It is not so easy as you think underground man.
Those who HIGHLIGHT beauty are very important also - which is why TEACHERS are so important. They have the sensibility to MAKE CONNECTIONS and offer
their discoveries in a COHERENT WAY.
A work of art without someone to indicate that it EXISTS - dies!!!
The creative process and the exposition of all art
in ANY form must be seen
      to live.
Not everything is "original" - but the appreciation of it - and the particular way it is shown IS original.
The person who put this together did a great job!

The films of Akira Kurosawa fascinate me because they’re all so different in tone and genre but they all ask the same questions like „What is honor?“, „What does it mean to be mortal?“, „What are we fighting for in this endless battle called life?“ and I think that’s beautiful

I just watched Ran last night, it was the first in color Kurosawa film I've watched and it was absolutely beautiful. I think spending decades filming in black and white allowed him to nail down the fundamentals so when he was finally able to use color he was able to use it to its full effect.
I won't forget that shot, you used it in this; of the man riding horse back towards the camera in a field and there's a ray of sunshine following his path. That's the sort of stuff you can never plan for and when it does happen it's like magic.

A beautiful montage using common scenic elements of different Kurosawa's movies. The most suttle passage is the scene where a couple looks at the bright stars in the dark sky and the next scene is of a moving car whose black painted metal body reflects the street lights at night. This is poetic. Thank you.

The landscape defines the person. Kurosawa expressed this to the fullest. I think he reminds Westerners, who have a tradition of anthropocentrism, of forgotten landscapes. But he was also skillful in portraying people. It is said that Kurosawa respected Ozu. Ozu accurately captured and brilliantly portrayed people who blended into nature. He accomplished what even Kurosawa could not. But ...... Kurosawa is more famous now. Kurosawa's beauty is a proof that he was more concerned with the universality of the landscape than anyone else to the end.
