u know u haven't had human contact in so long when u get uncomfortable in the beginning of the video due to how close kat is to the camera lol
Beatriz Soares Lmao 🤣
Kat is breaking the rules of social distancing!
Yep. I'll own up to being just a li'l bit weirded out -- lol!
U have zero idea, that was one of the most comfortable moments of my life.
U know you’re starved of affection when it doesn’t bother you
kat: read 26 books in march.
me: read 26 fanfics in march.
well at least I read.
to all the books i loved before i found ao3, i'm so sorry
reading is reading!
So relatable ❗👍
omg we've all been there
i am here reading wattpad for 24 hours
the first few seconds feel like a zoom meeting I didn’t prepare for
LMAO
paperbackdreams bru H thanks for responding I’m currently checking out I’m thinking of ending things
i hope u like it!!!
😂
paperbackdreams what the FUCK was that ending
“is it better? i can’t tell.” - Kat, a beautiful human being, sounding like my AP English teacher on my Zoom Class
"would like to read less in the future"...who would've thought
uncharted territories indeed
is she even a booktuber anymore!?
It's something I've had before, when I've sat there and thought "I should stop reading so much junk and try to read something harder"
Matthew Stephenson literally me after spending the whole night reading fanfiction
me: trying to read 24 books in a year
kat: 26 books in one month.
i’m done i give up
YOU'RE DOING GREAT OK
@@paperbackdreams thank you! You are so sweet and your videos really makes me want to read more!
ahaha, me too girl, me too. i literally have my goal set on 26 this year and kat just causally wings that in a month. maan i have a long way to go!
sameee
Lol same!!The only reason I have read 30 books in 4 months is because of Manga or graphic novels
When she said 'bewildering' I had war flashbacks.
u and me both bb
Hey, at least she didn’t murmur it?
Enfys Best murmur is our trigger ☝️
i miss the pre tik tok age where i’d read that many books and my attention span was longer than 20 mins
k k hard same
@@FGSFDS hmmmm after this i need to read more because now im embarrassed. thanks :)
@@catarinasousa1905 I mean to be fair my attention span has gone to shit recently, but hey, working towards reading more is a good goal! We can do it!!
Mia Diiorio yess !!! 🥰
k k that’s why I deleted Tik Tok! I’m now reading more than ever before again :)
Does anyone feel weird after finishing a book and then having to start a new one?
Yeah I finished Carrie and now I’m reading Rose Madder
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
100% !! I hate the feeling of only being a few pages in. I am only completely satisfied when I’m at least half way through. Lmao I’m so weird
Especially when you pick up a new book right after the one you finished ....
But then you are expecting something like the previous book and the cant get through the first chapter because you hate it without reason...
There has to be atleast half a day gap to digest a book before starting a new one...
yesss it feels so weird
me: hearing kat say bewildered
als me: immediatley rewatching both of her fifty shades of grey reviews for the literally 10th time cause they are just so freaking iconic
Where can I find that video? I wanna know her reviews on them too.
"bEWiLdeRiNg" I just can't read that word the same way again, gurl.
every time i say it i have flashbacks lmao
paperbackdreams honestly every time I read it, Idc what author it is it gives me war flashbacks. Whyyyy Kat whyyy?
Celeste Ng got her MFA at Michigan and I saw her give a reading from Everything I Never Told You. I literally have never cried harder in public.
ohhhh my god i would have sobbed so hard too i probs would have ejected a lung
Curious enough,is it good?like I'm hoping to read because,I feel like as a person that's like literally just feel like home I guess to me,like reading the book based on the summary I read about. so,if you have Time please, ring me up anytime!
You: being all amazed by the fact you read more translated work lately
Me, a french person who's been reading practically only translated work since forever: cute, but can't relate
Same here as a German ;)
Fruits basket!!!!!!! can't wait for season 2
@@Anita-nw5ts ohoh hello fellow non-native english speaker!
Same here as a Latina
Same 😂
I’m Kat and that was chaotic ... isn’t that your whole aesthetic? And we love you for it
ok TRUE lol call me out
That's not only an aesthetic, it's a philosophy... Some might even argue it is a school if thought.
“Hopefully it never happens again, I’d actually like to read less in the future” lol the exact opposite problem of mine
let's switch on three. one..two...
I was half looking for a cardigan, half needing coffee when RUclips alerted me to this upload. I am now col, under-caffeinated and Not. Moving. Til I know all about these 26 books 🤷🏼♀️ I don't make the rules.

We do need a however, comma compilation you know.
i like the sound of that. however, that would mean combing through all of my old vids and do i need that hit to my self esteem mAYBE NOT (but also i'll probs just do it anyway because why the heck not lololol)
@@paperbackdreams Am sure we all are looking forward to the compilation and the hit to your self esteem.
barely read many books, but i watch you cuz of the personality
"this is gonna be my longest wrap up"
me: thank you jesus
I started watching Sharp Objects, was loving it, then bought the book, then stopped watching because I wanted to read it first, then life happened. In conclusion, I have neither finished the show or the book.
NOW'S THE TIME
It’s so good!! Finish that ish up!
@@Dawnstar1209 i will, i promise! 🙏🏻😂
Everything about March was long. How do I know? - this wrap up is 31 mins long and I'm living
I am from germany and my grandma lifes in the devilsmoor (Its an actual place) and I NEVER realized how creepy that sounds.
“I really enjoyed it, I gave it three stars.”
I don’t know why but I HOWLED 😂😂

Am I in a zoom lecture right now? Yes. Is watching this while I put myself on mute more important than listening to my class derailing to talk about the pandemic? Also YES.
I keep getting distracted by how perfect your eyebrows are 😂.
Heather Lydia i thought i was the only one! yet here we are! xx
Me too 😂
my quarantine eyebrows are QUAKING
I also read "Little Fires Everywhere" this month after watching the video you vlog it in and I LOVED it. I loved the themes and morals it tackled. I never read anything that tackled adoption in the way it did. Very intriguing read.
I'm both terrified and excited to absorb your entire personality as you put our more content
It is now the middle of June and I am just now getting back into your vids. Missed your humor in these times we are living in right now.
When you’re earlier than the notification
wow
Edit: hopefully it reminds you of somethin' lol

They really do look alike!
Actually makes sense lol
Whenever I'm expecting terrible reading slump the only thing I have to do to get myself back on the track is to watch one of your videos. You talk so passionately about them that makes me want to dive right back into my books...so thanks😊
I love how you are just like: "Loved this, super cute, 3 stars" lol
Sharp objects was great!!! Loved the HBO adaptation too. "Don't tell mama"
I was just SO BORED and bam video drops.
i just read everything i never told you, and i feel the same way. i think it's the focus on being a sister and a daughter that resonated with me.
oooh the deep sounds so good!!!
and you make i'm thinking of ending things sound amazing, def gonna add it to the tbr
they are both SO good you should definitely read them!!!
we love a chaotic intro!! Little Fires Everywhere sounds extremely interesting - I'm *always* on the lookout for more (actually) good Literary Fiction so I'll definitely be checking out both of Celeste Ng's books!
they really should have called the series Barbalien smh
HAH u are so right
yaaaay, I was waiting for your videos, I love the vibes that you give and you're my no 1 motivation for reading..Thank you!!
you radiate the calmest chaotic energy ever and it's so wonderful
_"Other synonyms for that sentiment."_ Ah, the eloquence--lmao!
Ngl, your videos are one of the things in youtube that keep me going those days 😶😶
I love your videos! You do a great job reviewing them! Definitely makes me want to read more.
just finished reading radio silence bc of u and can I just say thank you for your service to humanity for speaking about that book it was everything I never knew I needed
I'm 2 books away from finishing my Goodreads challenge (50 books) and it's still the first half of April. I've failed to reach that goal the entire year last year lol. Quarantine things.
it's the little things lol. silver linings.
I feel like I never hear about I’m Thinking Of Ending Things and it’s so incredible. Like it made me so uncomfortable but in the best way. It’s only 200 pages and I literally had to put it down a couple times bc my anxiety was HIGH
I DID THE SAME THING!!!
I just found your channel and i love it! I actually stopped reading a few months ago because a few things happened in my life lol now i feel inspired to read again thanks to you so thank you ❤️
ok I JUST found I’m Thinking of Ending Things and I was EQUALLY as shook and haven’t stopped thinking of it either and I’m so glad I’ve found your channel because I love all your recommendations (especially the thriller/horror)!!
ALSO did you get your name from Glass Animals song “Black Mambo”?!
“I’m think of ending things” is a must read for everybody!!! It will mess with your head! One of my favorites.
TASTE!
Any trigger warnings for that? 🙈

26?! I'm sorry... 26?! Seriously impressive although I relate on actually wanting to read less. I have been intrigued about I Wish You All The Best so it was great to hear a bit more about it

the limited series adaptation of sharp objects is a fun one
Your videos are so comforting omfg thank u so it's v calming to me

Oh my god, a 31 min long video, THANK YOU
praise the lord, it’s fresh enterntaiment!! thank you for making my breakfast extra special this morning kat
ugh i just love your reviews so much thank u for inspiring me to read more ily
The Netflix adaptation is being handled by the ultimate mindfuck director, Charlie Kaufman. The man understands and portrays the human condition in such a unique way that it's legitimately breathtaking.
26 books. Ohkay...... I need to use my quarantine better.
Bless me
I need you to know that it is such a joy to look for your skeletons in the background of your videos and when I found this one I almost lost it. thank you
hi! i'm a new subscriber & i'm super happy i found your channel bc i just started getting into reading again - i love your energy & personality!!!! i don't know many people that read so having this channel is helping me out a lot ♥️
"I'm Kat, that was chaotic" - new channel tagline
when i read we have always lived in the castle i found myself thinking aw this is sweet its like little women kinda and i still stand by that
I honestly get so excited when I see a new video from you!
Contagious enthusiasm - love it. I've long thought about picking up a Gillian Flynn. Now I'm sure I will do it. Thx for the upload.
happy quarantine y'all. quarantines driving me so crazy i'm rereading a little life rn. also i like ur pants, epic video
thank you! hope you have a good (?) time with a little life!
dude i'm reading a little life too 😔✌️ it's so good but so sad
muting my zoom class to watch kat? it’s more likely than you think
uwu but also gO LEARN OMG
As someone who adores Paper Girls, it actually doesn't change as you keep reading! It's a very fast-paced story & more of an adventure plot without very much quiet time to learn about any of the characters. It's gorgeous and interesting, but not super deep.
I'm SO happy you liked I'm thinking of ending things! It's my fav thriller and everyone I've ever talked to hates it. I'll definitely have to check out the audiobook.
the ending of the audio is sO FUCKING GOOD yes!!!
“the ice planet barbarian version of hardin scott” well there’s a sentence i never thought i’d hear
*Plans to read a book after hrs of procrastination*
Kat's new video comes out..
"Yeah, I'll read it later"
I finished radio silence AND I LOVE IT A FAV can't thank you enough! and now i'm reading the raven boys also LOVING IT. i will read every book you consider a favorite from now on!
ahhh i'm so happy to hear that!
Thank you for your review of The Butterfly Garden!!! That's exactly what I thought when I read it in December and I felt so alone!
Kat: talks about how good and Fun a book was Also Kat: I gave it 3 stars
hiiiii!!!! i just found your channel as this whole quarantine thing has fueled my desire to dedicate more time to reading and was looking for good book recs and
1 - your personality is hilarious and authentic and i truly wish i could be friends with you because omfg you're just great
2 - buying books can get pretty expensive. i tried the kindle thing but it doesn't satisfy the same way as hard copies. do you have a hookup for getting books, doesn't look like you get the from a library, or do you truly spend the retail price on all of your books?
3 - do you keep all of your books or have a way you donate/re-sell them? i have a huge collection of books i'll honestly never re-read and i don't know a purposeful way to upcycle them.
I read I'm Thinking Of Ending Things in December and it really broke my mind. I totally see why some people hated it, but I LOVED it. I wasn't sure what to think at the beginning, but the vague synopsis was very accurate in my case. I was on edge and anxious, and I had no clue why. Hearing you talk about it has reminded me about that experience. I really hope I can find another book with similar vibes because I need it.
I agree with your thoughts on I Wish You All the Best! I enjoyed it, but as I look back on it I don’t know if I enjoyed it as much as I thought I did/wanted to. Also, every single time I watch your videos I get into the mood to read thrillers 😂 Not a bad thing though, because those are so much fun! ☺️
