    This is an excellent lesson here. Will definitely be working on this. The video you did with Malaska using the ground forces and not worrying about clearing your hips is the only thing that cured my early extension. Excellent work. Thank you.

      For sure.....I would just say ifs its more "closed" going back (or less open) then you wouldn't do as much closing coming down

    How do you fix dynamic loft is too low and not enough spin to keep the ball up in the air long enough to carry further? I have the opposite problem like others, I’m struggling with swing too far inside out, which results in duck hooks and maybe blocks if I keep my hands quite.

    • @CogornoGolf
      @CogornoGolf  2 месяца назад

      Hey!
      I would need to see your swing to say for sure....but yeah based on what youre sayin you would do the OPPOSITE of this
      1. Make sure the face isn't too closed (find out why it is and fix
      2. Make the path less in to out
      LOTS of ways to do that....I cant say for sure HOW....YOU....should fix without seeing your swing. Send swings to www.cogornogolf.com we can fix for you there for sure

      @@CogornoGolf You bet. When I got the X5 last year, the stats are mental. it presented me with a big eye opener after just 4-5 rounds. While I was practicing on driver and irons, I found out I was actually gaining strokes compared to the next hcp bracket. Instead it was brutally honest to point out I needed to improve my 3-7 feet putts massively instead!

      You are correct. I go to where the divot on the green is or the general area of where the ball landed. All winter was pretty easy as on my course everything plugged:-) Much harder when getting firm roll out.

    Eric- I’ve always tried to match the inclination of my club head like that of my body to the ground, on the takeaway of the club in the backswing. I try to get a bowed wrist at the top, and rather than a cupped one. You mentioned in this video not to do that? I realize you’re trying to correct a problem this gentleman is having. I see many pros look at their club with a mini backswing before they hit the ball….

    • @CogornoGolf
      @CogornoGolf  2 месяца назад +1

      Hey! I would say Ron you're correct in your thinking.....You want the club face roughly parallel to back line in takeaway and then lead wrist relatively flat with club face parallel to forearm at top
      The point for him was that we was OVER DOING THAT part at top (which wasn't his problem).....his face was ALREADY OK at top.....he twisted it open STARTING DOWN.....so needed him to focus on that

      This is why Hogan said he wished he had three right hands - - that counterclockwise twisting from the elbow down is the way all great ball strikers hit the ball. - - Unfortunately, I’m not one of them, but I’m trying thank you very much Eric.

    Turning the hands in the downswing is very difficult for some reason. Why can't you just replace that move with a much stronger grip?

  • @chaddy-me-boy8299

    Not that we all need to swing like “Ben Hogan”.
    Eric, how did Ben close the clubface when it “seems” like his palm was faceup in his free ride down?
    Thx.

      didn't hogan have a weak grip (also his right hand was weak, rotated left). A different grip will totally change your wrist angles. his natural swing through ball caused hooks.

      @@sharkstreyef9330. I’ve over the years have even closed the hood at address and just pulled thru at impact? Solid, but I know that’s not the way to swing, but if your not finding it on the course, it’s helped me.

      Hey! Hogan had weaker grip......so he did more through wrist angles (lead wrist flexion and ulnar deviation) along with healthy arm rotation (lead arm supination, trail arm pronation)
