Not necessarily you can print images to paper and use the press the cricut is a vinyl cutter where you can customize your own designs to be heat pressed.
Ppl give heat presses from Amazon a bad name but it's just not in my budget to get these $500 and up machines with all the other stuff I need to buy.

Just ordered mines I literally just ordered everything my printer and my heat press I already had my circuit for like 2 years I have gave up cause i circuit didn’t accept the images I got frustrated but my cousin told me to put vector so I do that I wish it was other ways to do it as well
