I did something similiar but instead stacking armor i stacked health, i did wear the heaviest armors i could find though except for body armor i used an epic occultist tunic since it gives str and way more stats. I dont remember my pdr of the top of my head.. reached 192hp unbuffed by stacking str, max hp and % max hp, smacking people with falchion and healing with book curses and +11 magic healing. One of the funniest warlock builds ive done, you truly feel unkillable at times. I used phantomize to catch casters and overall phantomize feels much stronger after boc and additionl damage nerfs, boc feels very good still in groups though depends on the group. Next we are trying this build with buffball, tanky warlock replacing barb.
that's an insane amount of health! My buddy did something similar on ranger for some reason and ended up around 150 hp lol made me laugh that he had more hp than I did with this set

Just saw this video, cool idea, my group loves to gather gold and drop it on stupid builds like this, back before armour roll nerfs we had frontline bard at over 50% pdr, magic damage cleric before the magic damage rolls got reduced, etc... Just wanted to clarify as you said at the end "with my magic resist this shield is more like 50hp" none of the shields work this way, they're actually super weird, protection pot, spell and eldritch don't work with your PDR / MDR they are the flat value you see, (*at least* in the case of prot pot) they also protect you from the headshot multiplier. Nice game play and it's surprising how much damage people do even when you're at such high defence!
Yo thanks for clarifying, I didn’t know that about protection. I knew they behaved weirdly with traps, but not the rest. That changes how you might value them for sure. Also it’s good to know other people are pushing limits :)
Was hoping to get to try different stuff but died too soon lol I was originally thinking I would be dueling the enemy tank and it sounded good for mid and close range. It’s so slow though. and tank duels were non existent in this meta
Lol just kidding, they will be huge. Mainly the cost of curse of pain going down. Best mid range option for spamming since it’s hit scan and you should be able to spam it again. Also helps with hydra combo. And ray of darkness will finally scale well so it may even end up being decent
i hope you wont be annoyed by my advice : I look half the video in ruin and I see ( I may be wrong i'm not a warlock expert ) one big mistake in your fight gameplay, in this ruin run there has been multiples times were you were casting and missing bolt of darknesses where you should have just kept on spamming curse of pain on your ennemies, have a good one
I've wanted to try this build for awhile... do you find it is better than the speed spellbook build? Also, ignore all the trash timmies that need to get gud in solo and have no gold. Keep up the content brother

I didn’t get a ton of footage with the set before I died, so you’re not totally wrong. but unfortunately that’s the reality of trying something new in high roller and it didn’t feel right Timmy slaying with this gear in normals. I did my best to show off the build concept because I still think it’s cool to challenge peoples understanding of what a class can be
@Euthafro even in ruins you did basically nothing, the issue is movespeed is one of the most valuable stats. A max moves peed build would be more interesting to watch. Just trying to give feedback

Divine Magic isn't every spell. Only a couple spells are considered Divine Magic. You can look on the wiki.
If you sacrifice yourself eldritch shield yourself same with eq if you are on the edge Erdrich yourself and walk out works for explosive bottles too

With the plate chest and crystal ball you’re really slow so it’s hard to stay in range
