Thank you. I remember St. Enoch station and hotel, as a child in the 1960s, they looked as if they would be there for ever. Modernisation isn't always improvement.

Where do you get these photos? Well done!! Every time I see the St. Enoch hotel, I wish it was still there instead if the scar that stands in its place. 😢

Strathclyde coming into being was great for Glasgow, all the money got spent there at the expense of everywhere else.

lets think outside the box. the lost of industrie could be by design, by the dare i say it english monarchy. the snp puts in a palestinian out of all the scots. all the new building without the industrie to support it. your administration is being supported by new building and when it stops so does your city. its not just you its all over.@@colinburrowes8063

Thanks. Having seen the St.Enoch Hotel and Station from different angles, it looks like a beautiful place. I wish I had a Time Machine to go back and experience the atmosphere of them. The change in the atmosphere in Edinburgh Waverley Station is huge. It’s been really spoiled by the over modernisation of it. It’s barely recognisable now and it has been robbed of all of its former charm. So far, Glasgow Central is mostly unaffected by modernising just for the sake of it. Queen Street Station wasn’t quite the same as Glasgow Central, but it was ok. But now it’s been ruined too.
