The Kea is basically doing what any (text) adventurer of old would do. Examine everything. Move, push or pull anything. Examine everything again. Something left we didn't push or pull yet? Me, I would have just wrecked the whole thing after one or two tries.
Kias are known being so intelligent to use tools to resolve problems, allot like crow. In general parrots are super intelligent birds and i love them so much.
@@davidcox8961 Do you have compass mechanisms? Have you helped in wars? Have you learned to adapt to an entirely new environment with evolved, hairless apes as pests? I'm no vegan, but I think these fellas deserve huge credit.
Hi there, We are interested in using some of your Kea footage in a German TV-show. Unfortunately I can't find any contactdetails in your account. Looking forward hearing from you. Kind regards to New Zealand

Bad Game Design the Objective of the Puzzle isn't obvious. With no objective, we can't plan ahead, only monkey around till something happens. This makes for poor unengaging gameplay.
"the Objective of the Puzzle isn't obvious." it is to the Kea. It already knows where the food reward is. if WE knew where the food reward was, we of course would do much better at the puzzle.
I am not sure what a Jew Parrot is. I was referring to the Kea. Kea's exist in some Zoos and research establishments but they are an endangered (and heavily protected) species and anyone with a pet one would only have it through smuggling. So I was curious about the video.
I fear this parrot is smarter than me.
Yup, came here to make the same comment.
That parrot is smarter than me.
@Cube 0 And saying that makes you dumb.
@Cube 0 Since you don't know what they can truly do and cannot.

You're not alone,we're so crowded
I adore these birds, they're mischievous like my second born son. I always laugh when I see the kea and compare the way their minds work
You just found a way to be less pissed at him
Wow.
The Kea never uses any force. If it won't go, the Kea will step back and examine the situation again.
Quite a difference with young male humans.
I actually couldn't figure this out before the Kea did.
the Kea had an advantage. it knew exactly where the food reward was before it started. We did not.
Kias are known being so intelligent to use tools to resolve problems, allot like crow. In general parrots are super intelligent birds and i love them so much.
That's quicker than a four year old child.
Plot twist. This is a paid actor. Other birds would fly up to the treats 👀
The kea understands gravity and that access to the treat requires it to roll to the accessible opening at the other end.
Proud to be a Kiwi where even our birds are smarter than some of our politicians 🇳🇿
When people refer to 'bird brain' they must be talking about pigeons, eh?
@@davidcox8961 Pigeons aren't stupid.

In most countries, birds such as pigeons ,are smarter than some of the politicians
A fowl situation to be in.
Amazing
Love these birds. Google - kea moving road cones. 😁
He solved before than me but i couldn't figure out where the food is.
exactly. the bird had a big advantage in solving this.

I strongly prefer ravens. Keas are smart little bastards. They do their best to destroy your car. Ravens show much more respect.

Bad Game Design
the Objective of the Puzzle isn't obvious.
With no objective, we can't plan ahead, only monkey around till something happens.
This makes for poor unengaging gameplay.
Adrian Sue the parrot knows to try disassembly, though. It likely knows how to work through problems like this set up by people.
The objective is to get the food out from the tube.
At the end kea starts to eat.

it is to the Kea. It already knows where the food reward is. if WE knew where the food reward was, we of course would do much better at the puzzle.
um, do you work for a zoo or similar? How do you have a Kea? They are NOT pets.
Glen Be this was at a zoo
fair enough. Sorry, had a brief look at your other videos and it appeared you were a dog trainer so I wondered. thank you for the reply.

Glen Be oops that was autocorrect, I meant to write Kea parrot :) haha
