I was talking to my daughter around 6 months ago telling her how fantastic katie was when she said dad she’s horrible. I asked her if she’d ever listened to anything she’d done and that night sent her a few things from katie’s arms . 6 months later she’s just booked 2 tickets to see the gorgeous katie at the point in sunderland and it falls on my birthday which is a big win. ❤

Brilliant attitude….I was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer and had 8 sessions of chemo (when the standard was 6), 31 days of radiation and 2 ops. First lumpectomy then full mastectomy. Took over a year of treatment but it still came back 🤷♂️

Cancer.. my late husband.. enjoying his last years doing a bucket list things we talked about and put of because of children and work or no money.. found money, sold things and had a fantastic time living, while dying.. making memories and shared photos with family and friends following his journey

We are all dying but the silver lining in your case is that you guys have decided to really live and enjoy life. When i was starting the cancer fight the first thing i said was "ok whats the plan" i didn't hesitate. I had two young children and a life i enjoyed. I had operations chemo and radiotherapy. Im still here.
I agree. Its not nice, but it its do-able and, by the way, there is no "going out in a blaze of glory" when you have cancer. You do not feel like having a rave and filling up on drugs. Quite the opposite.

@@the4d246 This I'm acutely aware of unfortunately. My Grandfathers, their brothers & cousins all defended this land in WWI, my dad, his brothers & cousins defended this land in WWII. My dad wouldn't go to any D Day Landings Anniversary Celebrations, having played a pivotal role. When I asked him why, he sighed & said, " We were all great lads when we were fighting, but thrown on the scrapheap when it was over & now they want to parade us out again, when it suits them, I don't think so !" When he died, I found all his medals hidden away, found his Service Number & the search began. I'm not going to go into details as dad was no blowhard, but he'd done things I been places that I never would've expected of him, as he was a quiet, poetry loving man by nature. It explained his benders on the drink & the sobbing after them, nobody knew about PTSD then, but it's what he suffered, I'm certain ! He worked as he was a highly skilled man, but there must've been times he wanted to run away from it all & himself ! Having looked into history, Britain has always forgotten the men & women who defended this land, Nelson was feted while the dead & dying sailors were left to rot at Spithead, where they eventually mutinied, Wellington was feted but thought British soldiers the scum of the earth, but boasted he'd turned them into honourable men ! We haven't come very far in our Government's treatment of our veterans & even some civvies today are quick to forget, exactly what they were prepared to do & would've sacrificed their lives for. Government's & politicians come & go, their words are hyperbole & meaningless, history has proved that their mealy mouthed promises are empty ! Take heart, most of us do care deeply about what you've stood for & gone through, for us & this land !

Katie, I’ve been following you for years. When you suddenly “disappeared” I was so sad. Then one day I saw you pop up on RUclips and YEA!! When I first met my husband and I introduced him to a close childhood friend, he asked her “what was “B” like when she was a kid”. Without hesitation she said “she was always the one who said out loud what everyone else was just thinking”. I now live in Florida and hope you’re planning to come here for a tour. BTW, I made my first trip to England last June and visited Bideford which is the town where my 6th great grandfather was born and left to come to America in 1650’s. His name was Charles Glidden and all Glidden’s now in America are apparently descended from him. It was amazing to walk where he lived and to imagine his excitement for a new future but his great sadness knowing he’d never see his home again. We just did what we did, to me it’s no different then wanting to care for children, or teach, or heal. Protecting, is just what some men like to do. Thou, what I do ask for. Is thx from my government. In the form of help! That’s all most of us need. It’s like everything. The people are fine. It’s the management that’s the problem.
@@the4d246 This I'm acutely aware of unfortunately. My Grandfathers, their brothers & cousins all defended this land in WWI, my dad, his brothers & cousins defended this land in WWII. My dad wouldn't go to any D Day Landings Anniversary Celebrations, having played a pivotal role. When I asked him why, he sighed & said, " We were all great lads when we were fighting, but thrown on the scrapheap when it was over & now they want to parade us out again, when it suits them, I don't think so !"
When he died, I found all his medals hidden away, found his Service Number & the search began. I'm not going to go into details as dad was no blowhard, but he'd done things I been places that I never would've expected of him, as he was a quiet, poetry loving man by nature.
It explained his benders on the drink & the sobbing after them, nobody knew about PTSD then, but it's what he suffered, I'm certain ! He worked as he was a highly skilled man, but there must've been times he wanted to run away from it all & himself !
Having looked into history, Britain has always forgotten the men & women who defended this land, Nelson was feted while the dead & dying sailors were left to rot at Spithead, where they eventually mutinied, Wellington was feted but thought British soldiers the scum of the earth, but boasted he'd turned them into honourable men !
We haven't come very far in our Government's treatment of our veterans & even some civvies today are quick to forget, exactly what they were prepared to do & would've sacrificed their lives for. Government's & politicians come & go, their words are hyperbole & meaningless, history has proved that their mealy mouthed promises are empty !
Take heart, most of us do care deeply about what you've stood for & gone through, for us & this land !

Nothing has changed towards our veterans over many years, even in these so called enlightened times, when charitable help is freely given to those least deserving. All our veterans deserve so much better than politicians are willing to give, they who give nothing but empty promises. My gratitude goes to all our veterans, past & present.

When I first met my husband and I introduced him to a close childhood friend, he asked her “what was “B” like when she was a kid”. Without hesitation she said “she was always the one who said out loud what everyone else was just thinking”.
I now live in Florida and hope you’re planning to come here for a tour. BTW, I made my first trip to England last June and visited Bideford which is the town where my 6th great grandfather was born and left to come to America in 1650’s. His name was Charles Glidden and all Glidden’s now in America are apparently descended from him. It was amazing to walk where he lived and to imagine his excitement for a new future but his great sadness knowing he’d never see his home again. I see you as one of those same fearless ones who faces all life’s risks and says “bring it on!”.

I am a 73 year old man and in my own small way are continuing to battle with my energy supplier EDF and other big companies. I love my country, but have considered for some time succeeding ( as the Confederate States of America did) and forming the Albion Free State and at least becoming a micro nation. I am not quite there yet. I feel oppressed by the government and have done so for some years. My and my wife's parents fought for the freedom of this county in ww2, they must be spinning in their graves to see what this proud natio has become.
