DSP is a celebrated composer who creates music for a variety of emotions and scenes, not just party tracks. He’s not a DJ playing a constant stream of beats at a function, and it’s unrealistic to expect that at his concert. The songs you found ‘too slow’ were actually composed by DSP himself and originally sung by the legendary Chithra Amma in films. If you don’t appreciate this depth, maybe film composer concerts aren’t for you.
Also, the thumbnail your friend used in the vlog is frankly disrespectful. It’s inappropriate to taunt someone as accomplished as Dr. K. S. Chithra, a Padma Bhushan awardee, with a thoughtless image. She deserves respect for her legacy and artistry. If you have any sense of decency, ask your friend to remove it and please avoid this kind of misrepresentation in the future.

Bayya my experience ok: concert 6:30 ki kaada me and my friend started late and traffic valla kuda late aindi we reached at 7:10 ish. Lopalaki poyam and the concert didn’t start yet sarle edokati ani unnam Akade. 7:30 ki DSP entrance aindi, ngl the entrance was THE BEST. miss ainavalu vala pass ki justice cheyle. He sang Gabbar sing songs and stuff start antha bane unde, we were so full of energy that mem Chithra gari songs ki kuda full egiram. Then random singers came as u said it was getting boring ppl ki intrest poindi, we sat Akade on the ground cus duh opika ledu. Orchestra lo mirchi bgm ki aricham bane.
Now main problem was the signals thing, me and my friend (both girls) went to the concert alone. OBVIOUSLY our parents need to be in contact with us cus we are still teens. My parents were quite stressed ngl, madyalo akada akada I could send a message or something anthe. Malli same point the concert went so long🙂. My friends who were in another section came to the venue at 5:30, just imagine their frustration. A few friends that I knew and met there also left half way after 9:30ish cus genuinely antha em avale dan tharvatha. Food stalls were quite accessible adi oka plus istha Nen. Last varku undam ani entho opika tho we were there, with bare minimum communication ma parents kuda worried unde epud aithadi concert ani. At that point I was waiting for oo antava so I could listen and leave. Full concert wait chesaka last lo vesaru aa song and nak asallllllllll opika lekunde. Imagine dancing to chithra gari songs and being a dead soul for oo antava🙂. Anthe inka song full kale ala ne ochesam me and my friend. Parking issue as u said mem jaldi ocham so issue lekunde, but we did have to walk alotttttttttt. Apparently my friends who left after the concert ended reached home really really late. Imagine being at a concert from 5:30 to 1am🫡. And btw concert start lo dsp gari mic or the ear thing ki edo problem unde he kept scolding the staff on stage which was annoying. Inkokati memu srivalli zone lo unde which is the zone behind the vip or front zone. OBVIOUSLY WE PAID FOR THAT ZONE EXPECTING MORE AUDIENCE INTERACTION. But bro kept going to the backkkkkkkko side croud so many times, almost felt like our ticket was useless. Like Srivalli side ki one time ochad anthe. Thankfully cus I left slightly early I reach home without traffic. Overall rating: 6/10

This is DSP’s concert, and he is a composer, so naturally, he includes background scores as part of his performance. In my view, people like you should consider not attending concerts and should not call themselves fans if they cannot appreciate the music.
People are allowed to have different opinions and preferences. DSP is a great artist with a wide portfolio of music and songs in different genres. All fans have their own favorite pieces of music, everyone will not love the same song/genre. Being a fan does not mean you have to love absolutely everything about the artist. He wasn't disrespectful, all he's saying is that he and his friends did not love the concert line up because they expected somewhat of a different experience. It is completely valid for them to feel disappointed for something they paid for. No can tell others what is and isn't valid. Criticism is not the same as disrespect. There's no need to put others down and tell them they're lacking because they didn't have the same exact opinion and reaction as you.

I sympathize with many of the issues (water availability, delays, AV bass issues, parking etc) but you have to keep in mind DSP is primarily a composer, not a singer. And your age group is typically not the only one attending the concert. So it's natural that many other singers will sing to his tunes and having Chitra do it is like a blessing. So the thumbnail and title of the video are misleading. Even in the US DSP shows are known to be delayed. So it is better not to go to any of these shows. Also, it was miscalculation to choose the no seats area because unless you are an athlete, even if the show was just 2-3 hours, there is a no way you can stand, dance, and sustain for that long.

DSP entry was at around 7:30 pm… and yeah madhi seating zone aina proper seat dorikindhi at around 11pm… so kurchunna tharvatha we weren’t able to stand and vibe to all the mass songs at the end.. appatikey energy motham drain aipoindhi🥲 water bottle ki same thing.. we didn’t have cash and UPI was not working.. and we didn’t enjoy the dj akka part too.. but overall ga we had fun😇
