You’re crazy…that one was like 30ft away. Thanks. Gorgeous 4k and sound. My 8 year old self would’ve melted in disbelief if this was available back then in 1981
I haven't seen tornado footage this good in a while. Gorgeous video quality and splendid tornadoes; not to mention the up close and personal view! You have some crazy determination to get that close dude!
Ironic April 26 1991 the tornado outbreak and 33 years later the same day a bunch of tornadoes great video but so eerie that this happened on the same day Friday
Seeing all the debris fall reminds me of Terrible Tuesday when the tornado hit Wichita Falls Tx. I lived 40 miles away and had things like insulation and bank receipt (and many other things) fall in the yard while going to the storm shelter.
This is an unforgettable day for sure! It was so wild to see these storms just spit out a tornado one after another! Especially when I was watching Ryan Hall. He was just mind blown in a way seeing these storms just constantly putting out tornados. Chasers I bet have a field day. Lol. I would have loved to been apart of that chase. Lol. One day I'm gonna get to go on a chase. One day!! 😅
It was one of the most unique chasing days with how fast a new tornado formed as the previous one was dying. I chase alone usually but I know some chasers take people with them. What state do you live in? If it's in the Midwest it will be easier to get out on a chase of course
Thank you... Depending on the location of the tornadoes there definitely is impact on animals. I have seen deer running from storms for instance on multiple occasions
@@stormchaserjameswilson Trying to imagine a world where we locals are so used to tornadoes we just drive along next to them like nothing's happening, wondering why the dudes in the caged SUV with 31 cameras look so excited. 😂
You should be more worried about the “idiots” who park under and block bridges and underpasses. These guys are out there providing a service and often alert people to the dangers well before any official warnings are issued. Great video James 🙌

Craziest day of the year still, amazing footage man, I remember all these.

Thank you I appreciate it. It was a lot of work to stay with these storms but definitely worth it.

Thank you! That's right it was the same day as Andover and others that day. 🎉

Wow that's crazy. Debris has landed over 200 miles away in some tornadoes.
Incredible footage! Can't believe how close you got to that first tornado.
Thank you! It definitely was intense that close.

The tornado outbreak that hit the central plains that day was a big one
Definitely was!
Great footage! Some monster tornadoes. I often wonder how much livestock is killed by
these big 🌪

That was an absolutely insane day.
Absolutely it was
Oh s*it…that other ones like 15ft away
Lol yes it was! Completely safe at the time though it doesn't seem like it
It's a huge tornado.
Definitely
The way these idiots drive must be a constant source of aggravation to the people in these states. Great video though.
Luckily there are not that many people around the actual tornadoes. Most people avoid them lol
