I loved every minute of this. Although I have lived abroad for 40 odd years, Glasgow bred generations of resilient and clever people. I had an education in Glasgow in the 60's and 70's which was second to none. And am very grateful for it. Many of my school friends went on to do great things in the four corners of the world, and also at home. I have taken my sense of humour and love of hard work everywhere, and have only been met with more of the same! Thankyou for the walk down memory lane.

I can tell from your written comment that you had a Scottish education! Like you, I went to school in Glasgow in the 1960s and am grateful for the education I received, and for the teachers who provided it. You mention the sense of humour that was distinctive to Glasgow. I suppose that's all changed now. But as a child I remember how people readily exchanged merry banter with one another. I recall being on a tramcar with my mother and a man saying, "This caur must huv a bad heart, for it's aye stopping and starting!"

The photo at 1:29 is the Manx Bar at Glebe Street. Didn't the Broons live at Glebe Street?

Another great big tick, Colin. As always, loved the music, especially when it is a well known song, or tune. Loved all the pictures, especially the evacuee children and their excited faces! Well done!

Fantastically nostalgic collection as usual. The Queens Park pond photo's just bring back memories of my childhood in Govanhill. Was the Lucy Ashton Rutherglen photo a nod to one of my previous comments? 👍

Your previous comments sparked my interest to find out more about the vessels on the Clyde. The documentary on the 'Clyde Puffers' was excellent.
