Sorry, no tutorial for this mod. Just cuting the cover, PC fan big size 120mm, holes at the right side where the Motor, red wire with red wire, black with black. Result : i can boost FFB on maximum in assetto corsa, and playing 8 hours with no security mode on. The motor is always cooling but the noise of fan....
Maybe try replacing that fan with a Noctua for quiet yet high cfm. Albeit I doubt you can really hear the fan if you have your speakers or headphones on! Edit; didn't realize this is 3yrs old already! Is it still holding up?
Looks really great. The original cooling system is joke and my fan is dying so I'm thinking about replacing it or make such nice mod like this. Do you have any guide or tips how to do it? I'm not into DIY but this looks promising.

Trying the sort out the exact overheating issue. Is your fan on top blowing air towards the motor or away from it?
