    This is in Drop D for those struggling on why the 3rd Fret on the 6 string sounds like an F.

    • @liamwebbthesequel

      i think he might be using dadgad that or he might be using double drop d. all i know is that his high e string is tuned to d

      The top guitar is tuned to DADGBD just so I could get the intro harmonics, and the bottom guitar is in normal drop D

      @@JoeMcDaniel Thanks for clarifying.

  • @JRTyndale

    For those who just want to play it in Drop D or even get away with standard E tuning, you can hit the 2nd harmonic on the D string just in front of the 3rd fret. Think of it like (3.1), and the first harmonic is G string 7th fret (7.0). Just a thought to include that for anyone who didn't need to have a six string tuned to DADGBD. Praise the Lord!

    Thank you for recording and posting this video! We’re doing this song Sunday and I’m playing rhythm electric for it. This was all I needed to be prepared!
    Also, that Gretsch is stunning! Did a search for it and couldn’t find one anywhere. If you ever need to consolidate your guitars I’m sure you’d have no trouble finding a buyer (hint, hint) 😂

      Did you do any upgrades to yours? I believe I have one on the way but the Bigsby looks different than yours.

    • @JoeMcDaniel
      @JoeMcDaniel  3 года назад +2

      @@jasenXcore I did change a few things. Only cosmetic things though.
      The first change I did was swap the Bigsby B50 for a B70, they are different looking but function and feel the same. The second thing I did was change the pickup covers, just because I thought regular filtertron covers looked cooler. Other than that completely stock!

      Joe McDaniel bro I did NOT expect a reply this fast! Thank you so much! Also... I hear a sort of rotary sound when you let a chord ring, is there a rotary effect or is it just cuz the amp/cab is being pushed?

      @JoeMcDaniel  4 года назад

      @@dhoops616 Haha you're welcome man! I get these notifications on my phone, so I see them almost right away. As for the rotary type sound, I believe what you're hearing is me using the bigsby

    what is the D chord you are playing right at the end of the bridge before it goes back into the chorus?

    • @JoeMcDaniel
      @JoeMcDaniel  4 года назад

      I'm not exactly sure which one you're talking about. The D that I play before crashing out is
      B - 3
      G - 2
      D - 0
      A - 0
      D - 0
      If this is not the chord you meant, let me know. Haha
