Loved the video man 💯. Does anybody else think he looks like Ryan reynolds lol
He's gorgeous
Yes I thought so too..😉
First thought😅
I thought he was...and I didn't even question it
Haha yes!
I didn’t know Ryan Reynolds cleans jewelry.
Thank you Mr.Reynolds!
All I Can Say Is Thanks Man!!
Clicked to learn how to clean my jewelry, stayed because you're gorgeous 😄
😊 thank you
Ha!
I clicked because I saw a hot guy in the thumbnail 😍
Me, too
Yea he is hot lol.
I just wondering why salt? Jewelry companies dont recommend wearing plated jewellry on sweaty (salty) neck
Salt is a natural cleanser
Pretty sure sweat is pretty acidic too. Long exposure to salt is also an issue, short exposure shouldn’t be a problem.
Works on my gold plated screw on the Les Paul Guitar too. Thanks ... great useful info.
This is more like an ad. excruciating to watch
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SAVING MY LIFE!!! and my mom's too lol
I just used Foil, Baking soda and hot water. Why the salt?
Ok so i just tried this and it worked amazingly! Thankyou so so so much
You're very welcome I'm glad it worked for you :)
Begin shallou vibes ,❤❤
Omg, I did this with you. Shit, sooo happy. I can keep my favourite special rings, (cheap ones).thank you.
Thanks Dude 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤗, Very Meaningful and Good Info
Viewers, From Malaysia☺️🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾
Gosh. He's gorgeous..ahahaha! With love..😘💕
I feel so stupid I’ve been throwing tarnished jewelry away lmao. Just did it to a bunch of pieces and it worked
Where do you find Tin Foil? All I can find is Aluminum Foil? 😉
Same thing :)
Is this damaging to breath?? Bc it smelled awful and let some sort of smoke out very thin like if the water was that hot but it wasnt.
Not sure maybe wear a mask if youre concerned.
I had assorted cheap jewelries...I don't know if what kind of metals they are...is it applicable to all cheap fashion jewelry your solutions.
Thank you Sir, I tried it and it worked!
does this method work on a plated sterling silver jewellery?
Im not sure you should test it on a not visible area first.
ALSO WORKS ON MY SILVER PLATER CUBAN THANKS (NO DAMAGE)👌
step one toss in trash, step 2 get real shi
18kt gold over copper? 🤔🤨
I'm brand new here 😊 hello there from Oregon!
Can you use this same solution to clean silver plated earrings and filigree necklaces?
Great tutorial! Thank you!
Test first on a inconspicuous area.
What does the tin foil do?
Hi there. Love the video. Once the item is returned to copper, will it turn green?
I also have a piece I tried cleaning, but when I took it out of the bowl, it was half copper silver. Should I repeat it, or is there something else going on?
Thanks so much for doing this video.
Hang on a minute ! It’s not silver anymore ! It’s copper ! The silver plating is gone !
Nice. Will it work with white gold plated cuban link? It has little greenish stuff between the links.
Sancho Enkhbayar lmaooo fake ass chain hahahahha
@@alecsanderfuentes3913 i mean.. This is a video on how to clean plated chain soooo. Why are you here?
illest mortal yes because I totally came to this exact video to comment on this exact guy and say how his chain is fake because it obviously is from where he said “ GREENISH” are you ducking stupid
illest mortal you don’t clean FAKE CHAINS you moron
@@alecsanderfuentes3913 plated jewerly is in the title dumb bitch. Wtf do you think a plated chain is? Goofy
There must be at least 4,oooo videos with this exact same formula and method!
This video could have been 1 minute long... all the extra was not necessary
What is the foil for? Can you just use a bowl or a Tupperware type container?
Yes i think you can. experiment first.
I just used this today to clean 2 bass guitars from 1986 and 2005. It took all the tarnish off! The gold chrome plating has faded quite a bit on the 1986 but they both shine like the sun. Thanks so much, it really did the trickand probably saved me a cpuple hundred at the luthier.
Rock on!
Really good to know this tech. Guess I better not use a rouge cloth on plated metals.
When I wash my jewelry with soap and water to remove skin oils and perspiration, I'll rinse really wet, pat dry on a cloth and then I'll use canned air to blow out any water still in those nooks and crannies that a cloth can't get to. Then I'll pat with the cloth again.
Wow, thanks for this information, really thorough. Keep in mind this doesn't necessarily work perfectly on all plated products. We suggest testing small areas with a cotton swab first.
@@ContinentalBeadSuppliers You're welcome, of course. Love that canned air.
Thanks for letting me know not to trust the method for all plated finishes.
@Continental Bead Suppliers does ur method work on regular gold plated jewelry with lab made diamonds 🤔
So glad I came across this video! I just scored a Bradford Exchange wizard of oz charm bracelet with some tarnish as it’s 24k gold plated… hoping this works!
You are cute
Will that work for rhodium plated silver too?? I am really scared to try
I think he does a bit but is Way more handsome 😉
Anyone else think this guy looks like Ryan Reynolds? Just me?
This can be done to a stainless steel 14k gold plated correct ?
I did not try it on stainless or 14k gold. I recommend testing a tiny bit of the solution in a inconspicuous area before cleaning
@@ContinentalBeadSuppliers ok. Thx
@@illestmortal did it work on your gold ?
@@918scooby4 don't have any GP anymore. Only rocking silver
what to do if its a gold plated watch ? dont wana sink it i the solution
Thanks for this video. I have been trying to find out how to clean my jewelry.
worked like a charm on my merjuri plated pieces! thank you so much 😄
I thought you couldn’t wet plated jewelry?
Is this solution harmful to watch glass?
How to removed Rust from my gold plated spoon without damage its plated gold .should I follow the same procedure from the Video ?
I don't know every gold plating is different. This method works on our chain specifically.
Nigga rust? xD buy a new one
@@almightyalan8942 Nigga? Ok 🤔
Does it work on 18K gold plating ?
Hey Dean? Dean is it? I have a somewhat a request/Question to ask if you have the time to answer that would be great. My oldest son loves his jewelry/ Biker Jewelry to be exact an has One Specific Biker Ring that has been lost an found but has been Corroded with what appears to be Green an White an just looks awful. Any Suggestions?
Sounds like the finish of the ring has worn off. Unfortunately there is nothing he can do.
Just tried it on silver plated jewelry and it worked
I kept some chandelier earring components in a box and that box was inside a storage container, so I didn't think the environment could interact very much with them because they were basically covered up by other things that should be chemically non-reactive, especially inside their own box. I opened the box a few days ago to find that they were all tarnished and I didn't realize that plated things would tarnish like solid silver. I will definitely try this to see if they can be de-tarnished. BTW, the pieces I have a problem with turned purple and orange, so I can personally say it does happen like in the video.
If you want to prevent tarnishing then put it inside a small zip-lock bag and suck the air out of the bag or wrap it in plastic wrap.
love

Can you use ammonia
Oh wow thought thus was Ryan Reynolds 😂
can you provide a possible solution to getting gum out of a gold plated ring, please? It has tiny nooks and crannies and I'm frantic about it! It's one of my most prized possessions and it was simply a freak accident. I used hot water but I can't get all of it. TIA!!
Hm. Have you thought of using a new soft toothbrush? Maybe that would agitate it enough to come out?
I did and it got the surface gum off but nothing underneath the stones :( I was told I'd have to send it off to have the remaining removed to make it shine again.
@@greenbaypackergirl10 try ice, frozen gum chips off easy. Works for wax as well
Does this work on gold plated?
it works for me!
It is amazing that a little video on cleaning (this guy knows his method works on this type of jewelry and has much success using it, but is NOT an expert)(no offense dude), can generate hundreds of dumb questions from lazy people who think this dude has all their answers. SMH. Some people are so dumb. Thanks for the great tip/method dude.
Bruh, can I use this to clean my Apple Milanese loop gold? Hoping for your reply. Thanks
I'm not 100% sure. We recommend testing it on a small area that's not super visible.
Thanks
will this works on goldfilled and what if there are beads or precious stones like ruby? ty
I have not tested this on gold-filled or precious stones so proceed with caution.
Toothpaste works great!!!
Can I use it for my rose gold pendant...
Im not sure all plating is different. Maybe try it first.
How about cleaning 14k or 18k gold? And removing scratches.
I'm sure you've found your answer by now but to clean any real gold you don't need any fancy products, dishsoap works wonders and if you wanna buff out some scratches you'll need to bring it in to a local jeweller so he can polish it, that takes off a very thin layer of gold but it makes it look brand new again!
Please advise how to clean crystal beads with finish on them
The finish on crystal beads is very delicate. I made a bracelet with them and the recipient ruined the finish just by wearing the bracelet in the shower.
Non of these work for me?
Aw man sorry we couldn't help.
Why its need foils?
Tarnish transfers/sticks to foil
Does this work on good plating?
Always test first!
Does this work on fake silver?
We suggest testing on a small area before
Love it and so easy
Sharon Aaron thank you!
Great info!! DAKES DESIGN
Thank you! Just be sure to test before cleaning everything at once.
Nobody me cleanes jewlery with wd40 Me "damn this smells" sprays cologne on it :)
So is the foil necessary?? Can I mix in a plastic container?
Im not sure how it will react otherwise. I would experiment on a piece of jewelry you don't like or something else that is plated before.
Wont this get rust?
Can this process remove the rust on my silver plated necklace?
Yes also add vinegar will also help
I did not try it on sterling plated necklaces. I recommend testing a tiny bit of the solution in a inconspicuous area before cleaning
@@elchefnassar really?? Does it work??
@@poojaseju2228 yep just done it on an old one last week and worked great
@@poojaseju2228 also packing soda powder is the best for sliver
Thank you!
Jeannette Cruz-Ortiz you’re welcome!
Good to know, thanks!
Thank you, Dean!
Fern Greenwald hope it helps! Thanks for watching. 😊
Does this work with gold
Yes worked with my 24k gold plated screw on my les paul guitar. If it's pure gold it won't rust.
Dragging too long for a 5 minute work. Talking rubbish.
Are you Deadpool?
I do not have Tin foil😂
They sell it everywhere :)
Is tin foil necessary?can't it be done directly in container?
I'm not sure. Ive only done it with the tin foil.
The aluminium in the foil is required to react with the baking soda to remove the tarnish.
How do I get the brass smell off my necklace for good?! I have no idea if it’s gold plated, I’ve had it a long time (don’t even remember where it’s from haha) and it’s not really tarnished it just stinks.. or do I have to suck it up and clean it every time the smell comes back? This vid is awesome!
hmm Im not 100% sure. I would test it on a small area. If the necklace smells maybe just give it a gentle rinse.
I watched this video 3 times and I have a silver plated necklace and I clean my necklace baking soda and hot boiling water nothing happened still pink around the back area why is that?
Will this work with jewellry that has turned green? It's happened to my rose gold plated ring.
Ya it was Copper to begin with. No do that with silver
is it okay to ask why? just need an explanation thanks
I did what same procedure with my pandora bracelete and it repair it
Hans or making this video, I just bought an articulated necklace & earring set & the necklaces after 2 times wearing it started getting black dots o it. I was so sad because I thought I had lost $200 down th drain but I’m gonna try his. 👍🫡👌
