I thought the police were pretty calm and cordial in this video. And it seems the officers weren’t a 100% sure of the exact laws on electric scooters. So instead of insisting on his knowledge of electric bicycle he called another officer in his local district about the previous stop the motorist was mentioning. Also, if he removed his pedals, where was his chain that his pedals connected to? If you look closely at the bike you will clearly notice it is an electric powered scooter (thing probably weighs 200lbs, bicycle lol). That’s one of the reasons he was intentionally not filming it. The video ends soon after you get a glimpse of the bike, with no additional info into the end result. Police did their job and this dumb motorist makes electric cyclists(and skateboarders) look bad. Pull out some moped law and leave e-bikes out of this. Don’t know what this has to do with IQ though, figure ur using it as dumb cop but I don’t understand why in this video. Please elaborate

Technically... THIS is illegaly detaining this man and impeding him from going about his business. NO LAW WAS BROKEN FOR THIS OFFICER TO DETAIN THIS MAN!
cops are legally allowed to be wrong. the cop was completely correct when he said the stop was valid because he had believed a violation had occurred. Once the officer found out reliably that a violation had not occurred he was done with the stop, but this guy wouldn't let it go. Now, that's rightfully so because he felt the cops were trying to deny his constitutional rights and illegally detain him. Yeah, the cop should have just said, "thankyou for the information, I am now better informed. Enjoy the rest of your day" and then left.
when he said “I would never go out not knowing my rights or laws” instead of saying that would be bad of him he should’ve said “that would make me a cop” 🤣
Mate, theres a lot to criticise here, but parking a patrol car in a recognised technique to protect the officers and the person stopped on the road isn't one of them. Having the patrol parked like it means that traffic coming up from behind slows down and has to go wide round reduces the chance of people being taken out and potentially killed. You could argue why he stopped the guy there in what seems to be an approach to a bridge, sure, and they probably should have had the scooters rider get over the bridge and past the roadside barriers on the other side , but once the scooter rider stops the need to protect against potential collision from traffic come before anything else.
@@user-uy6uc5ey5q , ya, I understand what you are saying. However most if not all police cars, if not all of them, have external speakers to tell him to go past the bridge. But even that would be unnecessary if he would have just waited to pull him over. I believe that he did create an unsafe situation.
@@imnotarobot3600 I agree, hence why i wrote basically exactly that in my last sentence. But we don't know what happened before the video starts, maybe the scooter rider just stopped and got off, ignoring the instruction to get off the bridge approach, hence why the patrol car has to block park. We don't know, we are essentially critiquing unknown circumstances, and there plenty of other stuff that you can see and hear which is a fair criticism. I lived in the States till a few years ago (before moving back to my native NZ) and knew a few people involved running rural counties/small cities in California and Oregon,(including how poorly Police officers are trained on average in the US - the average training of a officer across the US is 18 weeks,0 often the patrol cars aren't as well equipped as larger cities police depts are and its more than possible there was no outside speakers on the car. Of the stuff to get upset about in the video the block parking doesn't make the top 15 to my mind.

Because as long as they can still give directives they are still in charge and therefore can't possibly be in the wrong. It's absolutely an ego thing. It's not just the "bad officers" who are "few and far between" like they try to claim when one gets caught.

We need to sue for compensation when they waste our time because of their ignorance and make us teach them what they should already know. I never heard an apology from the cops for being ignorant argumentative asses. Don't cops have computers in their cruisers and phones they could look up the law with? Don't they have access to a lawyer they could call for legal advice? *The ENTIRE SYSTEM is corrupt to the bone* 1) SYSTEMIC CORRUPTION - Local Police Academies Police Officers Police Chief Police Review Boards DAs / Prosecutors Judges City Council City Attorneys Jails 1B) Appeal Courts - Local & Regional County State Regional *Abolish Street police* thefreethoughtproject.com/abolishing-police-force-crazy/ Police (especially municipal police) receive substandard training in the law & Constitution at the police academies and *ARE TAUGHT to violate the Constitution.* Otherwise we have MANY egomaniac cops that are on a power Trip and need to find another line of work because *they believe that the ends justify the means.* These cops give ALL cops a bad name and bad image, ultimately costing lives and respect. *Why are police allowed to lie in non- undercover traffic stops about our rights & the law?* I think what angers the populace the most is when *police investigate themselves and find nothing wrong because it's "within (CORRUPT) policy".* Until cops police themselves FIRST, the public will continue to have contempt for anyone in a uniform wearing a badge view them as a gang - *a for profit criminal enterprise of ROAD PIRATES* working for their communist Bankster NWO masters. One way to solve the problem is to hold the cops accountable for their actions - with: *UNPAID time off for violations* *3 strikes and your off street detail* *Malpractice insurance that costs cops money & threatens their career - just like lawyers & medical professionals, etc.* *Mandatory Citizen Review Boards* *Mandatory criminal charges for excessive force* *Mandatory body cameras* Perhaps judgements against police should be *paid from retirement accounts* instead of taxpayer dollars to encourage cops to police each other and stop escalation & abuse of power. Letting cops simply resign without any criminal charges (and not being fired) for excessive force and get hired 1 town over needs to END. This perpetuates the problem. It is similar to letting priests who rape children just move to another area without punishment. Bad cops need to be weeded out along with supervisors, captains & police chiefs who cover for them. *Conspiracy charges* need to be applied MUCH more often to law enforcement to punish Systemic corruption. Citizen review boards need to be MANDATORY to provide transparency, also to discourage the blue line US vs Them gang mentality & Freemasonic cover-ups. GOVERMENT PRIVILEGE *When the Goverment is wrong,* nobody is accountable - nobody pays a personal price - carry on business as usual *When a citizen is wrong,* we almost ALWAYS pay a price - fines, jail time, points on license, increased insurance rates, loss of employment, records that follow us. *When the police do what organized crime does, they call it good policing.* *When organized crime does what the police do, they call it Extortion, Assault, Kidnapping, Murder, etc.* Law enforcement NEEDS to fear civil rights violations on a PERSONAL AND GROUP level. Right now, police can LITERALLY get away with civil rights violations & murder without paying a price. 6-8 months of training is NOT enough when citizen lives are on the line. Police academies need to be completely overhauled. Police do not know enough about the law, ESPECIALLY Constitutional law. A 2 year Constitutional law degree should be necessary to be a street cop - BEFORE they ever train with weapons & hands on tactics *Why is ignorance of the law a valid defense for police but not citizens?* thinkprogress.org/supreme-court-says-ignorance-of-the-law-is-an-excuse-if-youre-a-cop-d8bdb99987f1/ This needs to be reversed ASAP. *Citizens are held to a Higher standard than law enforcement,* which is completely backwards! The other piece of the puzzle is *City Councils passing unconstitutional ordinances & policies,* and then Police Chiefs & top brass (who SHOULD know better) enFORCE those unconstitutional "laws". *Do the city attorney, Sheriff and Police Chief review the ordinances BEFORE they are passed to ensure they are Constitutional?* Maybe City Attorneys should lose their license to practice law or lose their jobs if they don't correctly WARN council members of unconstitutional ordinances that they want to institute. Same with a police chief - accountability should start with the policy makers & top brass. *Law enFORCEment should tell the city council they REFUSE to enFORCE unconstitutional ordinances & policies (such as cursing in public & prohibition of filming police on duty) and threaten to arrest council members who vote for unconstitutional edicts already decided by the supreme Court. *DAs should REFUSE to prosecute unconstitutional ordinances & policies,* and *judges should throw them out of court* We always hear about an officer's actions being "within policy". Who makes/approves that Policy? Who ensures the policy is Constitutional? Police policies should be reviewed by Constitutional lawyers and groups, not just by members of the SYSTEM. Why are police departments, municipalities, & the State allowed to profit from civil asset forfeiture? That encourages corruption! Police AND military take an oath to *protect and defend the CONSTITUTION* against enemies foreign and domestic - the oath does NOT say to protect the people or the country! The Constitution is supposed to protect we the people from tyranny, especially from the "authorities". The OATH is designed to *protect our RIGHTS & LIBERTIES,* NOT national security or personal security believe it or not... Even seemingly intelligent and educated people have trouble understanding PLAIN ENGLISH due to prejudice and misconceptions. Don't take my word for it, here's a constitutional expert giving her opinion on the Oath of Office: KrisAnne Hall ruclips.net/video/Kow04ntcIPA/видео.html In reality, police have taken an OATH to arrest anyone trying to subvert the CONSTITUTION and prevent anyone from trampling our RIGHTS protected by the Constitution (especially other cops), because ignoring bad laws is not good enough. Problem is, they work for a *for-profit franchise corporation called a city,* which pass multitudes of unconstitutional "laws" (ordinances - sounds like a religion, right?). So *their paycheck DEPENDS upon following and enforcing unconstitutional ordinances under "the color of law".* The cognitive dissonance is STRONG here, and the cops are not smart enough to figure that out or perceptive enough to see it. *Supreme court rules hiring of lower IQ cops OK, barring high IQ applicants* abcnews.go.com/US/court-oks-barring-high-iqs-cops/story?id=95836 People have no respect for cops or the law because too often the cops have no respect for the people or the Constitution. Sometimes police do seem to get involved in petty things but they also put their lives at risk every day. The fact that you think 100k is a lot tells me your probably wasting tax payer money buying candy at the gas station with your EBT card. See? They don't get it just how stupid they look. Just want cash out of you for wasting time there. The bicyclist tho want's a harrassment charge so can get a better ride. We all have things to do.
For some strange reason, some of these officers fail to realize that they ARE public servants. So when they are asked for business cards, they're not supposed to brush it off and retort back THEY want to see I.D. This is not in any way behaving like a public servant, this is behaving like they're in charge of us.
Why do I notice time after time it becomes about ego and being right or not admitting wrong? In my profession I deal with the public every day, and upper management always reminds us it's not about being right, it's about solving issues..... You'd think law enforcement, which has much higher levels of responsibility, could master the the same skillset. If not maybe they shouldn't carry deadly weapons.
the way to back this up is the people in this nation learn how to hold these people accountable for interference. they all have to have a bond to be and officer, attorney, judge or any man or woman the is employed in the judicial system. yes it is a system and they can be sued.
I do not feel bad for him at all. He just learned a lesson today. Well informed citizens are not going to lay down to them. He just learned who he really works for.

Technically... THIS is illegaly detaining this man and impeding him from going about his business. NO LAW WAS BROKEN FOR THIS OFFICER TO DETAIN THIS MAN!
what ? the cops never detained him. Cops can pull you over for any reason these days unfortunately.
cops are legally allowed to be wrong. the cop was completely correct when he said the stop was valid because he had believed a violation had occurred.
@@shinjisan2015 not knowing the law as a LEO and unlawfully stopping someone is called negligence and it absolutely is against the law.
when he said “I would never go out not knowing my rights or laws” instead of saying that would be bad of him he should’ve said “that would make me a cop” 🤣
He parked his car in the travel lane of a no passing zone. So who is in the wrong here.
D they don’t even identify themselves, and you still defend them? How many times he ask for identification? When someone refuses to say who they’re, there is a problem, especially when they want to harm you physically or financially
@@ducksauce2746 give you a tip, when someone writes, "there's a lot to criticise here," it can't be described as "defending them". As you seem to lack basic comprehension skills what's the point of engaging with you?

“Do you have any ID on you?”

Exactly. Same as a con on the street asking for a cigarette. Both are actually just trying to get a foot in the door
The police were right to stop this motorist. He was riding an electric scooter/moped without registration (as the cop stated in the beginning of this video). The motorist was claiming that he was riding an electric bicycle and reading laws that apply to bicycles. However he states that he removed the pedals and was operating the bike under throttle. This changes the classification of the vehicle from bicycle to scooter/moped (which have different laws that apply to them). Moreover, looking at this bike (in my opinion) I don’t think it ever had pedals as it looks like an out of the box electric moped (notice the part near the end where the officer asks where are the pedals? Where is the chain?). These are telltale signs that this was most likely never a bicycle in the first place. These officers were doing their jobs and displayed professional demeanor during the stop (not cursing or telling him to shut up). If you don’t want to be stopped by the police follow the rules of the laws.

Why do American police love to lecture people even when they are wrong.
Is just about abuse of power
They do this because of stupidity
American ego
Because as long as they can still give directives they are still in charge and therefore can't possibly be in the wrong. It's absolutely an ego thing. Ever wonder why they don't allow public access to police training materials? They train them this way. It's not just the "bad officers" who are "few and far between" like they try to claim when one gets caught.
Sentient being 😂😂
How to harass, be ignorant and arrogant, claim laws that don't apply, ignore legitimate requests by citizen, delay and obfuscate and then make the citizen prove their innocence in face of a bullying.
@Aaron John Yes, pretty much. You summed it up rather nicely.
Guilty until proven innocent!
Very well put.
That's classic police work 101
We need to sue for compensation when they waste our time because of their ignorance and make us teach them what they should already know. I never heard an apology from the cops for being ignorant argumentative asses. Don't cops have computers in their cruisers and phones they could look up the law with? Don't they have access to a lawyer they could call for legal advice?

*Abolish Street police*
thefreethoughtproject.com/abolishing-police-force-crazy/
Police (especially municipal police) receive substandard training in the law & Constitution at the police academies and *ARE TAUGHT to violate the Constitution.* Otherwise we have MANY egomaniac cops that are on a power Trip and need to find another line of work because *they believe that the ends justify the means.* These cops give ALL cops a bad name and bad image, ultimately costing lives and respect.
*Why are police allowed to lie in non- undercover traffic stops about our rights & the law?*
I think what angers the populace the most is when *police investigate themselves and find nothing wrong because it's "within (CORRUPT) policy".*
Until cops police themselves FIRST, the public will continue to have contempt for anyone in a uniform wearing a badge view them as a gang - *a for profit criminal enterprise of ROAD PIRATES* working for their communist Bankster NWO masters.
One way to solve the problem is to hold the cops accountable for their actions - with:
*UNPAID time off for violations*
*3 strikes and your off street detail*
*Malpractice insurance that costs cops money & threatens their career - just like lawyers & medical professionals, etc.*
*Mandatory Citizen Review Boards*
*Mandatory criminal charges for excessive force*
*Mandatory body cameras*
Perhaps judgements against police should be *paid from retirement accounts* instead of taxpayer dollars to encourage cops to police each other and stop escalation & abuse of power.
GOVERMENT PRIVILEGE
*When the Goverment is wrong,* nobody is accountable - nobody pays a personal price - carry on business as usual
*When a citizen is wrong,* we almost ALWAYS pay a price - fines, jail time, points on license, increased insurance rates, loss of employment, records that follow us.
*When the police do what organized crime does, they call it good policing.*
*When organized crime does what the police do, they call it Extortion, Assault, Kidnapping, Murder, etc.*
Law enforcement NEEDS to fear civil rights violations on a PERSONAL AND GROUP level. Right now, police can LITERALLY get away with civil rights violations & murder without paying a price.
6-8 months of training is NOT enough when citizen lives are on the line. Police academies need to be completely overhauled. Police do not know enough about the law, ESPECIALLY Constitutional law.
A 2 year Constitutional law degree should be necessary to be a street cop - BEFORE they ever train with weapons & hands on tactics
*Why is ignorance of the law a valid defense for police but not citizens?*
thinkprogress.org/supreme-court-says-ignorance-of-the-law-is-an-excuse-if-youre-a-cop-d8bdb99987f1/
This needs to be reversed ASAP.
*Do the city attorney, Sheriff and Police Chief review the ordinances BEFORE they are passed to ensure they are Constitutional?*
Maybe City Attorneys should lose their license to practice law or lose their jobs if they don't correctly WARN council members of unconstitutional ordinances that they want to institute.
*DAs should REFUSE to prosecute unconstitutional ordinances & policies,* and *judges should throw them out of court*
We always hear about an officer's actions being "within policy".
Don't take my word for it, here's a constitutional expert giving her opinion on the Oath of Office:
KrisAnne Hall
ruclips.net/video/Kow04ntcIPA/видео.html
In reality, police have taken an OATH to arrest anyone trying to subvert the CONSTITUTION and prevent anyone from trampling our RIGHTS protected by the Constitution (especially other cops), because ignoring bad laws is not good enough.
Problem is, they work for a *for-profit franchise corporation called a city,* which pass multitudes of unconstitutional "laws" (ordinances - sounds like a religion, right?). So *their paycheck DEPENDS upon following and enforcing unconstitutional ordinances under "the color of law".*
The cognitive dissonance is STRONG here, and the cops are not smart enough to figure that out or perceptive enough to see it.
*Supreme court rules hiring of lower IQ cops OK, barring high IQ applicants*
abcnews.go.com/US/court-oks-barring-high-iqs-cops/story?id=95836
People have no respect for cops or the law because too often the cops have no respect for the people or the Constitution. Waay too many "laws" violate the Constitution.
Respect is a 2-way street and respect is EARNED, not demanded.
If NOTHING changes, the problem will only get worse and the MAJORITY of the public will grow to HATE EVERY COP in uniform. Then the cops will see the public as an even bigger threat than they already do, snowballing the divisiveness.
Just what we need: cops no longer swearing an OATH to protect and defend the Constitution!

The only crime here is having a flip-phone in 2019 :)
I have a flip phone due to that it is my PHONE. I don't want a web browser with me. My phone doesn't crack. Flip phones are being reissued in 2019-2020 because of these same reasons. Most people simply want a phone.
@@groovydjs It was meant as a joke but carrying a flip-phone could almost be considered "criminal" since they're favoured by drug dealers. "Most people simply want a phone" is complete nonsense. Have you been in a store in the last 10 years? There's like 800 smart phones and 2 flip-phones. If most people just wanted a phone the market would reflect that.
@@debunkthejunk1 I live in a city where the median age is 67 , there is no phone store here and I can't remember the last time I've seen anything other than a flip phone. Must be the part of the world you live in.
@@groovydjs It's probably just confirmation bias on your part. Even among Boomers flip phones are the minority. In terms of global sales it was less than 10% in 2018 (can't find video I heard this in). There is a growing demand but it's not anywhere near "most". Even if it continues to grow with all of the aps people rely on to pay bills, turn on the lights, do banking, the demand for flip-phones will never get to the point they are "most" of the cell phone market.
