Thats a excellent video really enjoyed watching that, very calm voice from the ghillie but i can imagine that was quite a tricky situation....superb :) Well done as well Ruth !!
This brings back memories. I fished Loch Brora about 40 years ago, I was just dapping for sea trout, never caught anything but it was very enjoyable. That young lady was ecstatic with that lovely salmon, and she played it well. Well done you for netting it and giving her some sound advise.
Thanks once again for your kind words Brian, they are much appreciated. I’m delighted to hear that you’ve fished the loch, it’s a truly ancient and magical place, where dreams can come true.
Delighted to hear that you enjoyed it Micky, I’ve never been so glad to see a salmon going into the net……. 😅 Many thanks for your kind words, I really appreciate them 🙏❤️🎣
Great to see a fish well played and a possible disaster averted … …..stunning loch …. Can’t beat the Highlands …. You cover a bit of ground ( and water) ……..great video , one very happy lady …!
Many thanks for your kind words Iain, much appreciated. Everyone who catches a salmon these days is definitely lucky and I suppose the salmon was lucky too, for back in the day, it would definitely have become the centre of attention…. on the dinner table….. not on a RUclips video, swimming away!
Couldn’t agree more Sean 😂 Trying to release the bind from the spool with a salmon pulling hard on the line, as it tried to get back to the sea, was definitely not easy. Ruth holding the rod and the camera and me holding the bound up spool….. comedy gold 🎣😂
That feeling at the end.......... Brilliant
Couldn’t agree more Richard, thank you for your kind words.
Well done Ruth and Cameron you done a fantastic job so she could get the chance to play and land this cracking fish👍
Cheers Mick, many thanks for your kind words 🙏❤️👍🏻

Ruth deserves a medal for landing that fish. It was a cracker of a fish especially on a trout rod. Tight lines from an older Salmon angler in AUS.
Many thanks for your kind words Norman, they are very much appreciated. Tight lines from Bonnie Scotland 🎣🎣🎣
Outstanding - victory snatched from the jaws of defeat! Well done.

Many thanks for your kind comments, much appreciated. Fantastic fish to land on a 9’6” trout rod 🙏❤️👍🏻
Nothing quite like a salmon on a trout rod, bet she felt every minute of that fight and her heart was pumping. Class ❤🏴
What a beauty! I would love to have a go for salmon on a loch. Maybe one day...?

Not sure if Ruth was lucky or the fish was unlucky! Either way a good recovery and great result for both👍
