "YSL" monogram - that I used-to joke-about.
Fashion snobs at the NYTimes complained that the Great Designer was "selling-out." What Sold-Out were 34,000 bath-towels in One Week from the Bloomingdale's flagship store on 59th Street. Smart/Lucky me: I got there Early; and hung those Towels for Years !
