While having 192 GB of ram could be good for large simulations, I think it would be overkill for me and less likely to be stable and have tight timings. I plan on going with the F5-6400J3239F24GX2-TZ5NR which are pretty much the same except 24GB per stick and they are single rank. The MB I have X870 Tomahawk should be able to run them at 6000 M/t without issues and possibly 6400. The MB says 6400 should work assuming they are single rank. If I did good in the silicon lottery, I may be able to get the flck to run at 2133, which would be great. 2066 is almost a sure thing and in that case I'd back the RAM to 6200 M/t.
Currently I have the CORSAIR Vengeance RGB 192GB (4 x 48GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 5200 (PC5 41600) running at stock speed. I run the ram at the speed the CPU and MB " trained it at " and I haven't had any issues with the ram. My system is very responsive. If I had known there was a non-RGB version of the kit ; I would of gotten that set but this was the first 192-gb ram kit I found after I got my ProArt X670-E Creator Wifi MB. I have the Ryzen 9 7950X3D CPU , GPU is the MSI Radeon RX 7900XTX. I bought each part one at a time after saving up for them. Only the MB wasn't changed out from when I switched to AM5 from AM4. I'm very happy with my system and plan to keep it as is for now.
With this motherboard and the nice target of msi objective to tighten memory timings you could target higer oc and tighter memory timings. Msi new boards right now does not just intresting things in the Bios on all platforms but they try to be more memory/cpu oc clocking friendly what i saw in the last weeks. The thing is Msi personally revealed you can do 6400 and 192 gb what is suprising as of today and would be nice you can do prove that as well.
@@TpIcap The Carbon could be possible but the x870 tomahawk i don't know. Hardcore overclockers with Tomahawks found some limits or issues because the vrm phases are very different from x870e parts and the vscoc behaivour maybe too and others. x870e Carbon and Godlike should share many behaivours by overklocking stuff. I wish i could tell the difference better with carbon and Godlike but nobody i know have both of the great boards that even i considered to buy.
Aside from the cost and effort to reach stability, are there any actual trade offs gaming with 192GB on AMD? (workstation/gaming rig setup). I'm assuming lower clocked ram but AMD doesnt like higher clocked ram anwyay, right? Or is the real issue latency with such large capacity ram? If you did any gaming benchmarks, please share!
assuming i'm using the crosshair X870E hero and two identical corsair 2x48gb kits of ram from corsair (specifically their CL40-56 7000mts dominator titanium). do you think just following your loose timings (48-48-48-103) would just work out of the box for 6000mts on that configuration? its the kit of ram i can get a hold of locally which should have high quality flash chips (i can also get a hold of 2x48gb G.Skill CL36-39 6400mts but these kits are only available in white which doesn't fit my build that well). which would be easier to run at 6000-6400mts between these two kits? i would assume that maybe because the dominator has much looser timings and is capable of higher OC speed it would be easier to run stable at 6400mts? though i understand its not as simple as it sounds lol

I use the kingbank 6400mhz 192g with MSI x670e toma and 9950x. With the unreleased testing bios,I can just open the EXPO and get into the system and pass the stress testing
File servers using the ZFS file system, running multiple virtual machines, video editing, 3d modelling etc etc that kind of stuff. I have 128GB in my Threadripper 3000 series server and that's more than enough for tons of docker containers, Home Assistant vm, Pi-hole vm and a gaming vm with 32GB ram assigned to it and a 20TB file server using ZFS (which loves all the ram it can get). 192GB is way too much for general desktop or gaming usage.
hello please help me I have purchased an MSI MEG GODLIKE X870 motherboard along with a Ryzen 9950X CPU and Crucial Pro DDR5 RAM (96GB Kit, 2x48GB, 5600MHz, Intel XMP 3.0, CP2K48G56C46U5). Currently, I can only use two RAM sticks, and the system works fine with them. However, when I add the other two RAM sticks, the system does not boot. I have tried installing all four RAM sticks according to the instructions, but the issue persists. To troubleshoot, I have already updated the BIOS to the latest version provided by MSI. Despite this, the problem remains unresolved. I would appreciate guidance on why the system cannot boot with all four RAM sticks installed and what additional steps I can take to fix this.
I am debating between the tomahawk and the X870E Taichi which one should I get money isn't a issue will be mainly used for gaming. The Nova is sold out here.
Do you have issues restarting windows with the Godlike? I get the error code “CPU & DDR” on the display when I reboot in Windows. This is using 2x48GB G.Skill. It boots from cold fine, stable in Karhu and OCCT several hours. “Shutdown” is fine but “Reboot” gets that error.
Is your display showing things correctly? It might be that problem with the data loss that is becoming a known issue with the Godlike. I ran into that issue and it requires a tool that fixes the data for the EZ Bridge.
@@GameTechReviews It's not a problem with the Dynamic Display because it works fine normally (fresh boot and loading the custom images/videos from Windows). I saw the post regarding the Firmware / Data updates, I did not update it since I didn't run into the same display issues as some of those forum users. I just ran through Memtest86 and Memtest86+, all Pass.
Bro I was able to get 4x16 listed on my qvl single rank. No tweaks, just enabled expo at 6000 and booted. Stable as heck. Tweaking timing is very confusing for me

@@Slyclientthetechdad It's rated at 4000MHz. It's literally said in the name of the device "Dual Data Rate Gen 5". Which is 8000MT/s. That's why when UCLK=MEMCLK is equal to it's 4000MHz. The MEMCLK or memory clock is 4000MHz. Hope it helps you understand better for your future OC. Also. For Ryzen 4000MHz = performance loss. As the UCLK=MEMCLK/2. And the FLCK cannot keep up properly with the speed
@@Slyclientthetechdad Yes. 2 or 4 sticks at 8000MT/s will make you lose performance. You need 6000MT/s kit in order to have UCLK matching MEMCLK. And FCLK matching is sweet spot of 2000MHz. Just in case. For finding an ideal clock. It works by ratio. If you can set everything to the same ratio it's great. For AM4. It's possible. DDDR4 running at 1600MHz. FCLK running at 1600MHz. UCLK running at 1600MHz. It's 1:1:1: ratio. For DDR5 it will be UCLK=MEMCLK and FCLK=MEMCLK (in MT/S) divided by 3. So if you have a 4800MT/s kit (which is terrible) best settings is UCLK=MEMCLK=2400MHz and FCLK=1600MHz. BCLK= Motherboard clock FCLK= Infinity Fabric Frequency clock UCLK= Uncore clock (should match MEMCLK) ECLK= Asynchronous clock (usually on Asus motherboard only) MEMCLK= RAM clock (in MHz) 1MHz = 2MT/s for RAM.

Bro stop being dumb. I swear people with money seem to have lower IQ than others most of the time. 9000 series have kinda identical 7000 series IO. DDR5 on both Intel and AMD isn't made for 4 sticks. Both AMD and Intel struggle more than dual rank RAM (like 48GB modules). And the UCLK doesn't like being over 3000MHz. And the FCLK doesn't like being over 2000MHz. Anything deviating from that is pire luck/silicon lottery. Or pure OS corruption Speedrun. Just get a Ryzen CPU. Use 2 sticks. At 3000MHz. With UCLK at 3000MHz. And FCLK at 2000MHz. Simple.

What speeds your 192GB kit is running? 5200 with XMP?
So that ram kit works well with the 7000 aeries but the newer ryzen 9000 does not play well with it… so thia video has lots of value

The onboard memory test is not worth doing it unless. Use tm5 in Windows if you want to know if the memory is stable.

You have to wait for the RAM to train. Code 15 means memory training. 192gb takes several minutes (more than 6 minutes) for it to train the 1st time.
