    I spent three winters building those pools for the company I was working for. Most people have no idea how much work it took to build that ladder, all by hand.

    Loved this. My father lived in Newcastle for 50+ years. Always heard about the alewives but only saw a glimpse of the ladder. This was beautifully done. Thank you.

    Reallly nice looking fishing ladder, much nicer than the one near our town in MA. Thanks for the overhead shots ( the ladder is obscured by tree leaves in satellite photos) and for sharing this story.
