Thank you Hedvika.... wonderful. The first time I heard these pieces live back in 1980 ... they were played by a very young Remi Boucher. I was astounded then... and now, astounded once again, by your beautiful interpretations. Magical !

OMG unbelievably good playing. Phasing, timing, style, ornaments, perfect tempos. So very musical in that ornaments decorate the melody, and don’t become more important. To boot the Baroque dancing makes this the video of the year!

A beautiful, inspired, lyrical and energetic interpretation at the same time. It is very interesting how much more dynamic this piece of music is with an eight-string guitar than with a lute.

Beautiful 8 string ya got there. You are special, talented, I wish you the very best. I tried to listen carefully to your instrument but were never able to because I became mesmerized by your sense of timing, flawless playing and memory of the work. Your playing, as far I as can discern, is as written. I watched and listened to this 3 different, seperate times. Each was more impressive than the previous.

Fantastic phrasing, bass voicings, bass stopping, & mix of cross-string ornamentation & slur ornaments. Very innovative standing up. Loved the Baroque dancers. Wouldn't it be great having Baroque Dancers when working thru the Baroque Classical Guitar repertoire. Hope your next step is PhD & playing in Baroque Consorts & Ensembles.

Hedvika , your skill has blown my mind ! This popped up in my feed randomly, I come from a Punk music background so wouldn’t have chosen your vid , but up it popped and I clicked , I’m SO glad I did 😮.. I was transfixed from the start , I play a little 6 string guitar but I sit at the feet of a literal genius and all I can say is that your skill and presence kept me rapt in attention all the way through pieces I wouldn’t normally consider listening to . Thank you so much for an unexpected emotional awakening and I wish you so well for your new journey and any changes your facing going forward ✊

I like the fact that you are coming up with some new ideas in classical guitar! Chair? No I'll stand! 6 strings? Nah I'll take 8 please! The bass notes you get with this instrument are wonderful. Recapturing the pitch range of the lute!
Best of luck with your musical career!

  •  6 месяцев назад +3

You play stand-ups on the 8-string guitar BWV with dance examples. I like it very much. When I discovered that it is possible to play classical guitar standing and even better than sitting, I gained a lot of energy in my playing that a person who sits does not have. Also, 6 strings on a guitar is sometimes not enough, especially in baroque music, I was also fascinated by the possibility of multi-string guitars, and I consider 8 to 11 string guitars to be optimal for me. Fingers crossed.
