I’m also a med student from Korea and I totally feel how when sometime I think that I did a great job on my lab report or essay or whatever, I actually do pretty bad😭 But no regrets, at least I tried my best(i think)👍🏻
ahhhh honestly me every single time!! even at school, tests I though went terribly never did, and tests I thought I did well on turned out not so great haha - it's probably why I'm rarely ever happy with how my work goes hehe! And yeah totally - all you can do is try your best!! :)
I am a med graduate in China and the feeling is way worst when your tutor has some expectations, you think you delivered exactly what he/she asked and then, boom!!! he/she reads it and claims is nothing at all what he/she asked...

I’m a vet student and I’ve just started documenting my journey on RUclips. I only started studying at the start of April (I know, weird!) but that means I’ve only been studying at home so far. I’m really enjoying it, and I’m excited to see the similarities/differences between the vet course and medicine course although dreading when I actually get assignments for the first time!! Love the videos x

Another great vid! Thanks for showing some of what you’re currently doing (or were) in your course. I’m finishing up my second year in Norway, it’s fun to see where the curriculum diverges and not. I felt like Cambridge was way ahead of us last year, but we had microbiology as well then, while this year has been all about anatomy and physiology of the healthy human body. I hope those descending pathways to motor neurons make more sense to you now, it can just take some time for it to properly click in my experience. 🙏
Thank you! And yeah it's really interesting how the curriculum differs between different countries and even between different med schools within the same country! And haha thank you, not sure I've got them mastered yet but I've still got quite a lot of time before exams :)
I really really love your videos! I am a med student at the end of my first year and I can relate so much to your experience and it truly helps to see you talk about failure and struggle and mental health etc. because I went through hell this year and the first few months I thought about quitting on a daily basis because noone seemed to struggle as much as I did but now I see that I put way too much pressure on myself and surrounded myself with the wrong kind of people. Again your videos are amazing and I am thinking about doing videos on RUclips too, however I am scared about people in my town finding out - any tips? xx
Hey, thank you so much I'm glad you like my videos! And yeah definitely, I felt the exact same and I felt like I was the only one because noone really talks about struggling, but there are probably loads of other people in the exact same position! And I totally agree, it depends so much on what kind of people you surround yourself with, 'toxic' people for lack of a better term can really impact your mindset and outlook especially if you're not feeling too great to begin with. Ahhh you definitely should start if you want to - I think there will always be people who make fun of you unfortunately, as was my experience in school, but that's such a minority and most people will probably be really accepting or just won't mind. It was really surprising to me when I started back when I was in school how many people reached out to me to tell me they liked my vids/thought what I was doing was really cool even though I'd barely even spoken to them before! So go for it :))) xx
Magda Weronika sorry for not replying sooner - I am really surprised to hear your experience with youtube and school, I would be curious to see how many people would actually encourage me to start doing RUclips. And even if I try to care less about what people think of me, it‘s really hard to let go... but I am glad people did encourage you and that you are sharing this experience with your audience :)
I was just thinking about how I would ike to go Cambridge for medicine and ironically this came on my recommended, glad I found this! Hopefully I will be able to get in it’s my dream uni 💞💞

Hi, I haven't really thought about it too much as I'm not sure that's the kind of thing which interests me personally, although I'm not sure I'm going to go into auto-immune disease either haha, I just don't know yet! I'm currently just doing lots of work for uni and other projects I'm doing :)

Did you go to a privet school? Because I feel like only people who went to privet schools get into Cambridge 🤷🏼♀️
I can't talk for her, but I just got on offer and I've attended pretty bad state schools all my life. There's still more private school kids than at some unis, but it's decreasing a lot.
Actually I'm pretty sure that last year the number of people who got in from state schools was more than those from private schools! Cambridge still has problems with diversity but I do think it's moving in the right direction, definitely not a requirement to go to a private school!

hey, nope I didn't go to a private school! as the other comments have said there's definitely still a disparity between the number of private vs state students, but there are still loads of people here who haven't gone to a private school, so you won't be alone so don't let that put you off applying if you want to!

Ummm honestly it depends, most weeks it was 2. And yeah it differs between colleges

hey, no I don't really, we aren't allowed to have part time jobs while at Cambridge, although I am able to make a little income through youtube :)
