Think im getting a little set in my ways, new gear has to be leaps and bounds better than my tried and trusted before I buy, then again that would make for a dull gear channel!! Would like a titanium bottle though, have a lifetimes worth of titanium pots but do like a metal bottle (mines stainless steel)and I've reached the age where it's advisable to keep the pack weight down. I agree on the sit pad especially if you've put in the miles, a little comfort is no bad thing.
Looks like a solid kit for the year, hopefully all of it will last so you can give a real world review. I didn’t hear you say,who makes the ground cloth you are laying out the gear on? Thanks for the content. Anthony
Can't help but think all the different bags just add extra weight to your pack, couldn't you just pack items in availible pockets of your pack/bag? Otherwise seems like a good selection.
Hello! I just came across your channel and really enjoyed this video. Being from Ohio, could you tell me where I can just walk into the woods for a simple bushcraft outing for the day? I moved here from NY 2 years ago and love the metro parks. However, I don’t think I can walk into the park and practice bushcraft. I live near Columbus. Can you tell me where I can go to do what you did in this video? Set up a tarp, light a small fire, etc.? Thanks, David
That knife from what I heard from Gideonstactical, the handles will loosen at the rivets after a little batoning. Looking forward to your reviews on these things.
The BPS knives are actually made in Ukraine. After I bought my first one and saw the quality for the price point, I’ve bought several more and they are great gifts for younger, beginner bushcrafters. The quality of their sheaths alone is better than knife/sheath offerings from other manufacturers. The handle fit and finish can be easily nit picked but the value is in the quality of the blade. Their knives have gone up in price considerably since I bought my first one but I really believe they are well worth the price for what the average enthusiast would need. I have knives costing five times the price of a BPS and yes, big difference in appearance fit and finish but the blades are very similar in truth. Just depends on if you’re looking for a knife to actually use in the field or show off to other knife enthusiasts. I’ve also bought some of their sheaths for my Moras, great fit.
Btw, I mean no disrespect, but danglers are what mtn men call sissy boy sheaths. They flip around & hit you in the jewels when you run, jump,& fight, etc. just say NO to danglers. Lol. But seriously;please be careful with the titanium canteen full. If you drop it ,it will nearly destroy it. I did first time out. Shew. Ok I'll shit up now.
Sorry, but my bearskin hoodie sucks. And way small for being a 3 extra large. And I wouldn't buy anything from Frick and frack. No offense. And what's wrong with friskar folding saw its a great saw. (That's said with a laugh, by way.)no one ever uses one. Sorry, I hope I didn't tick you off. And what was the tarp. I can't make that out. And the transcript didn't catch it.
Thanks for sharing, looking forward to see how everything holds up.
Nice load out! Also nice that you picked gear that is for the most part going to be in a beginners budget. Thanks for sharing my friend 🤠
This is a good idea. I change my gear for every adventure. Today I’ll make one of these packs today.
Awesome camo job on the Ax As always awesome video.
Good stuff my friend
Be careful when you put that axe down, I noticed it nearly disappeared when you laid it on top of the leaves!
Yep time for an orange lanyard
Agreed. Orange lanyards for a couple of items. At least the saw has an orange lanyard.
Rock on! 🎉 I’m gettin hammered tonight in central Florida with rain sooo, of course I’m outside 😂
Instead of shaping the spine of your knife, you can use the spine of your saw while it's closed.. works great. I have the same saw.. western PA here
Ive done that as well. Works great for sure
Looking forward to the coming year and new content. Best Regards.
That BPS knife looks very functional. It will be interesting to see how it performs as time goes on. Canada.
I sit on an Amazon bubble envelope. It’s very lightweight and waterproof.

David look into wildlife areas on the ODNR website. Just be careful during hunting season.
Always great to watch your videos…all the best from michigan

You can use your pack ,or possible bag lid,for a sit pad. No need to carry xtra

You can't sit comfortably without a dangler. The Finn's figured that out long ago
Why sit on you pack and make it dirty
😮
I always enjoy the videos, where can I get a hat like that.
I think you can find these on amazon

I never said the fiskar saw was bad. If you don't like your hoodie that's fine I don't really care. Mine is awesome and true to size
@@ThePreparedWanderer mm sorry. Don't worry about the fiscal. Or anything else.
Wrong
Lost me at “you’re wrong”
Ah
What did he say "you're wrong" about? I missed it.
You're wrong if you watch this video 😂😂😂
If you don’t have a sit pad…
