I love the video❤️❤️❤️❤️ I think your progress is amazing and realistic at the same time. I use to get so stressed and demotivated as a beginner when I would see videos of people speaking rapid fire Spanish and claiming to have learned it in a month. I thought I was stupid or doing something wrong 🤦🏾♀️
Hi Ikenna, your progress is very impressive! I'm learning Spanish for 5 months now and your videos are really motivating (and fun!). Greetings from the Netherlands ;)
Its great to see how much you learned about spanish and in a really short time, but there is a little thing you need to know: countries have their own ways and words to speak spanish. If you keep chatting with people from a lot of spanish speaking countries, ask them about some words of their country or about the way they speak. Ask them about if they speak spanish faster, slower, gesticulating with their hands (im argentinian, I know about what im talking) and you can also listen to music in spanish. You got some covers of famous england and american songs and also a lot of great spanish speaking bands (I love "Soda Stereo" from Argentina). Good luck with your journey ♥
Ikenna, you are such an inspiration and a prime example that if you want something you will do it and nothing will stop you! I wish you the best with your health, you’re a beast so I know you will overcome it all! Thank you for all you do and inspiring us 🙌🏽
The iTalki class method is exactly how all of my best classes go! That's why I usually stick with higher energy teachers who just keep asking me things this way I think my 30 minutes is worth it, I only take 30 min classes because my brain doesn't work well after 30 minutes. In a sense these iTalki classes are like my exams, whatever I learned on my own during the week or the days before the class I hope to use them during the class. I don't really expect a lot from the tutors in terms of spoon feeding stuff to me because I feel like it's a waste of money because I could easily look those up on my own except when I'm lost in my research and really need to ask a native speaker then I ask those questions during the class! Thank you for the insight
I’m very proud and I’m a kid and would love to follow in your steps to learn new languages starting off with Japanese and Spanish but your work really gives me self-esteem :) thank you :)

Hi, I’m half Japanese and half American, but I never got taught Japanese. I started a bit ago and I can read Hiragana and Katakana. You are very inspirational, keep up with the good work!
I feel you on the too shy to jump in in vrchat, I always hop into Japanese severs then think after a bit of shying around that maybe I get better before I do this, also the fact that you are assumed to be a weeb if you learn Japanese is a real downer as I’ve never watched anime
That’s the only thing that annoys me about having an interest in Japanese as a language and the Japanese culture, is that people always assume I’m learning because of anime. I’ve watched anime before and I really like it but it’s not even close to the main reason I’m learning everything lol.
@Jakoby ! I’ve always been confident about it, but thanks for that regardless haha. Learning Japanese kinda feels like a spectrum sometimes, in the sense that on one end you have the ultra obsessed weebs and on the other end you’ve got people who are learning Japanese for learnings sake. But many people automatically assume that pretty much anyone who’s learning Japanese is a super obsessed weeb. I just don’t really wanna be put into the same category as them is all, only because that’s just simply not how I am. But like you said “don’t let other judgement get in the way” and I’ve been following that for awhile. Have fun learning Korean bro, hope it goes well for you!
@Jakoby ! I 100% agree, I’ve got respect for anyone who’s put the time and effort into learning any other language. I’ve personally put time into Spanish, French, Japanese and Korean so I respect the effort from anyone else. I’ve also used anime as a way to get input as well and I’ll always advocate for that as a decently reliable source for learning Japanese.

You are literally my role model. I would love to learn multiple languages. I speak Spanish but I’m a pocha so it’s not always natural even though it’s my mothers language. You’re amazing and hope you recovery swiftly !
Whats a pocha ?
@@akemdam9824It’s a term often used by Mexican or Central Americans. It is used to describe a first generation kids of immigrant parents. When have had a white washed upbringing in culture and language. I speak Spanish but if I went to visit my mothers land they’d be able to tell I wasn’t from there.
As a native Spanish speaker myself, I can say that his Spanish pronunciation is stupidly good since pretty early
I agree with you.
Cool
2:08 is pure 金, It has been almost 4 years since I started learning English, I discovered your channel some months ago, and I love it. The way you are and a lot of the experiences you have told us are incredibly relatable, I have been in similar situations when it comes to language learning, and felt like you lots of times. I heard in one of your videos that you studied japanese when you were 15 and that made me realize I wanted to learn more languages. Right now I'm 15 and know Spanish, English and a little Japanese (It has been 3 months studying it daily) Btw I'm also INFJ 🤜

Keep resting and healing, man! You've got this 💪❤
Hi Ikenna, your progress is very impressive!
Thank you for all you do and inspiring us 🙌🏽
Bro lets goooo, just one word. Excelente
We hope your health gets better
Congratulations! I've been learning Japanese for almost a year but I'm no where fluent!
Same. Been studying for almost 2 years and I still need a translator to get somewhere in a conversation lol
Japanese takes like 7 years for fluency but good luck my friend I believe in you!
Just tried to sound that out in my head, remembered that I can read Korean, not Japanese.
@@farahtheegreat1605 It doesn't, it's all about how much input you take in each day.
@@Dostendite Yeah but it will still take a really long time.
I’ve been waiting for this! Haven’t seen the video yet but I remember you starting you Spanish journey! LETS SEE MAN!
I’m very proud and I’m a kid and would love to follow in your steps to learn new languages starting off with Japanese and Spanish but your work really gives me self-esteem :) thank you :)

Grande Ikenna
You are doing amazing, and in 5 months too?! When I first came to the US it took me around two years to be able to understand English. You are a true inspiration
In my opinion, even what you did is amazing!! As I've learned different languages, I've come to realize how hard and annoying learning English can be to non-English speakers. So give yourself a pat on the back for learning a language like English within two years, that's amazing!! At least to me it is. 😁
@@TalisaHwang thank you so much, it was such a challenging stage in my life so it means a lot! You should be proud of yourself for learning new languages, and I know you’ll master English if you haven’t already 💫
@@sofiag3808 🤣English is my native language, but I learn new things about English that I didn't know pretty often. I've studied Korean for about 5 years now, and I started learning Chinese 5 months ago... I'll try to be more proud of myself, and you should too!! 😇💕
@@TalisaHwang I’m so proud of you, I want to learn Japanese and Korean, but Korean seems so hard to pronounce. You’ve learned one of the hardest languages so please be proud of yourself!
@@sofiag3808 thank you so much~ and I'll say this. As long as you put your mind to it, you can learn anything!! So try your best not to get hung up on something being called the hardest _____ in the world. Just go for it my friend~ 😁
You should do a video about how your app is coming along because I've been really excited to see you talk about it and can't wait to get it released.

Amazing progress man. I've been following your journey with Spanish with my own journey in Chinese as we started around the same time. Your Spanish is definitely better than my Chinese but I'm inspired to keep going. Keep up the great work, Ikenna!
It's amazing how you been able to reach this level of Spanish in a few months, especially because this language sometimes it's hard for a Native speaker too, there's a lot of accents and words that are different in every country, I'm going to do some of the things that helped you to learn Spanish but with English!
Congratz bro, you keep inpiring me to learn new languages! Hope you get 100% with your body soon! Hugs from Brazil!
Voy a recomendar tu canal a varios amigos míos. Saludos desde México.
Hi, I’m half Japanese and half American, but I never got taught Japanese. I started a bit ago and I can read Hiragana and Katakana. You are very inspirational, keep up with the good work!
You’re an inspiration to us all ikenna. Praying for you.
I feel you on the too shy to jump in in vrchat, I always hop into Japanese severs then think after a bit of shying around that maybe I get better before I do this, also the fact that you are assumed to be a weeb if you learn Japanese is a real downer as I’ve never watched anime
I know right?? People call me a weeb all the time just because i'm learning japanese, it sucks 😔
You are a real inspiration, Ikena! Thank you for your videos!
Wish all the best for you man , God bless
Very interesting method of study. Thanks for sharing. I hope you are well.
Let’s goooo congrats!!
Your Spanish is so good, I wish I could speak English like you,
I love your dedication bro, you'll perfect it eventually
i spent a month in spain with a nice spanish family (was supposed to be there for 8 but i had to leave early sadly). honestly getting myself to open my mouth to speak was the hardest part, but know i needed to to talk with them helped a lot with just getting over that fear. it also helped i wasnt in a big city where english was spoken bc tourists so i had to use spanish everywhere every day with little english aid. my spanish was ok with listening and reading when i got there, but even that month of just being kidna lost and needing to force myself helped me so much
